LIKES:
1. Combat is more fun.
2. Spell trees are good.
3. Voice acting is (almost universally) as excellent as in any BioWare title.
4. Varric. <3
5. Progress to next level reflected in bar under character's name; very convenient.

DISLIKES:
1. REPETITIVE AREAS.
2. Being restricted to one city.
3. Lack of item descriptions. Boo!!
4. Lack of cohesion to the storyline in general
5. Lack of cutscenes when completing some quests (/give foozle to merchant, automatic CHA-CHING of coin being exchanged, wham-bam-thank you ma'am)
2.

LIKES:
1. Merrill
2. The Black Emporium
3. Combat is enjoyable.
4. Animations are engaging.
5. Many items and armors look good.

DISLIKES:
1. The story was disjointed and lacked a clear focus.
2. Anders (whiny, broken-record syndrome, and the ONLY HEALER ON THE TEAM for much of the game)
3. The Wave Mechanic
4. Repeated Areas
5. Item restrictions and stats- they're dated and no longer make sense.

Likes:
1. The loading screens. Seriously, they are amazing.
2. Giving the pc a voice allowed him/her to be more involved in conversations.
3. Varric. Do you honestly need anyone else in your party?
4. The Qunari sub-plot.
5. Vanilla DA2 is significantly harder than vanilla DAO

Dislikes:
1. Significant absence of anything resembling a plot. C'mon, Bioware I know you guys can do better.
2. Inability for Hawke to interact/influence the plot in meaningful ways; distinct lack of choices.
3. EXCESSIVE USE OF RECYCLED ENVIRONMENTS!!!
4. The over-the-top anime combat animations/finishers. If I stab someone THEY SHOULD NOT explode into a pulpy mass.
5. How unpolished the final game was. Horrible amount of game-breaking bugs, pathetic textures in several areas (notably npc's), Kirkwall is eerily devoid of life, npc's remained rooted to the ground, guards/Templars do not react to invading enemies, the CC is broken (try and create a Hawke with a custom beard - go ahead, try it), enormous amount of junk items, lack of icons... I'm just getting started by the way, this could go on for paragraphs.

1) The skill trees and inter-class combos
2) The care in companion design and development
3) The idea of a 10-year campaign
4) Some improvements in combat realization (but with many problems still existing)
5) Some quests , the most morally charged

Dislikes:
1) The excessive use of combat in the story (-> lack of variety in the quests)
2) The recycled maps
3) The dullness of the environments
4) The realisation of the 10 year campaign (no real feeling of the passing of time) and its lack of direction
5) The lack of non-combat skills and talents (see point 1)

Dislike:

-Recycling content
-My DA:O choices made no difference whatsoever.
-The combat system in its entirety (spawning mobs, ridiculous attack speeds, crap threat)
-Bland, bloody awful loot. Lack of icons, flavour text, anything remotely interesting. Trash loot.....
-Dwarves, where are the females exactly? The Deep Roads sucked and lasted an hour.

LIKES:
1. Teammates. They're such an interesting, involving, human bunch. They do good things, they do bad things, they do foolish things. They interact with each other. And even if I disagreed with some of them, all of them are great characters.
2. Tactics. I know streamlining's all the rage, but do not lose the tactics, ever.
3. New design of elves and Qunari. Definitely more distinctive and memorable than pointy-eared humans and drow on steroids.
4. Some things still end badly no matter what you do.
5. Combat looks more fun.

DISLIKES:
1. Map recycling. There is way too much of it, it is way too obvious and by far the one thing I disliked the most.
2. Glitchy savegame imports. Seeing consequences (no matter how minor) of what you did in the previous game is one of the most awesome things about BioWare's games, so I'm sad when it doesn't quite work.
3. Enemies spawning out of thin air...and in plain sight.
4. Darkspawn re-design. Scavenged, disrepaired armor and crazed animal-like movements do fit nicely, but the spawn themselves look too clean for what they're supposed to be. The diseased, rotting, undead-ish look they had in the first game suited them better.
5. No making potions on the run. It's realistic and it's easily avoided by buying huge amounts of potions at start of each chapter...but still somewhat inconvenient.

LOVE:
1. F!Hawke! I have 3 so far!
2. Companions and family integrated into story. How much of the game that was centered around my group, I adore all of them.
3. Friendship/rivalry-system. Such a great addition! Made interaction and romances so much more fun!!
4. Voice with a dialogue wheel. Great for me, I find this much more interesting than a list that I know by heart by Hawke the 3rd.
5. <3-icon. No more being cold to people you really would like to have as a friend in order not to start an unwanted romance (Kelly ME2). And you know that you are flirting when you do. Hubby managed to friend Leliana just because he was so polite all the time, poor hubby

Dislike:
1. As much as I like exploring Kirkwall I'm feeling a little cooped up. I want to see a little more different areas.
2. I would have liked to see a little more of my Hawke after the ending battle. Can't specify more because no spoiler..
3. Wish there was a little more of the romance in Act 3. Hey, I'm a hopeless romantic, and this might just be me  =)
4. mini-map shows areas that I can't access in the current cave. Confuses me quite a bit when I try to get all loot.
5. didn't feel frightened enough by the templars as a mage. Know that they are scary but don't feel it enough. One scene with them chasing you or Beth. Bribing them afterwards and I would have been happier.

1 - The characters - a great selection again, personal favourites were Fenris and Isabela.
2 - Banter
3 - Not having to talk with merchants to buy items.
4 - Mirror of Transformation
5 - Hawke

Dislikes
1 - When the conversations indicated a choice where there was none, sometimes forcing Hawke to undertake a completely OOC quest.
2 - Not being able to initiate conversations with companions outside of their set questlike conversations - this was very poor.
3 - Protracted and boring boss fights, Although I did often giggle my way through the Arishock battle because it's so ridiculous... I'm guessing that was not the desired effect though.
4 - Kirkwall got boring
5 - That it was clearly rushed.

1: The characters and their awesome banter (Merrill, Isabela, Varric being my faves)
2: My lesbian Hawke having more romantic options.
3: I liked that some companion dialog was restricted to certain times/places...this allowed them to make it context sensitive and more meaningful.
4: I enjoyed the combat improvements and new combat animations (especially for mages)
5: Lady Hawke's new bod and the fact that she has her own animations

Dislikes:

1: Orsino's wtf at the end (Mage ending)
2: I wanted a bit more dialog/clarification on some things that happened in Act 3.
3: Too much over-the-top blood and gore.
4: Even though I like limiting companion dialog to certain places/times, I wish there was also the ability to speak with them anytime/anyplace similar to Origins. This dialog would have to be pretty general background stuff, but I think it would have been nice to have a bit more.
5: This is kind of dumb, but NO MORE UGLY MAGE ROBES

Favorite things:
1. Varric. He's the perfect narrator for this story. I always thought it odd that Duncan got the closing narration in DAO
2. Framed narrative.
3. Anders. I like the cursed romance bit. I like that he reminds me of Angel, and I definitely like the new voice artist. Not that I had a problem with Greg Ellis, it's just the same voice since Disciple in KotoR 2.
4. Okay, I like all the companions.
5. Like the story. There are bits I would have tightened up or done a little different, but I get what Bioware was doing.
6. Kirkwall. Yes, I like Kirkwall, it feels like Sunnydale or Mos Eisley in the Middle Ages. The whole city creeped me out, and there was a sense of insanity and evil having seeped into the very stones of the city.
7. Hawke and family
8. Skill trees

Dislikes:
1. ending did feel a little rushed
2. recycling a little overboard.

LIKES:

1/ The companions and their awesome interactions (banters, deeper companion quests, romance options for everybody)

2/ The voiced protagonist. I would NEVER want to go back to a silent one.

3/ The faster combat (along with the increased difficulty on Nightmare when compared to Origins) and skill trees.

4/ The Friendship/Rivalry system. I loved being able to earn the respect of companions whose views weren't the same as mine.

5/ The Black Emporium's mirror of transformation. I love to change hairstyles several times during my game, so being able to do it within the game (instead of having to use the toolset) was awesome.

Bonus: The ending to Act 2. Twas epic, nuff said.

DISLIKES:

1/ The ending of Act 3. Having Orsino turn on you even if you sided with the Mages was poorly handled. The lack of a proper epilogue (or even having the chance to see the companions one last time) is another thing I missed. The entire final battle in general wasn't that enjoyable to me (perhaps due to it being confined to the tiny rooms in the Gallows).

2/ The combat music. While there were a few tunes I loved, there were too many I really didn't like.

3/ Recycled Areas.

4/ Shorter conversations with companions. While I loved what was there and it was enough for me to get just as attached to them as I did in Origins, I still wished there had been more.

5/ Waves spawning out of thin air. It looked stupid.

Bonus: Combat animations taking too long to finish. I can't tell you how many times I missed the chance to exploit a cross class combo due to my mage being too busy hitting the ground with her staff... :pinched:

1. improved combat and skill trees
2. companions and their banter
3. friendship/rivalry system
4. The story up to act 3
5. voiced protagonist

Bonus: Much improved boss fights, particularly the Ancient Rock Wraith and the High Dragon.

Dislikes:

1. recycled areas
2. repetitive combat encounters with enemies falling from the sky
3. act 3 (there was a visible decrease in quality of the story and, outside of conversation, the whole feeling of an impending mage rebellion/widespread warfare wasn't conveyed very well)
4. fetch and carry quests (boring, repetitive and lacking any significance to the overall story)
5. Kirkwall didn't feel like a living, evolving city. The changes as the years went by were mostly minor, npcs stayed the same spots and even the banter between citizens never changed. The design of architecture was great, especially in the Viscount's Keep and the Chantry (love that door).

1. The companions, especially Varric (the best NPC-friend I've ever had :D), Merril and Fenris. I like the fact that they felt like real persons to me, and the companion quests was great!
2. Female Hawke's voice.
3. The statues in the Gallows
4. The equipment rating system.
5. The new design for the Qunari (NOT the elves!)

Dislikes:

1. RECYCLED ENVIRONMENTS. EVERYWHERE! I can't find words! It's a disgrace! Why would someone DO such a thing! It's just... so... wrong... :crying:
2. The design overall. It was too clean, this isn't Mass Effect where it is supposed to be sterile environments, this is Dragon Age! It is supposed to be dirty!
3. Enemies that come from the ground, roof, thin air and other stupid places.
4. That you didn't got to speak to the companions whenever you wanted.
5. The ending. It wasn't as good as the rest of the story.

1. Companions. Although not as deep as in DA:O, still interesting;
2. Talent trees/unique abilities for companions;
3. Voiced PC - it was rather nice watching my pc interact with the game;
4. Great character emotion. Again, nice to have a PC that reacted;
5. Ahm...let me think....wait...wait...I'll get it in a moment....Ah, that Cullen and Leliana still looked good?

Dislikes:
1. Lack of companion interaction. Why do I like these people again?
2. Lack of story immersion. Why am I here? What is the purpose of life?
3. Lack of caring about what was happening - there was nothing happening to actually make me care about Kirkwall or anything beyond my family.
4. Use and Re-use of the same darned foot prints of one warehouse, one cavern...
5. Redesign of the elves, Alistair, Zevran (oh! My poor Zevran!), Teagan (what happened to his nose?), Anders...

Forget like! I freakin dislike this Image IPB
yay lets know the outcome of a conversation before we reach it's conclusion.
This Icon is all that is wrong with Bioware expressed in a visual indicator for the unadventurous and inanely stupid.
If there was EVER an immersion killer it is this frakken stupidity!
What!!!! does Bioware assume that the story is nothing more than a path to 'getz achievmentz"?
You know why this game was boring? THIS Image IPB

I thought ME2 paragon renegade was lame, but this just takes that god awful idea to the next level.

Who is Bioware making games for freakin 8yr olds?
God vandam it. there is no risk or sense of discovery in this bloody awful icon nonsense.
OK some people are busy and do not want to have to think too hard about what to say in an RPG,
But really, THISImage IPB???
Why quote myself? because I want to hit people over the head with THIS Image IPB

So what if some people can not be bothered to get enough of a grip on language to be able to tell when what they are saying is flirting, caring or threatening to eat babies?
Why foster ignorance and lazyness? WHY?! Are you really so uncaring about the value of thought that you will subvert artistic ideals to appeal to the lowest intellect? And for what, money? I truly am, dissapointed.
I need to go to my happy place for a while now. If anyone wants me I will be in DAO, again.Image IPB

1) Interesting story, not afraid to bring politics and prejudice into it. Very mature content.
2) Move toward more action in combat, but... (see dislikes)
3) Improved graphics over DA:O.
4) Improved facial customization.
5) Voiced main character.

Dislikes:
1) Maps were reused to an extreme level. There was too little new to explore. I saw everything there was to see by the middle of Act 2.
2) Broken combat mechanics. Attacks were too weak, special abilities and spells were nerfed. Combat is a button mash and strategy has little role. Too many attacks and spells are area effect, making them useless if friendly fire is on.
3) Broken boss fights. Having bosses immune to all my special abilities is frustrating, not fun. Took forever to kill them, which translates to boredom.
4) Over-simplified character management. All classes rely on two attributes exclusively. Fewer weapons choices for warriors and rogues. No advantages / disadvantages between swords, axes, and maces. Fewer armor choices for all classes. Complete inability to equip armor on companions.
5) Dialogue wheel goes too far by essentially telling you how an NPC will react to a choice.  Want to romance somebody? Just pick the heart all the time. No listening to them or understanding them required. Mass Effect's works better because it doesn't give away NPC's reactions.

1. The fighting system is a million times better in DA2
2. Voiced protagonist. The thing I hated most about the Warden was the muteness. I really like the dialogue wheel too.
3. The characters! Even though some take a while to grow on you (Aveline, Carver, Merrill), I love them all. The fact that they had their own individual outfits added to their character.
4. Better graphics and animations. And better customization options for PC. And better armor.
5. Friendship and rivalry.

Dislikes:
1. I wish you could initiate dialogue with your party members when they are at their homes like you could in DAO. Especially with your LI. More dialogue options in DA3 please!
2. Fully clothed romance scenes. You can see desire demons which are basically nude women who like to caress their breasts, there's that one scene in Seb's quest Repentance with the elf girl being naughty.....but you can't see Anders or Fenris topless! The most you get to see is a bit of Anders's collarbone when he is sitting and leaning over at the end of the game. *sigh*
3. Most of the mage robes. Although the robes of the Champion are awesome! The only other robes that were tolerable were the ones that reminded me of Snow White. I hate the way the Circle style robes look, with that symbol over the crotch. More robes of a style that you might see Morrigan, Flemeth, or Merril wearing, please.
4. The reused maps are a bit annoying, but would be less bad if the minimap was edited to reflect the areas you actually could explore.
5. Opening a master chest or looting 5 shining piles of gold only to receive a pouch of pebbles or other meaningless junk.
