Personally, I think it's more plausible for a woman to be bi than a man.

That's because a homosexual man has to actually enjoy getting penetrated.

I was never penetrated myself, but I assume it is not pleasant unless you're into that.

Girl on girl sex is mostly caressing and stuff, which is not potentially painful and something that everbody can enjoy.

Which is why I think that making one of the male LI from the past games become bi is far-fetched, since they never demonstrated any homosexual tendencies in the past, and homosexuality is not something that you simply develop out of nowhere, as science has proven.

Most characters are close to or past 30; if they're not gay by then, they won't be gay ever.

A gay male has to be an original character, IMO.

The More You Know:wizard:

I hope you're joking. As to your remarks about being penetrated and whatnot—don't knock it 'til you've tried it, I would say. It's sad when you boys don't know where your own G-spot is...

And please don't say things like "science has proven" without citing anything. I can say that science has proven that the sun revolves around the Earth—conveniently omitting the fact that it was later disproven.

^ Lol this. Silly men, learn about your bodies.

Jacob says in one of the dialogues with him that he and Miranda once got "really close, but then it got really far apart".

I believe they get together in the iPhone game, too. I never played it, so I'm not sure.

I'm one of the "may not buy ME3 (and haven't bothered with DA2 in part...) because of the gay" members, and I have no idea how he concluded that "women are beautiful; men are not".  I think we look pretty awesome when we're all trained up.  No desire to rub up against other guys, though.  I can only assume he can't abstract aesthetics away from sexual attraction.

Well, hopefully you'll wait to finalize your purchasing decision until after there is more information, at least. We've got two members petulantly boycotting the game on the basis of a tweet from Casey Hudson, and I'm sorry, that's just silly to me.

So this brings the boycotting tally to 2 or 3? Pretty significant difference there...BioWare is probably keeping track....B)

Well, it is a 150% increase, just like that.  Really, though, if the game keeps it out of my face, I'm fine.  I'm one of those who likes the idea of setting the PC's sexuality at the beginning.  I know, I know--this pretty much makes me a war criminal, but I'm not going to spend my time and money on something that I don't find entertaining.

I wasn't really thinking of a boycott so much as not buying a game if it doesn't appeal to me.  I suppose I could get a letter-writing campaign fired up, though, if you think it's important enough.  I'd go after EA instead of Bioware, though.  They seem to be sort of detached from the actual work of their subsidiaries, and an overall EA boycott would be much more damaging than a campaign against the Bioware games.

But, really, I'm just hoping for a sequel with well-firewalled gayness (if gayness is an inevitability).

You're your best firewall , that's a fact. The games do not force this on you. I guess you insulate yourself from much of society as well?

Whether or not they considered it for ME1 and ME2 is moot because ultimately they did not include it so it couldn't have been their policy at that time.

EDIT: that was mean of me, sorry.

Anyway, I'll try to lay it out one more time then I'm off to the gym.

Bioware desides at some point to include s/s options to the romance subplots of the games.
As each game comes along, they dicede to include it or not.
KOTOR, no.
Jade Empire, yes.
Mass Effect, no.
DA:O, yes.
ME2, no.
DA2, yes.
ME3, yes.
SWOR, can you even romance NPCs in that ?

Obviously I know no more than you do as we are not Bioware staff, but from my point of view, and working in software development being exposed to cut features all the time, I can easily seeing this as a case by case call.

Oh you forget in the Star Wars games they have to get things cleared by Lucas Arts .

Th person got KotOR wrong.

Juhani was a lesbian in KotOR. I guess that cleared it LA.

Yes, they should also add f/f for both ME1 and ME2 (kelly + LOTSB and initial Illium kiss) so YES for ME1 and ME2, just not m/m.

....BioWare is pretty amazing, same-sex content in all those games! Makes arguing against s/s content in one of their games pretty silly ehh?

Well he does troll FemShep related threads any chance he can get, it wouldn't be far fetched to say he's doing it to us too.  If I'm not mistaken, he was saying mostly facepalm worthy things back in the FFTL thread and was given a warning by Javier.

Yes, but the other LI won't know if Shepard is passive or active, and the same goes for Shepard.
It could be like:
ManShep: OK, let's have sex. Turn around.
Garrus: Hey, hey, hey! Wait a minute, buddy! I'm strictly on the giving end!
ManShep: What? But I want to give, too.
Garrus: No way.
ManShep: **** you, then.

Garrus: Fine. See you later.

Yeah, every now and then I just reeeeeeally want to know how old a person posting here is...

I have said that I doubt some of these guys are old enough to buy an M rated game...since I see the responses that involve "well MY community" and "MY friends"...what you never been out of your own community or never had an intelligent conversation with someone who isn't your friend?

All BioWare games have s/s romances...(Those that do have any romances in them anyway.) All except ME. Well, m/m anyway. Now that ME has all the time in the world (sort of), I'm glad they're actually implementing it. :) (Instead of scratching it out like in ME1/2...because of "time constaints".)

Anyone feel free to correct me since I'm not 100% on this, but wasn't a mod required to unlock the Juhani/femRevan thing since it wasn't finished like the Ash/Kaidan stuff?

Only reason I'm stating this is Lucas *does* have some very strong issues regarding human/alien couples, essentially calling them bestiality.  Back when I was more into the Star Wars fandom, that was often brought up in the fanfic forums on theforce.net since fics did have to conform to Lucas's rules.  And there was also that one author of some of the EU books who if memory serves was having Wedge hooking up with some chick with feathers and Lucas put his foot down on that so hard the author wasn't allowed to write for the EU anymore.

Granted I've been away from the SW fandom for quite a few years so memory's potentially spotty.

Sex is fun, especially if you know what you're doing. Even better if the one you're with knows what she's doing. And you'll be surprised how many things you once NEVER considered doing are a hell of a lot of fun once the one you love does them to you.

No, not bi, the character was scripted to be lesbian, that's a fact and was corrected, scroll down to Romance section:

From Wookiepedia:

"Juhani is the first female character written for the Star Wars universe
that is a lesbian. An error in the first release of the video game
allowed player-characters of both male and female genders to access the
Juhani romance sub-plot, leading some people to believe that Juhani was
bisexual, but the error has since been corrected and the romance
sub-plot restricted to female player-characters. "

I will give ExtremeOne this, at least it's possible to reason with him even if it does end up taking a few walls of text compared to the others of the intensely pro-Cerberus crowd.  I know I managed it once, and yes it was like climbing Mt.
