I'm fully convinced the fanatics who have been asking for gay LIs aren't interested in compromise whatsoever. "What about the people without internet access?" is a convinent excuse in this case.

...actually the percentage of people who do not have internet access is very high.
Retail stores still do very large trade, and indeed, the retail segment is still far larger than the download industry.
In fact, In the last three homes I've lived in, one has zero internet access capability and one has had sub par...these were city suburbs too.

Actually I would be pro this idea if I was getting anything out of it. (Like say all bisexual LIs) as it stands...why should I agree to this?

The irony in this post is fantastic.
I'm not surprised you misread my post you tali-loving-scum.
Heres a new solution: Make Jacob the only bi. No one even likes Jacob.

We have the following groups
A. Who want the game left alone
B. Who want access to s/s romances
C. Who wouldn't mind either way because they are mature enough to understand sexual dynamics
The OP is simply trying to offer a compromise that he feels will work for all parties. It may not work, but at least he's thinking and not yelling.

Excuse? I am currently surfing the Bioware boards using my phone. Thats the main source of my internet. The crappy Mifi thing can barely handle internet.
Besides pray tell, why NOT include gay LI's in the game? Why delegate it to DLC at all?
Oh I know! Liara should never have been an option for femshep in ME1. She should have been a free DLC as a *gift* to S/S crowd.

You haven't seen the various threads about this? Some people have a extreme view point of this and some have a lighter view point of it.

Sooo... Bioware should go to the trouble of making DLC to compensate for the inability of people to act in a mature manner and just accept that they don't have to choose a s/s romance if they don't want it.... they should make DLC just because a fringe group of simple minded individuals act like children and are afraid the "coodies" they might catch if they accidentally romance a character they didn't intend to?
Brilliant.... we pretend a segment of society just doesn't exist.
Tell you what... colored people make me uncomfortable. Their skin is a different color from mine.. that's not right, they're different... different is bad and scary. I demand Bioware remove all the colored people in ME3 or provide me with DLC that makes all humans caucasian like me.
I'm sure that sounds reasonable... yes?
How dare people not share the same moral, social, and cultural values towards gays as yourself? HOW DARE THEY? Their opinion is worthless right?
How dare they indeed. You act as if you hold the moral high ground when it is individuals like you who would demand that a game developer deny the very existance or presence of a segment of human society within their game.
Let's get rid of Anderson.. or paint him white... there's plenty of people who don't like black people, right? Let's demand Bioware remove all the blacks, asians and other non-whites from the game.
^ That's how stupid this whole argument is... that's how unjust it is.
I'll never fathom the fear and vitriol segments of our society have towards homosexuals... it doesn't impact our lives in any shape or form to acknowledge their existance and treat them fairly. It's so frustrating to witness such primitive thinking and behavior over such a non-issue.
Sigh.

Sure, I wouldn't download it and the content wouldn't be in my game. The Normandy could become a floating harem for all I would care at that point.

In this case - yeah, it is worthless. Opinions aren't made equal, and it's quite possible to just be wrong. If you're denying the equality or humanity of a person based on their sexual orientation (or gender, or gender identity, or race, or anything of the sort), you're wrong.

Ouch. In my actual home, i have trouble sometimes uploading an internet page (Sometimes it takes 5 mins to load a google search page) and the lag period can be random, but not too often.
Liara has no set gender, no matter what she looks like - i can deal with that much more comfortably.

Oh yeah. It's that simple, huh? People against your suggestions are just immature.
How about this Bearcut.
A. Turning straight character into gay ones disrupt the continuinty.
B. It was far too easy in DA2 to sleep with the same sex. it was like pay any compliment they want in your ass
C. If we are talking about "realistic" romances than this whole bi/homosexual thing shouldn't compose of our entire crew. At most 1 or 2 dudes.

Second wow. This idea is terrible, c'mon guys, noone wants an all bi cast. It's not gonna happen so stop worrying about that.
Afraid of the gayz? well sorry they exist so you're going to have to deal with them.

1. It's wrong to make people pay for an aspect of the game that others will have naturally.
2. They can simply make so if a gay/lesbian shepherd wants a s/s relationship, it is the player's responsibility to initiate and pursue it. IOW, the LI does not initiate, ever.

First of all, I wasn't implying any groups were "Immature".
Second of all, you debunked your own argument because we DONT KNOW who/what characters will be availiable for s/s romances.
Edit: I think im gonna get a Tali sig just to ****** people off.

Leave your insults at home and respond again when you can do so in a mature way.
The sad part is you don't realize how offensive your proposition in your OP is... you are asking if people should have the option whether or not to choose whether a certain element of human society is present or not in the game... it's no different than you asking for DLC that allows Asians, Blacks, Mexicans, Arabs etc in the game and makes all humans white unless you get the DLC.
