That was my femshep with Jack ... I didn't want her but when the conversation went to her "rejection" Posted Image .... it's the chase ... Jack's "Crazy" scares the Shep, but now my Shep wants! Posted Image

My Shep thought the same thing. "But...but...but I never asked! And now I want! The hell..I'm so confused! "

"Jack? Jack is that you? I knew you were stalking me, Subject Zero. I said I would chase you, you chasing me is freakin' me out!" Posted Image
OK, let's hope that Jack stays out of the girls club. Morinth already sent my femshep running and hiding behind Samara. Posted Image

Probably for the best. It would be a pretty weird relationship.

"Get your butt over here!"

"What the hell? You trying to get in my pants? No thanks.

"I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to catwoman over there!"

"Are you ****** serious?"

"No. Yes. Maybe. Figure it out for yourself."

What reboot?

Only game mechanics are rebooted since previous one sucked.

Eh Shepard being booted out the alliance (as in completely cut off from Hackett and co), being stripped away from all his resources, being estranged from nearly all of his old contacts, forced to work with the new and improved Cerberus.

It did feel a bit like a reboot.

This ME1 fan's opinion says that your opinion is silly.  I loved ME1, and I loved ME2 even more.  In fact, I view them as essential parts to one another, pieces of a greater whole.

So there.

SO you're a deaf nug?

Well he/she was in Alliance for like an hour and then become a Spectre. Not a big loss.

I edited that after you quoted it.

It's mostly working with Cerberus, being completely cut off from your old allies (with 3 exceptions and one of those kind of waves you off), the whole dying and being brought to life thing and yeah...it felt like a reboot to me. I'm aware its one of those YMMV but ME2 doesn't feel connected to ME1 very well to me.

Well said! It just does not feel like a proper contniuation of an epic "trilogy". It's a fine game on it's own, but as a sequal and compared to teh first game, it fails.

Well that's because you are in Terminus System's 95% of the game while in ME1 98% in Council Space.

Bioware has taken a giant step foward in terms of relationships in me3 and will most likely set a standard(again)for games in the future

It's not just that. If it was simple as being in another area DAA would feel disconnected from DAO to me. It doesn't.

My point is that there can be depth and connection between two characters without it resorting to shagging, and therefore I think that shagging be limited to only one gender for some characters (because contrast between sexual orientations provides character diversity), and not an option at all for others (because y'all know the best companions aren't LIs, anyway: Mordin, Varric, Wrex, etc).

Izzy is better then Varric :P

I like them both.

Only thing that worries me with all this was in DA2 when I showed concern for Anders or whatever, it kinda translated it into a I was interested in him. ME2 didn't feel like it did that for me. It came across as being concern. Hoping it doesn't turn out in ME3 like DA2.

Suddenly making all old characters bi is equally cheap.  Every character should be unique, and if all LIs are bi, the lines between begin to blur.

I guess I just put more stock in a character's development outside of 'who do they want to sleep with'.

AdmiralCheez wrote...
It stops being "likes a certain kind of woman/man/person" and starts being "likes Shepard."  Choice in Shepard's gender matters less, and customization seems hollow.

That makes no sense, sorry.  It's as if you are saying bisexual = Shepardsexual and they must have tunnel vision when it comes to love.

Also, choice in Shepard's gender all ready matters squat.   People still have preferences though for one of the other, but that's not based on anything that happens in game.

AdmiralCheez wrote...
I would totally support an exclusive m/m or f/f option for that reason.  However, I am not against a couple bi options-those would be great fun.  But everyone?  Really?  Aren't Shepard's powers of charmidation potent enough already?

There's two different ways to look at it...looking meta and at all the possible romances Shepard can do, you can say, "Oh look, Shepard is such a charmer...look at all the peeps he/she can possibly bed" and if you want to RP the galaxy's biggest bachelor/bachelorette and bed all of them in on PT then that's fine.  I don't see it that way...in game, the LIs I don't pursue just are never interested in Shepard...only the ones I do actually pursue are interested.  The entire game plays like this to an extent...there are many alternate possibilites with Shepard and most of them I don't pursue and will never pursue, like killing Shiala.  Just b/c it's a possible option doesn't mean my Shepard is a douche for it being an option, even if I don' t take it.

AdmiralCheez wrote...
And why the hell would they clone old characters?

That was just a counter argument.

Whoa what's all the Me1 vs Me2 arguing? I thought this was about Me3? To be on topic I'll say I can't wait to see who'llbe available for same sex romance (hopes they are his favorite LI's)

I felt the other way. I showed concern for Miri once and BAM romance. It was like

It was pretty much romance or gtfo in ME2, where with DA2, you did not have to romance a character to show care for them or understand them better.

Can aliens really be considered "bi" when it comes to other species?

Anyways, I can see Tali warming up to femshep over the course of the trilogy and it fitting in to the story just fine.

Garrus and manshep not so much really at all.

Kasumi could be a switch hitter.

We know Jack has scissored in the past but seems to enjoy meatier treats.

I don't view asari as being "bi", I see them as "omnisexual". So Liara, Samara or whoever don't really apply here.

Ashley. I dunno, I think it'd b cool if she were straight.

Miranda I'm on the fence about, depends on the writing.

Jacob is dead.

Thane could be an equal opportunity player.

Wrex, Grunt, Mordin and Legion are like "Hell no. No romance thanks."

It'd be hilarious if Zaeed was really kicked out of the Blue Suns because he was gay. All things considered, I'm pretty sure his character is straight.

Dr.Chakwas would make a great lesbian character. Not necessarily romance-able.

EDI is the intercom.

Your hamster is yours to do whatever you want with it. Please think of poor Lemmiwinks before sending him on the greatest adventure.

No intel on the new peeps yet.

Either way, it is progress from Kotor. All in all though, I think the DA2 system worked better because, Anders aside, you had to use the <3 option to get them to show interest in you and there are more ways to shut down a romance than in ME.

NO NINJAMANCES, BIOWARE. PLEASE. I got this far, I want the romance to be consensual!

I just told you. The death of Shepard, the isolation from a lot of his crew, the destruction of the old normandy, working with Cerberus, how the council pretty much ignored you, and so on.

I think the only thing about ME2's plot that bothered me was the Council ignoring Shepard so absolutely. Everything else was gravy.
