no offense to those who actually believe sexuality isn't a choice, but sexuality is a choice. I choose to be straight so I am. If I chose to be gay I would be.

Wow. A lot of homosexuals are envying you right now. :(

Nah, I'd still choose to be gay.  Having dated both, guys are so much easier to deal with.  No PMS, no "omg my feelings" talks.

Not to sound like a mysogynist, but THIS.

*snorts* IMS and my brother is the "OMG MY FEELINGS." type of male where's I...don't really get it.

Men are just as bad as women.

If we are going to have any sort of chest hair we might as well finally get our Varric-mance on!

Varric romances for ME3, damn the logic!

But...but...you live like slobs...just saying...lol!

Have you seen a gay man's house?

LOL

In all seriousness, I'm a total slob.

Y

I want him to be ridiculously manly and make little straight boy Shepard feel inadequate.

But Zaeed already was in ME2.

1. Chest Hair
2. Chest Stubble

Hmm, that depends. Are we talking about Krogans, humans, or just Tali?

Yes, it'll def. be interesting to watch. I'd really like people to be aware that you are dating X person or whatever. I think that "cheating" will have a negative impact in the sense that besides forcing you to make a choice, it might be harder to continue the romance....or maybe both parties will be like "let's take it slow" after they discover you were cheating.

I think it would be very interesting if the other crew members commented on Shepard's relationship.  It would be enlightening to hear who's happy for them, who's jealous, who thinks the relationship is wrong, who's angry that Shepard cheated, etc.

I'm afraid for Joseph Shepard...cheating on Jack....not good. :pinched:

I think at this point having the thread locked wouldn't be a bad thing. The pointless bickering is getting out of hand. Even those of you who I know are reasonable and nice people are involving yourselves in this. Please, just leave the real world opinions out of it. Let's concentrate on how we can foresee enjoying ME3 more instead.

Considering that we did actually get agreements on a better worded dialog wheel, possible coloured text highlights and that the writing be handled well whatever the final call is, that's been it for about coming up with concrete ideas for implimentation.

In the limited sane moments between the off-topic mayhem, we've concluded that most will be okay with same sex romances if there is no chance of ninjamancing. Also, the option of having colour coded dialogue is fairly well accepted as well. Dialogue definitely needs to be clear, yep.

People seem fairly split on whether same sex romances should be limited to new characters or not. Although there has been no outright demands for existing characters to become availble but there are requests for it. I think we're also in agreement that the entire cast should not be bisexual.

From what I've seen, that's all that's been agreed upon.

This. I don't want them hitting on me unless I've hit on them. That makes it for no anders moment or romancing them on accident. It also keeps them acting the way they have always acted, and keeps my viewpoint of the character in tact.

So, should he more a Zangief or a Mike Haggar?

But everyone agrees the Vega guy should end up wrestling bears?

Yes. Also, it'd be cool if we could go to our best friend for advice, like Garrus or Tali, and they'd be like "Shepard, I agree with Liara on this one, how could you do that to her?" LOL

....and I want my straight/gay/bi romance to reside in my quarters permanently.

.....and smooth Vega, none of that creepy chest hair people.

Has Bioware indicated if the Kelly "romance" will be recongized in ME3? I'm curious to see what happens when frustrated VS lovers who allowed themselves a fling are forced to face the consequences of their actions. Of course, I get the feeling that Kelly isn't one for monogamy anyway.

Me neither.

I think its more of a person thing than gender thing. It's just more encouraged in males (in my neighborhood at least) not to be touchy feely.

Because that is offensive. You don't have to choose the s/s romance options.

Yeah sure... everything is offensive... You don't need the s/s romance options either I think.

So you're against freedom of choice? You want to deny people the option to do something because you think it's wrong? If the game ships with s/s then you're not being prevented from doing anything. The opposite is not true.

I can see the elevator rides now...

*silence*
Tali: Cheater says what?
Shepard: What?
Tali: That's right...
Shepard: Damnit Tali!

And yeah, LI being in the Captain's Quarters (or available to go to the Captain's Quarters at a moment's notice) would be nice.

It's weird though. I don't have anything against BW including same sex romance as long as it's a new character but I find the thought of them changing old characters for that a bit... meeh. And now for those of you saying "Just because they haven't mentioned it doesn't mean they're not"... well just because they haven't mentioned it doesn't mean they are.

And here's another thing. Why should I, who plays as a straight Shepard who will not ever swing that way, even have to see the option to start a same sex romance? I mean my Shepard's not like that so why should it even be a dialogue option for me?

I concur.  I always play a straight female Shepard and I didn't like the fact that I have to go out of my way avoid a romance with Liara in ME1.  And I didn't like the fact that some characters assumed that my female Shepard is into other women whenever she does something.

I don't care that Bioware decided to have s/s relationships available, but there should be option to have those dialogue options removed.

The way I see it Bioware has four options available ranked in order of personal preference

1. Add new bisexual/homosexual love interests to the game but leave older characters unchanged (most preferable)
2. Change some older characters in addition to adding new bisexual/homosexual love interests, but add flag or setting allowing older characters to remain unchanged but leaving newer characters romance enabled.
3. Same as option 2 except also disabling new character romances/changing them to straight
4. Add new bisexual/homosexual love interests to the game and alter some or all existing characters (least preferable)

Don't get me started on some Spanish cultures. I've had friends whose fathers who were angry that their sons hadn't lost their virginity yet....at like 8 years old.

Bears are sexy....but at a distance....like the distance from my tv to the bed or....off topic.

Anyways, I prefer my girls and boys w/o weird chest hair, so I'm gonna go ahead and say NO to C.H on Vega.

And I was hoping he'd look like Jack Black or something.....

Eddie Riggs for ME3!

Nah, that's more of a national attitude of "Crying in public makes you a **** manlady." But I personally just don't like crying in public, even though the idea that crying=wimp makes no logical sense and does more harm than good.
