You don't need to be bi/gay to enjoy the awesomeness that is Tim Curry.

I think we can all agree that Tim Curry is made of win.

I heartily concur with this opinion.

Actually, between me and my friends it's pretty common to make innuendos about women and sex (or just comment parts of their physique in a way that leaves no doubt as to the interest in doing sexual stuff with them) on a timescale that could certainly be said to be somewhat 'common'. I asume it is a thing that varies within cultures or 'cricles of people'. But between guys where I live, it's pretty common to comment on stuff they'd like to do with 'fine women' when they hang out with other guys.

Except on a military cruser. Talking about your female or male crew members in a sexual tone within earshot of a superior will get you in trouble for... le gasp, sexual harrassment.

I was in the army. Armored infantry. Nobody had any issues with the comments or tones there, and we had both female 'regulars' as well as female 'sergeants'. If anything, the jokes were just accepted and nobody showed as being bothered with them. If the females made jokes about men in the same way it was accepted equally.

I asume millitary culture differs from nation to nation, but there certainly was no issue with in my time in the army.

You mean the No camp isn't populated by holier-than thou types. We can't get decent arguments across without being shouted down at every turn, and for your type patting yourselves on the back and declaring that Bioware listened to the fans. Maybe so, but not very many of them, just the ones feeling aggrieved at the established orientation of Shepherd.

Shepard's sexuality was never supposed to (and shouldn't) be established. There was also the issue of the double standard (unless you think flirting with Kelly or Liara with femShep was somehow heterosexual).

That's what's been argued for years and now it seems Bioware agrees with it. Shepard's "established" sexuality never existed, no matter what PR line Ray clumsily attatched to the issue in order to brush aside a question he wasn't prepared for.

Sorry, Wereparrot, but you, ClonedZero, and SalsaDMC (?) actually don't constitute a majority. In fact, pretty much every poll I've ever seen on this subject shows that the vast "majority" of people SIMPLY DON'T CARE. So, good luck on your math SATs.

i REALLY hope you're not referring to the pointless BSN polls?
because i havent seen a single BSN poll that i'd look at for even reference.

brb, i should go post a poll "is Tali the best character in the series?" in the talimancer thread in the character board and then use that as proof the entire community thinks tali is the best character.

... Oh, you honestly believe this?

That you display a distinctly holier-than-thou atitude? Or that you are in a minority, cmpared with the rest of this board and any number of fans not on this board?

And you alone have gauged the whole ME fanbase and found that many people don't have an opinion on the timing of this development?

Well, at least I'm referencing SOMETHING. You guys are pulling this "we are the majority" argument out of thin air.

you misinterpret "acting straight", that only means "being physically attracted to the opposite sex and showing signs of it". which you can completely still do if you're wearing super tight jeans and singing showtunes.

Sorry for misinterpreting.  However, sometimes people don't show any signs, preferring to keep their sexual preferences to themselves.  Maybe they find it rude to talk about it too much, or maybe they're just not interested in discussing it.

Wrex, for example, never says a single thing about his taste in romantic partners.  The closest we get to that is his comment that fighting alongside women has a "different flavor" because his people don't do that.  Meanwhile, Tali didn't say a damn thing about sex until ME2, nor did Garrus.

Wrex could have been a real flamer and you would never have known.

Let's make it simple. If you have a reliable source indicating that most people here and outside the BSN are against s/s content in ME3, please let me know.
Otherwise, stop generalizing and stick to giving YOUR opinion on same-sex romances in ME3. Simple.

Edit: I reeaaalllyyy like Gianna for f/f.

Regarding that, I always felt it funny that Liara stated she was a child, and Shepard not even pushing for moral details or anything before jumping in bed with her.

I always find it funny that people twist what Liara actually said into something completely different.

Liara is an adult, but expresses dismay over that older Asari don't take her conclusions on the extinction of the Protheans seriously because she is still young.

A 20-something human would likely also be met with the same attitude if s-/he presented a theory that all the experts in whatever field we're talking about have failed to consider even after 30 or 40 years of studies.

She literally states that she is little more than a child in asari terms. It can't get more literal than that.
In this regard it doesn't matter that her appearance is one that people would be asumed to find attractive.

That Shepard does not examine asari culture and customs in relation to adulthood, especially when the codex states that 'mature' asari are usually 3 times Liaras age, just means he/she doesn't care enough about the age matter.

Anyways, this is prob offtopic, so I won't go more into it than this.

where am i generalizing? where am i completely against s/s content in ME3? please quote me. i dont remember ever saying that.

please stop reading one post completely out of context and projecting the rest.
its getting VERY tiresome.

i was refuting someone ELSE generalizing and using a bogus BSN poll as proof

If you aren't unwilling to accept your assumptions will sometimes be wrong why are you always arguing about it as if you do :| Nobody is saying it's not reasonable to assume most people are straight, just that it is unreasonable to assume that your assumptions about people's sexuality will always be correct just because they usually are.

I think it's overwhelmingly likely that the majority of players will not care, because it seems many of the millions of players who don't care enough about the game to make 4um poasts didn't dig any deeper than John Sheploo, Renegade douchebag. They wouldn't even know it's there.

Disclaimer to assure Jav that I am not actually calling any living, breathing, person a douchebag. Just this guy.

@Clonedzero and Everyone involved

If you cannot continue this discussion without derisive remarks and personal attacks and insults, and you cannot simply take the higher ground and walk outside and take a breath of fresh air instead of fuming over a gaming forum, then I will be forced to hand out bans to more than a few users.

This is the last warning
