And here I showed me getting it on with Liara to my mum on purpose when she was over, once. I was all "look, she's my girlfriend", and mum had to fill in with this scary, firm voice "...IN THE GAME, you mean" xD

Basically, any awkward situation in life can be handled by grabbing the nearest thing to you, in this case it SHOULD be the controller and throwing it to the floor, followed by shouting... 'YOU DON'T JUDGE ME!!!!' then wandering off to a corner and saying 'No-one knows what its like to be me...' in a quiet voice.... Like a 'Get out of Jail free' card that works for everything, well...... except perhaps murder, and, erm, anything else that you would actually be in jail for.

My boyfriend plays too, so...It doesn't matter. Love scenes in games are...virtual. Who cares!? Plus I always have romances with Liara (Until ME3 *crosses fingers* I can get with Tali.) and I'm pretty sure he's more than okay with that.

The only time anybody ever walks into me room while I'm playing Mass Effect is when femshep and Liara start doing it. 
Literally nobody bothers me in the 20+ hours it takes to do all the missions, but that 1 minute window...

A helpful hint: save game before starting the scene.  Alternately, create a new save before starting.
