Hi guys, I got bored last night/today and thought I'd whip this up.  I've been playing around a lot with some 8-bit plugins (and having a blast!) so I thought it would be fun to eh, reinterpret my original Tali Combat 1 track in a more NES-like light.

This is sure to offend the ears and disgrace true chiptune artists everywhere ;) Enjoy!

Wow, this is awesome! I bike to work everyday and the more I listen to "Tali" from the ME2 OST, the more I realize it's one of my all-time favorite tracks from you guys.

Old-school gamer that I am, this just makes my day.

This is going to show up on ocremix, right? I mean, if anyone can put it on there it's you, all things considered.

This is getting my mental gears churning. I'm now envisioning a Mega Man level where you control Legion (fits the theme) and the boss fight at the end is Tali. Ah, my brain on music.

Heh, probably not. They don't really post chiptunes there. They have nothing against them, it's just not really their particular niche. :)

You know, that 8-bit cover is a hell of a lot better than the actual ME2 cover. All the fail is pixelated and hard to make out.

Ah, fair enough. It's been a while since I went there, admittedly. I need to re-download numerous old favorites of mine from back in the day. I remember some rocking Chrono Trigger remixes that kept me up to the task of mountains of homework back in middle school. =]

Agree. the pixelation takes away some of the suckage.

What ME2 "cover" are you referring to, exactly? Or are you referring to the in-game song? In which case I beg to differ; personally it's a top-three track from ME2.

I added it in after the initial post, I think he means the Album artwork.

Oh, thanks. I kept refreshing the bottom of the page so I never noticed the alteration.

At any rate, I... agree. Not a fan of the vanilla ME2 cover.

Under normal circumstances I'd warn against this sort of action, but... oh, who am I kidding, no I wouldn't.

That's pretty epic.

Now do one for "suicide mission" or "end run"
Grunt's theme is pretty good too.

Wow... Great work! After hearing it I actually had a flash...

Playing the famous 2d console game Mario Effect 2 with "Mario ™" Shepard...
I'm moving down a level to recruit Tali... Suddently the area grows larger, "Mario" Shepard stops and a automated scene starts showing a colossus slowly crawling in from the right side of the screen...
A flash on the screen shows the words "BOSS FIGHT", as a deep mechanical voice says the same...
*music starts playing*

That would be epic, seriously epic... XD

I think it's brilliant!

(I'd like it better if you would include the finishing flourish, though. It really sells the original for me.)

You should do the ME1 theme. Liked this one, made me miss my NES.

Hmm, I might do that.  It's actually meant to be looped like the original as is. :)
