 So, is it possible to have a friendship romance with Merrill + have him shatter the eluvian on Act 3 or make him to stop using blood magic? I've never rivalmanced her (She's so cute and adorable, I can't do that )  and I've just heard that if you rivalmance her she breaks the mirror at Act 3.

Eh, it doesn't really matter either way. Even if she destroys the mirror she still tries to fix up again in Act III, inevitably leading to her companion quest.

SO, if I don't give her the arulinholm ----> she gets mad to me ----> throws me out of her house---> when I go back she weeps ( ;___; ) about  the mirror blaa blaa blaa.. and then shatters the mirror?

I usually have 100% friendship with her at this part of the game so she cant defect to rival or get any  rivalry points if I'm remembering correctly?

BUT, does it change her attitude towards me and does she give up on blood magic etc. in after the "A New Path" companion quest?

Act 2 you can not give her the tool, and all your friendship will turn to rivalry.

Act 3 she will destroy the eluvion if you rival her.

Rivalling her is good for the +10 damage resistence. Don't use blood magic skill and she isn't a blood mage anymore except for cutscenes.

 I didn't get to see that cutscene where she did it on friendmance, is there even a cutscene for that in friendmance?

Just tested the Act 2 Mirror Image quest, didnt change her friendship to rivalry on the meter when I denied the arulinholm from her,but it did change the dialogue on the back from sundermount quest,nothing else.

Yeah, Merrill's locked into Friendship path if you've maxed it out.

Friendship she keeps up blood magic and keeps the Mirror (though its bugged and disappears, its meant to still be in her house).

Rivalry she gives up blood magic and smashes the Mirror.

Nah, the mirror just disappears because of a bug. If you're on the friend path she keeps the mirror regardless of what happens to her clan.

All rofling aside, I was asking a similar question the other day: I have Merrill at 100% friendship prior to mirror image because I was too nice to her. What I really want it to deny her the arulinhom, and try to talk her out of this whole blood magic demon cavorting thing rivalmance style. But with friendship locked I can't.

Anyone got a way through console, savegame editor or anything that will break the 100% friend lock? Please?
