ACT 1 Level 14
ACT 2 Level 21
ACT 3 Level 27
ACT 1 Level 14
ACT 2 Level 21

Hmm I don't know about that. I'm a rogue and I was level 6-7 at the end of act 1..
It does help a lot in regards to making nightmare play like casual though:
Level 8 Gauntlet

ROFL, your autoattacks stagger the rage demons. That's great. The game really does penalize you for being thorough. In Act 2 there is Heaven's Answer from Bonny Lem if you were looking for a bow, don't know about daggers. You may already be using it, I don't know what it looks like.

the amount of xp from completing an act is pretty ridiculous.
I just went up from level 9 to almost level 11..
but yeah, i must be doing something right, i'm into act 3 at level 10.

ROFL again. Can you please post another video if you can of Hybris using Jackals? Or the dragon using Absolution? I'd get a kick out of it.

haha here's the solo dragon run I uploaded yesterday:
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=-8E9-B4RoHY
I don't find watching archer gameplay that exciting but I would say that not having any fire resistance added a bit more of a challenge. And no I wasn't been masochistic, I simply forgot to get the fire warding recipe back in act 1! lol

Level 26 both times.
I wasn't paying attention to my level at the end of Act 1/2.

@thendcomes - ask and you shall receive. Here's the Awiergan Scrolls at level 11.
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=2hG5DUjC3OU
Skip to 2:38 if you want to see just the giraffe&co then hybris at 3:40.

edit: oh and i'm close to finishing the game at level 12 haha
unfortunately orsino gives a massive xp payload and I jumped up straight to level 14.
aaand i've finished the game. so to recap;
act 1 - level 7
act 2 - level 10
act 3 - level 14
Probably the easiest and fastest solo nightmare run i've ever done haha

Awesome. Thanks for that, that was ridiculous. Seems like you could do the entire game in just a few hours. Congratulations on breaking Dragon Age 2 haha. I feel like an idiot for trying max levels. Leveling any more than what is necessary simply increases the difficulty.
I wonder if Bioware intended the game to be completely cheesed by skipping all their extra content...

haah the game isn't broken. I mean, to be fair I did give myself extra gold and use cowardly tactics to avoid fights- without which it wouldn't be possible to get all the equipment while remaining at such a low level.
Basically, in order to minimise experience you need to avoid killing enemies if possible (not required by quest and/or trapped in room) and avoid things like resources and codexes. This simplest way to do this is to avoid quests- so in effect, I only did the main quests with a few sidequests to pick up equipment etc. So not so much skipping 'extra' content but just skipping content haha. This also meant that I only spent ~15hours to finish the game, a large proportion of which probably spent using gold exploits.... :/
Using those sneaky avoidance tactics was actually quite fun though.
Brings a quasi-realistic element to the gameplay; Instead of butchering thousands of enemies hawke runs like a little girl away from almost every fight hahaa.
Basically it consists of escaping in stealth to a position where there are no enemies (even their pointers) on the minimap which thus cancels combat. This can involve somewhat tedious pulling the enemies away from your exit, leaving a confusion or decoy to distract them while slipping away out of combat.
The best fights are the quest ones in which all you need to do is quickly assassinate one of the main enemies, loot his remains for the quest update then bail out of there. It's amazing how often you can just run past all the enemies, drop into stealth then carry on. For example, I didn't kill a single enemy for the lowtown section of the qunari invasion.
But altogether this means that the only class/build that can pull this off is the solo rogue (it's possible to have companion rogues along but a major pain to micro). (otherwise I'd be tempted to try out the other classes).
Ah well, unless I get really bored I think i'll take a break until the dlc. I'll see if I can stop class-hopping and finish off hellgate (just started playing it recently).

End of Act 1 + Legacy DLC finished and no mods/exp cheats/exp loop exploits that made some chars lvl 16 on end of act 1 before that dlc -> lvl 16 and 5541 xp towards 17 currently.

Okay I have to ask. In my current playthrough I'm pretty-sure I did every quest and defeated every enemy and unloced every lock bar the one chest in the escape from Lothering (was a mage), and I ended up at around 25 at the final boss. How do you get to 27?

Lol, Yup! Did both! I even got all 12 Enigma codexes this go through! Never have I been close to 27.
EDIT: I think I'm missing some XP in Acts 1 and 2. I always seem to finish A1 around 11-12, and A2 I always turn 20 after killing the last boss.

I have a mod that puts gear in the Dalish camp that improves XP, so I'm still in the beginnings of Act 2 and I'm already at lvl20+
Before that...I probably was at lvl14 going into act 2
