strange encounter issues

OK. I've built alot of mods with encounters but have recently run into a strange problem. My encounters are spawning the correct creatures but when they spawn they are black sillouettes, almost like they are hiding, they are immobile, cant really attack them, they are hostile but dont move to attack my character when tested...any ideas?

This sounds to  me like you might have some variables on your creature blueprints, perhaps. It's possible some combination of OnSpawn variables might result in this type of behavior.

Alternatively, maybe there's some script confusion in the OnAttacked (or OnPerception) event of these creatures.

Yeah, first thing I checked was script/variables cuz I have some statue scripts in the area but they don't have them assigned. I think it might be an issue with the triggers themselves. I hate nwn2 encounter handler...

If you're really banging your head against the wall, feel free to upload a copy of the module (scripts included) if it's not too giant yet to DropBox.

Also, if you need step-by-step trouble-shooting help with any NWN2 topic, checking out the NW IRC Channel could be really helpful.

Well, I made a couple revelations. First the encounter trigger works just fine if I copy/paste it to another area, secondly, if I change the spawned creature to anything but hostile it also works. So confused. Might just do a rebuild to area but its so pretty...and 16x16...

Ok, riddle me this...the area I'm having the trouble with uses the deep-caves tile set. After much hair pulling I changed a portion to regular caves tile and in THAT small section the spawn works fine!!! A tile set can bug encounters????
