Oh come on, we both know you're gonna replay both games again before ME3 comes out...  You'll have time to 'correct' your mistakes.

Good summary. I agree that's the statu quo right now.

If the lines are clear enough, then color coded dialogue strikes me as directed to people who can't read. Could pass as an additional "necessary precaution", anyhow. Okaaaay.

@PlumPaul82393, we all agree that ninjamances are bad.

Think of those of us who are playing the game drunk and are having trouble reading coherently and will need that colour coded help.

Tali: Cheater says what?
Shepard: What?
Tali: That's right...
Shepard: Damnit Tali!

And yeah, LI being in the Captain's Quarters (or available to go to the Captain's Quarters at a moment's notice) would be nice.

More LI interaction in general...little stuff and just generally them caring more than others, like in DA2.
Probably my favorite moment in a Bioware game is the end of the All That Remains quest (I think that was the name) and Merrill showing up to comfort my Linara...nearly cried.
And yes, I'm manly enough to admit that.

Has Bioware indicated if the Kelly "romance" will be recongized in ME3? I'm curious to see what happens when frustrated VS lovers who allowed themselves a fling are forced to face the consequences of their actions. Of course, I get the feeling that Kelly isn't one for monogamy anyway.

To Bioware:
Fully developed Kelly romance, please, k, thanx.

Yeah, Shepherd should initiate the romance via flirting. No ninjamances please.

I'm against ninjamances but I am NOT against NPC's flirting or making an initial move if it makes sense for the NPC.  This applies to gay, straight or other flirtations.

Nah, TIM's daughter! She gets back at xenophobe daddy by having sex with every man, woman, and/or alien she sees.

Well it wouldn't make much since for a male companion to hit on shepard if he's romanced multiple women over the ME saga.

I'd be glad to see fully-developed Kelly as the "new" f/f romance option. I like her.

I'm all for that too. Except, a lot of men couldn't handle being hit on by a guy, apparently.  What I am against, however, is my PC flirting without my permission. Yes, FemShep, I'm looking at you!

In the limited sane moments between the off-topic mayhem, we've concluded that most will be okay with same sex romances if there is no chance of ninjamancing. Also, the option of having colour coded dialogue is fairly well accepted as well. Dialogue definitely needs to be clear, yep.

People seem fairly split on whether same sex romances should be limited to new characters or not. Although there has been no outright demands for existing characters to become availble but there are requests for it. I think we're also in agreement that the entire cast should not be bisexual.

From what I've seen, that's all that's been agreed upon.

This. I don't want them hitting on me unless I've hit on them. That makes it for no anders moment or romancing them on accident. It also keeps them acting the way they have always acted, and keeps my viewpoint of the character in tact.

This thread has been saying that for a long time, actually. For more than a hundred pages. But people keep coming into the thread without reading it and just assume that us who support S/S are demanding a harem or something. Not saying you said that exactly (I can't remember anyhow) and I get that almost 200 pages is intimidating (I'm OCD about reading a thread before responding, but even I wouldn't touch that).

It's a shame none of us can edit the OP and put this in in it so we don't have to repeat it as much (though I imagine we still will): Not asking to make every team member bi, not asking for ninjamance or ninjasex (because we hate it too...everybody remember the consort?), and though we don't think it would be the end of the world if a previous character was bisexual, a new gay character or two is fine with most people here. Might be a little understandably sad if the people we got attatched to throughough Mass Effect are unreachable, but I think everyone realizes that happens sometimes and can accept it.

EDIT: FIxed quote issue

While that is true, replaying the game won't help me know if I'll be punished in ME3 until it comes out. No doubt the first thing I'll do after I 100% ME3 (on which ever playthrough I manage) I'll start right from the beginning, knowing exactly which choices to make.

It can make fine sense, but that is irrelevant. You wouldn't like being hit on by any guy, there's no reason to redress it.

It's MY personal belief that the REAL reason so many people hate Jacob is that Hale makes it sound like Shepard is in heat during their first conversation on the Normandy.

Depends on the NPC.  Zevran or Isabela for example wouldn't care.  Kelly probably wouldn't, if Jack decided she was interested I doubt she'd care and just go for what she wanted. Who knows about unknown NPC's.

And we've been over the whole romanced women doesn't mean someone is straight thing no matter how many times you refuse to ignore it.

That said yes it would make it less likely and if it could be coded easily into the game with a minimal zot expenditure I wouldn't mind if they did.

That's one of the reasons, I dare say. I didn't like talking to him because of that reason and, subsequently, I didn't get to know him as a character at all well. It's a shame because it wasn't his fault. It was whoever's choice it was to direct Hale to talk like that. *glares at that unknown person*

If the NPC didn't know about the other romances or didn't care.
