The issue is coming from a purely meta-perspective, where it's impossible to not see these aliens as 'human'.

I know that mine was certainly a lucky shot. I use fraps and was doing a screen capture spam. I looked through them later, saw the image and let out a little "squee"

THIS is why I was advocating against jumping the gun and attacking him on the basis of his initial tweet. We're so used to Neanderthals throwing around the "asari aren't female" fail logic that we lose sight of the fact that someone could say the exact same thing without any sort of negative agenda.
