Yeah, they took it out.  There is no in-game, factual evidence that Shepard (male) is anything but a heterosexual male.  Has he had the opportunity to (and in many playthroughs for people, experience) a love affair/flirting with several different women: Ash, Liara, Shi'ira, Miranda, Jack, Kelly, Shiila, Parasini (could be missing some).  Does he ever even flirt with a guy?  I must have missed it in all of my playthroughs.  You would think, wouldn't you, that if Bioware had ever intended to truly make Shepard possibly bi/gay that they would have at least hinted at it in the first two games?

"But my Shepard didn't romance any girl in the first two games, so there's a chance he's gay/bi!"  How am I supposed to argue against this kind of testimony?

You can't argue with that kind of testimony because it makes sense. If a dude is surrounded by hot blue alien chicks who literally mind-sex you "for the mission", a sporty and cute gunnery chief with a decidedly flirtatious demeanor, a smokin' hot ice queen with a nifty accent, a tattooed bad girl with a gorgeous face, and an ad'awwable quarian girl— and he's not even banging the freaky yeoman with Donald Trump hair—HE'S GAY. Hate to break it to you.

Considering that Shep can be paragon, renegade, male, or female, and Femshep can be lesbian, I don't see why this is considered so terrible to want the option (again, OPTION) for someone else's Manshep to be gay.

Besides which, it makes your Shepard all the straighter if he can actually choose to be gay but doesn't.

Condescending =/= Wanting them to come out () and say what they don't like about gay/bi MShep. You'll notice, again, that all he's said is he doesn't want it to happen. I want the why. Why? I can hazard a guess, but I couldn't know for sure unless I'm told. I don't make assumptions.

In yesterday's thread, I saw some people say something along the lines of:  "at no point does shepard say that he is straight.  Therefore, he can be gay/bi."  People were using the lack of "straight evidence" to make a conclusion about his sexuality.

But i digress.  It's clear in this thread I am outnumbered, and that's fine.  I've expressed my opinion, and you all have yours.
