I found the "I expect more class in my brothels" line to be similarly hilarious. Somebody should start a High class Brothels for ME3/DA3 group.
Personally, I think a "high-class" brothel would offer every type of human/elf/quarian/qunari/asari/dwarf/turian that a client might want. I wouldn't assume any client had a preference until he told me, but then I don't run a brothel.
Actually I liked the DA2 Brothel.."cough" ahem..
But the trap...oh god did that give a Wtf moment lol.

Would you support a toggle to remove all dialogue options suggesting the possibility of an interracial relationship between female Shepard and Jacob, because some people find it objectional?SarahAnne wrote...
I concur. I always play a straight female Shepard and I didn't like the fact that I have to go out of my way avoid a romance with Liara in ME1. And I didn't like the fact that some characters assumed that my female Shepard is into other women whenever she does something.
I don't care that Bioware decided to have s/s relationships available, but there should be option to have those dialogue options removed.
Even if your answer were yes, I'd doubt you'd say it out loud -- I'm sure you recognize how and why such a toggle would be offensive to some people.
A "gay toggle" would be offensive in the same exact way to LGBT people/supporters.

This was almost entirely trashed for his appearance in the second game, from the start of the game, and his relationship with Justice was a poor explanation for being an entirely different character. At that point, it should have been a different character. I don't want to see characters from Mass Effect abruptly changed or silly game moments made for the sake of being politically correct, especially when ME2 did such an outstanding job expanding upon the characters from ME1.

It's weird though. I don't have anything against BW including same sex romance as long as it's a new character but I find the thought of them changing old characters for that a bit... meeh. And now for those of you saying "Just because they haven't mentioned it doesn't mean they're not"... well just because they haven't mentioned it doesn't mean they are.
And here's another thing. Why should I, who plays as a straight Shepard who will not ever swing that way, even have to see the option to start a same sex romance? I mean my Shepard's not like that so why should it even be a dialogue option for me?
My Shepard isn't straight and never will be, so why should she have to see the option to start an opposite sex romance? She doesn't swing that way at all.

Personally, I would like a moment akin to when SHepard makes a pass at Samara. What if for example female Shepard finds herself shot down by James Vega who says: "I'm sorry Commander, but I don't swing that way". That would be a rather hilarious moment!
That would be funny.

So far the only people to congratulate the Fight for the Love thread people were the mods. As someone who believes in games as a way to break down prejudice, I think you guys have done a wonderful job. The content is in!

I don't mind same sex romances, but lets keep the romances limited. In ME2, it seemed like everybody wanted a piece of Shep, even when you were just trying to be a nice guy. In ME3, lower the number of possibilities of romances, and make them more in depth, and meaningful like that of the first Mass Effect
Agreed. Bioware is probably sensitive to both sides (inclusive without annoying straight guys who want to just play the game). I have a feeling you'll have to go out of your way and actively pursue a s-s romance in ME3, and they'll probably make it painfully clear that YOU'RE ABOUT TO HIT ON A DUDE to strike a good balance of gamer desires/concerns.

You know, it always boils down to this. I don't think I've ever backed down from my opinions on this site and you really won't be able to convince somebody as horribly stubborn as myself otherwise. So I'd rather not continue the whole morality argument. Needless to say, I think Bioware should respect my opinion just as much as your own.

Me too. There's a lot of straight LIs for both genders among the squaddies from ME1/2. Any new LIs should be bi or just gay. Fun.<3

Casey Hudson did say that the s/s romance will be available with how your Shepard acts around them within the game. Which may indeed mean that your Shepard must actively pursue an s/s romance. It would make sense.

And some people find homosexual acts offensive, or just don't like the idea of pre-existing characters being rewritten as bisexual. Saying "They're bigots" isn't a justification to avoid any sort of compromise like an option at the start of the game.

I'd be for simply gay. Just because that hasn't been done in Bioware games, has it?
Frankly, I would've prefered Fenris and Merrill to be gay/lesbian in DA2 too. (with Isabela as a bi female option and Varric as a straight male option and...just no Anders in the game. at all. not like that.)
