When I attempt to install Dragon Age Origins, the extraction gets stuck at 22.3% Any ideas how to get past this? I've disabled Antivirus and the Firewall. That didn't help.

Without any useful information at all, no one can assist. There is a sticky pinned on top that starts with "Read First" that you chose to ignore. If you want an answer, you cannot ignore the way things work here.

Well, I was looking for a quick answer. I thought maybe there was a common problem at 22.3%, and it seems that I am right. I am tired of looking through forums and reading about how people have the same problem for 60 straight posts just to find that no one actually has a real answer. Therefore, I will right. THIS ANSWER WORKED FOR ME!
I did some testing and discovered it is my DVD drive. I'm not sure why the drive has such a problem with the disc, but when I network my computer to a laptop and map the DVD drive from the laptop to my computer and run the install through the network, it works fine. There, I just, "ignored how things work around here."

Hi Snayven- i have the exact same problem. Bioware has just been sending me on a goose chase and I am so past dealing with this problem. How did you connect the drives? How did you get your laptop to recognize the drive on the computer? This is such a headache. I had this full Ultimate game on the lap top. BW bugged it with unauthorized and for more than two months we have been trying to undo the problem. Finally, uninstalled game and bought a new one to re-install. Laptop loaded and unloaded regular Origin version-no problems but the Ultimate? First it skips registration page completely. I tried to go back, won't go to that page, skips past it. BW gave me these really complicated instructions on how to get rid of original auth code but code is not on file or in install file either. That isn't causing the problem. Nor is it any updates for game card or well that other program that comes with the game, it is already updated from the original load. Thank you for your help. I really would like to finish my game.
