This would be great.

On an unrelated note, I'm still worried that femKrogan and femTurians won't exist (Salarians too, but there's no reason why we haven't seen a single Turian female, considering how ubiquitous they are).

I'm of the opinion that if someone can show me where in ME1 or ME2 Garrus/Tali/Kaidan/Ashley's sexual orientation is stated, then I'll agree that having those characters have any other orientation in ME3 would be defined as a retcon. Otherwise, it is just a case of the writers furthering their personal story so that certain things about themselves are not revealed till ME3.

And...No. Kaidan having been in love with some girl before ME1 is not "proof" that he is straight. There'd be nothing wrong with assuming that he is, actually it'd be a pretty logical assumption. This, however, does not mean that it is a fact.

The way ME1 played out leads to the assumption that Ash is for male sheps and Kaiden is for femsheps. Eden Prime with the beacon exploding for example.
It's not specifically stated, but everyone is led to believe that both are straight. Hence it would be a minor retcon for these characters methinks.

I don't think it would be for ME2 LIs though.

Eromenos wrote..."Worrying about changing the character" here is just a popular euphemism for old-fashioned homophobia. If the characters are allowed to become bisexual, then they're instantly trash in your view. No good. Filth. Someone else's toy. Everyone else's toy.

i.e., they would no longer be specifically tailored for just your type, and such a lack of exclusivity/segregation undermines you to the point where everytime you look on some long-beloved pixels, it's as if the world's gone to hell.

It would be simpler if you faced up to the fact that much of the time your beloved in ME/DA/KOTOR/JE already happens to be many other people's toys at the same time that they're with you. Oh, but the majority of those interactions are str8 interactions. Easier for you to tolerate! The toy is playing by the rules. Yet if they become open to S/S, then the competition will have heated up faster than you would've allowed. The game definitely has changed.

I like you for helpfully pointing out this feeding frenzy inspired by the S/S development in ME3. This here is something actually worth doing instead of the stereotypical recycled crap in most people's "games."

So assuming that there is a new female character who will become bisexual LI...what do we want from her?

TBH I'm not sure what I'd like to see that isn't really already covered in some way but the other female characters. Miranda is the femme fatale, Ashley is the grunt bff, Tali is the engineer with a schoolgirl crush, Jack is the crazy ****....anything else seems like it would have to overlap in someone territory.

So that means you'll still whine if not every character listed is made gay. Okay got it.

Man, you are losing it. Makenzie is just giving some examples.Chill.

Just out of curiosity—I'm asking all the opposition—can I put you down as "not buying ME3 because of m/m content" or "buying ME3 in spite of m/m content"? I just want to get a sense of how many people are actually going to pass on the game altogether, rather than simply dislike an aspect of it.

And I thought the thread residents were the only ones blamed for putting words in other's mouths.

I can't do the exact same? That seems to be what every person here does, so why not just join in.

What? Having a "strong and deep issue" with male to male romance, which doesn't even have to be taken part of, just the content sitting in the game making a person not buy it, is not homophobia?

She, but it's cool. I get that a lot.

If
you want to claim we're being bad, doing exactly what you think we
are doing would make you a total hypocritce, for the record.

I'm hoping Bioware will give us at least one example each, just to sate curiosity, and there has been threads about it.

I think that since we'll most likely get to visit the Turan and Salarian planets, there's a  chance of seeing Femturians and femsalarians there. I mean, the reapers are coming, we'll need all the help we can get. I have high hopes.:)

It'll give their other games the gay,  I know it can happen.  I had Dragon Age 2 sitting next Xenosaga 3 and Jin and Ziggy started well you know.

Dude, where is your name mentioned there? I see ExtremeOne's name...or are you defending Extreme? I don't get it, Extreme (in case you haven't noticed) can defend him/herself well enough.

The person refuses to buy the game because of male homosexual content he doesn't have to pursue! What the hell is that, if not homophobia?

It's just assumptions though.  There are some MaleSheps who didn't romance Ash in ME1 and FemSheps who didn't go for Kaidan.  Choices, choices everywhere!

Also, don't let this turn into another slingfest.  Just report the trolls and keep on topic.

I've always expected FemKrogans and FemTurians to look pretty much just like the Male versions, just a bit smaller and in the turians' case, less muscle. FemSalarians, I bet look 100% the same. :bandit:
