You do that.

I'll play the game, while not letting such trivial things stop me from having fun.

Wow. It's like reading ReconTeam's comments on the matter, but with fewer and slightly less grammatically correct usage of words.

I will get my fun from playing EA's Battlefield 3. The content added to ME 3 while it may be optional  is something I do not like and find utterly disgusting .

You really like banging your drum don't you. Just once I wish you would write something positive, regardless of the option of s/s relationships I do not think you will ever enjoy the game.

This whole bisexual debate on the forums here is hilarious. I'm actually keeping my wife up to date on it, for a laugh, each day, and she loathes video games! Threads suggesting special colors on the dialogue wheel to help you from choosing a 'dangerous' dialogue option, an option to turn off s/s romances on the menu... rip roarin stuff.
I personally will keep playing as a male shep. Not too interested meself in playing as a female shep. Don't get me wrong, I thought about it, actually. That video on youtube of a renegade femshep had me in stitches for weeks, I was so tired of a paragon maleshep, and then when that woman's voice acting came into my life, I thought, my god, what am I missing? In the end, I didn't go for it, just because I thought the 3 romances (Tali, Jack, Miri) were so well written I didn't want to miss out on them. Then I couldn't even imagine myself going up to Garrus and hitting on him, even in a video game!
On another note, I just chatted to Mordin after the Suicide Run, and he proved ever so helpful with regards to my relationship with Miri. Anybody else ever done that? He commented that he could offer suggestions on creative uses of Mass Effect fields. Imagine that! So I actually did, the powers wheel available to you when you culminate a LI. Shep, the Vanguard, finds himself alone in his cabin and receives a special visit. So he pulls out his weapon, and applies an ammo power to it: incendiary ammo, to light the night on fire. Then it's toggle the helmet, toggle the clothes, and boom! Charge! This is a special charge though, one that finishes in a pelvic thrust instead of a shotgun blast. The LI would go wild. Bonus powers would come in handy, too- Dominate would take on a whole new meaning... suggestions?

Well, look at this. It's Extreme One being EXTREME once again. What would the BSN be without people like him. :D

goddammit ..billions of topics about LIs fills these forums everyday...this game needed an epic script not more LIs of any kind ...you ppl playing this game (a shooter game) for those 3 seconds of so-called "romance"...i'm just pissed cause i allmost feel that bioware will put to much work on something so unimportant (LIs) instead of the real soryline (it's the last entry it must be very well done) just because they read these forums filled with posts about retarded stupid LIs and they listen and want to give "fans" what they want.... MORE LIs !!!

Bioware made a mistake in doing fan service instead of creating a story for ME 3 . I wished ME 3 would have come out in 2011 so it could find out that gamers care more about game play and story with such games as Modern Warfare 3 , Gears 3 , Skyrim . and Battlefield 3 .

Que 'All you need is love' and watch Garrus, Shepard, and Wrex hold hands and skip into the sunset...

This is the first time I've heard a protagonist go gay in the third act of a space opera.

@ ExtremeOne -- You realize, of course, that ME DOES give you the option of being offended by gay romance? When Liara first hits on Shepard, she has the option to be offended that she would considering romancing a woman. If there is a gay man who will hit on male Shepard (which I doubt since what few releases there are seem to suggest that SHEPARD has to make the first move), I wouldn't be surprised if a similar option is available.

Space operas are, like, SO gay to begin with.

I person who enjoys ME is a fan regardless if they like romances or not. I won't use quotations to infer that someone else isn't really a fan just because their view is different than mine. I do, however, use air quotes, using two fingers, in honor of my favorite council member.

But I do agree that the main focus of ME3 should be blowing up ****.

It would have been better just to have a option in the options menu for it

Because God forbids that you think before picking the dialogue options.

Why would it be better that way? Tying swathes of gameplay content to a on/off switch because it offends insecure people is nonsensical

@ ExtremeOne -- You don't have the option of turning off the gay LI fans now, but you seem to be holding your own. I'm sure you could handle a video games dialog options to not start a gay romance. A "simple" pre-game toggle that turns off at least a dozen or so in game options sounds like a series of VG bugs just waiting to happen.

I'm not a fan of homophobia myself and I AM an athiest, but the history of athiests in power in relations to gay is not an entirely proud one. Castro, Stalin, and Mao all rounded up gays by the thousands to submit to medical exams to find out what was "wrong" with them.

Once you start doing that others will demand that an option to turn off their least favourite feature. The result would be not entirely unlike the DA construction kit.

Mordin is full of advice for everyone Shepard may romance.  I asked him about my real romance and he said I should just consider myself lucky.

Tis cool, though I admit your post confused the hell out of me for a second due to punctuation problems.
