OOOH! An idea! the person who you cheated on ends up dying because he or she gets killed in a fight against the reapers. Kind of like a Virmire survivor thing -- however, if you decide to get back w/ your original LI then the scorned lover should end up dying instead. Of course this should only happen if you cheated on your romance.
This I'd have no problem with. There could be great drama in some playthroughs, while also getting a perfect happy end in another. I'd be in favor of this.
So, Shepard's lover should die for his/her infidelity? Wow. Like, wow. Hopefully Swartzenager [spelling?] doesn't go this route.
People already died in ME2 for such simple things as saying "okay Miranda, back down".
And it's Schwarzenegger.

My girlfriend wants me to chime in that she want's female Shepard's and Liara's baby to look exactly like a female Shepard done Asari style in an ending scene that take place a hundred years after ME3 as she takes her Specter oath. Please agree with me that you don't think this will happen and it's a silly idea. Really. I'm on thin ice over here.

Agreed, I also think they should add a new female companion other than Liara who is bi.
I would like a new female companion to be bi also. My femshep romanced Liara in ME1. I do not like at all the person Liara changed into in ME2. My Femshep has zero interest in any male romances and will be very lonely during ME3 without a new female LI.
New female bi LI please for ME3.<3
Oh...how much I so want Kasumi to be an LI option in ME3...and hoping she is bi, my manShep has been crazy in love since he met her and I know there are a few femShep's out there also REALLY hoping for Kasumi....and personally I think given her personality most people would accept her in a bi role quite well, it wouldn't seem contrived or retconned.
The real question is, would she be able to take her eyes off the price?
Yes...

Kaiden had a Gay LI route in ME but Bioware decided to cut it. I agree that Miranda and Ash dont fit the bill in terms of an s/s route. You can tell that they only like guys.Golden Owl wrote...

She doesn't get weirded out, she just gets very nervous and it's absolutely adorable. There's far more signs of her hinting towards going s/s than there is with Kasumi. Kasumi is just an all around loving character.I'm pretty sure Tali is straight. She kinda gets weirded out when Fem Shep hits on her in ME2. I don't think bioware would be doing justice to her character if they suddenly turned her bi.
Now Kasumi on the other hand could be bi because we don't know that much about her backstory. Same thing with Kaiden and Jack.
I could actually see Tali as bi also...just going by the feel of the character here, how they come across, I can see Tali, Kasumi and Jack as bi (though Jack states she isn't, doesn't she?)...though not Miranda or Ash, I just don't feel it with those two. As for the males, I don't feel Kaiden or Thane would feel contrived.
Am playing through a femShep for my hubby at the moment (Vanguard in ME2 caught hubbies interest, he's not an ME fan otherwise)...I'm a manShep girl and am missing him terribly right now...Just noting though, Kaiden's a real sweetheart with femShep, kinda glad I got to experience that....has given me a new take on Kaiden....never disliked him, just never really thought about him.

I have a personal theory that Miranda does and likes whatever TIM orders her to through the control chip he installed in her brain. The "I quit" scene was honest, but TIM is just biding his time...

lolwoot?
femshep has exactly the smae number of same sex romance lines cut from Ash as maleshep had for Kaidan. your reasoning holds no water whatsovere, becasue you seem to be going based on stereotypes alone.
as for same sex dialog in ME1 - neither Ash nor Kaidan recorded any. its just not there. it was only maleshep and femshep and only couple of phrases from ONE conversation. heck - they recorded Mark Meer saying to this to Liara.
whatever happened with ME1 same sex relationships, its pretty obvious to me at least that they never managed to finish writing them in. which doesn't preclude them from adding those in for ME3.. but for anyone, not just select few that you think fit the stereotypes.
and I'm goddamn freaking TIRED of people not batting an eye on this sorto of stereotuyping, merely becasue eople who do it seem to suppor same sex relationship with a favored character.
what's good for the goose is good for a freaking gander.

That's the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Bioware cut it because it didn't work for Kaidan just like it didn't work for Ashley. Because Kaidan is sensitive, he's gay. Now that is a stereotype. Guess my hubby is a closet gay because he's very sensitive. BTW, you can tell that Kaidan only likes women (actually Shepard). Because he doesn't take sex and relationships lightly, he's gay. No, I think not. I think Kaidan is the type of guy that every man, gay or straight, should try to emulate.

But your going to say that about any of the previous characters taking up the gay or bi mantle in ME3....it doesn't matter who they are to you.

First of all, thanks Bioware for this decision! I haven't actually read the whole thread, due to its size and (likely) useless discussions, so sorry if my following thoughts were already discussed ad nauseam:
- I don't think old squad companions would need to be retconned to be "turned" bi, but I wouldnt mind if the bi LIs are new companions, for the sake of people's own established conceptions. And maybe add old non-squad LIs, like Joker. (please?
- Be careful how you implement same-sex relationships for the story's sake. I think having all LIs suddenly bi, like in DA2, would be immersion breaking, even if that's the "easy" way to appease everybody.
- Ninjamacing sucks.

"Come by again later, I'm sure we'll have more to talk about!" She talks to Shep about everything, like friends should. Hey loyalty quest really made me feel like they're close friends, too. I would like for her to be a LI option, for s/s too, but I won't be dissapointed if it doesn't happen. I hope she's there for a big part of ME3, regardless. Tali on the other hand...MAKE IT HAPPEN BIOWARE.
I wouild love for Kasumi to be along for the ME3 ride as well and you described her very nicely too
Tali is going to happen and has been confirmed, unless I am miusunderstanding your exclamation. Tali is a must for me as well, though Liara is the most important companion to me. She had my heart and soul the first time I met her in ME.
