Not too sure about Shiala since I'm not discounting some odd leftover bit of Thorian mold going on there, but I would like to see something more w/ith Parasini.  She seemed the most realistic to me.

Implying being anti gay is somehow the same as being racist. Wow im not agianst gay people but thats insulting towards people who have a different opinion than you or me

People can't help be gay nor black.

I find this funny. Cause homosexuals have a tendency to think that when realizing the 'target' they are hitting on is straigth, they just need to be able to be 'given the chance to teach it'...

Its a fallacy to connect racism and homophobia.

You cant sum up hatred in one big lump and call everyone in that lump the same thing.

So if im hating snakes then im the same as them just because the snake was born that way and its different from birds?

It is fallacy to bring birds and snakes into a discussion about people.

Its a fallacy to connect racism and homophobia.

What do you not understand about hating someone for being who they are?

Maybe.  More likely Gianna though.

Though, the topic of this thread now seems to be "Gay people and the heteros that support them only b/c it's 'cool' suck!".

It's been mentioned that non-squad members may be romanceable so it's possible. I'm not sure if they're going to go the route of the incidental flirting like with Kelly. I think they're focusing on more deep and meaningful relationships.

Just like Kelly was supposed to be "romanceable" in ME2. I would love it but i doubt serious romance outside of the squad will happen

Being anti gay still have no connection whatsoever to racism. Thats just insulting towards such people. You cant really be the victim if you insult them just as much as they insult the gay community

Obligatory "won't someone think of the homophobes?"

It is wrong to discriminate based on race. It's also wrong to discriminate based on sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, weight - a whole slew of things.

And yet some people  are doing all of these at once.( well, minus the weigth one)

it seems alot of people in this thread are like "we gay and we proud who cares what anyone else feels"

but if the straight people was like that..than we wouldnt even be having this discussion about gay content being forced into the game.. they give the gays sumthing but they hate on everyone with a different oppinion about gays ?... nice work gays ur really showing me how nice and understanding the ****** community is on this one.

We have this little proverb in German:
" Wie man in den Wald ruft, so schallt es herraus"
It basically says that you will get answers in the same tone that you asked your questions before. Think about it.

So anyone who believes in the original religions based on the bible are hateful people? .. I know a very large community of Jehovahs Witnesses,Mormons and other groups who think any form of homosexuality is a thing of satan.. does this make all these religious people evil just because they think this ??.... Can anyone really prove them wrong ? No one can say all religious is 100% wrong who knows..should all these people be hated on because of there beliefs ?

Bringing religion into this is off topic and against forum rules.

Basicly you just told him and his friends: 'Disagree with my opinion, and you are a terrible person...

Glad we got that sorted out.

Do you condone hatred towards gay people then?

This is off-topic too.

I can agree or disagree with people. Irrespective of that I will defend their right to have that opinion.

Just because they are animals? Got news for ya, Humans are animals. Just because we think we are smart enough to be something else doesnt change that.

People who hate pedofilia are anti gay and racist too?

Shepard's Pre-Defined Personality™ (as imagined by many)

Same-sex human: Y—wait, what? Uhhhh. Gross. Wait—am I a chick? Then, okay. Dance for me Kelly!

Wow, that's generalizing.

MY Shepard's Pre-Defined Personality™

Opposite-sex human: Yes please!
Asari: Yes please!
Opposite-sex turian: its an effing lizard eww
Opposite-sex quarian: Predator face eww
Opposite-sex drell: Who would want to do it with a frog?
Same-sex human: Not my thing

But I wouldn't advocate that all the LI's except for the asari and women be taken out just because I'm not interested. If you guys want to eff lizards and frogs go ahead:sick:. I think male on male, female on female is damn normal compared to that.:pinched:

Can I ask that we steer the topic of conversation away from peoples' opinions on sexuality in the real world to the manner in which same sex romances are implemented within the game itself? Whether that be from a gameplay perspective or a story one. This forum isn't for political debate.

People were asked for opinions. People are giving opinions.

*shrug*

And it's gone on for too long, it seems. Things are getting pretty heated and, dare I say, hateful on both sides so it's best we all drop it.

If anything, I say it gives Bioware a good estimate of how tender a subject it is to people.

Yeah and it's a shame that it's starting to not even talk about the game. it's what happens when trolls and ignorant people can just spout what they want to say.Posted Image

Open-minded: "Most of my friends and I do not agree with homosexuality/gay lifestyle"
Intolerant: ".....hate gays..."

Not seeing the difference between these two is the problem.

Calling someone a terrible person is the difference.

If you can't see the difference between having a different opinion and being a terrible person, I feel sorry for you.

This kind of debate has raged on in other forums and threads for years. I think they're already aware of it. The fact that people continually take this to insulting and offensive places when it's supposed to be discussing a game is not helping anyone.

Back to the op asking for our own personal opinions...s/s for new characters or old characters who were not LI's is fine with me but I think how most people view the previous LI's have already been solidified in their minds and to change it now is only going to cause a firestorm of anger. The direction this thread has taken proves that.

As for those that don't want it at all...since BW has already made their decision...just don't buy the game if it's that big of a problem for you.

Hate. His words.

If you don't know what the problem is with hating someone you don't know based on an aspect of who they are, then likewise.

When did you choose to be heterosexual then?
