I don't think we'll see a mass exodus to FemShep. 80% of ME 2 players picked DudeShep and I doubt that even half of them are interested in romance.

CoD is popular, that does not mean it's good or better.

Also there is hardly any context with those stats so they are worthless until BW gives proper context.

I never said better, only more popular. Besides, it a preference - how is Femshep better than Manshep and vice-versa? 

Plus, 80% is a very large number; even if the statisitics are wrong, 80% vs 20% is very telling in my opinion.

That only means 20% only play Femshep and more have played maleshep at least once(including me) That does not mean they prefer maleshep, that means they played maleshep.

Also not everyone turned that function on, that's why I don't really think the stats are good to go on, either is this site mind you. We will never know who is more popular, who is better ect, all we know is more people played maleshep.

The LI scenes aren't even that revealing. I don't see why anyone would play a lesbian over just who they are, since this is supposed to be your Shepard, since if you want to see lesbians than I'mm sure there are sites for that.

Tis cool. To be honest, I didn't play female Shepard for a long time until my girlfriend insisted. She kept telling me that Hale's VA was SO much better than Meer's VA. While I don't think Meer did a bad job, his VA was at his best when Shepard was all business, but Hale did a far better job in scenes to conveyed extreme emotions, and her big speeches were better. Since ME was mostly business, the differences weren't as striking as they were in ME2, when Hale was really allowed to shine in the romance scenes and Meer seem... awkward.

Still, 20 vs 80. Very, very large gap there. I would understand if it was 50 vs 40, but the number of Maleshep's more than quadruple the number of Femshep's. 

If that isn't an indication of popularity, then I don't know what is. 

Besides, your argument of "I could have played a male Shepard once, but female multiple times" rings true for an opposite scenario.

I try to do so with all my RPGs, but I don't like to metagame. I prefer to say good-male-race or bad-male-race or nuetral-female-race and then play accordingly, but I rarely finish the ones that aren't based on me or the people I know.

If Ash and Miri are indeed, yes. I prefer Hale and I see no point for my maleshep, now if Kai Kai is also bi then I will romance him as a maleshep.
