Getting rivarly points from Fenris when I stop him from killing his sister. I was like WTH??? I did enjoy Anders comment about him being two-faced.

Anders standing in my mansion assuming we've had a relationship the whole time I've been in Kirkwall and Anders giving Varric his mother's pillow???!!!  Image IPB

On my first playtrough i was suprised when Meredith turned on me even as i did the will of the templars, to deal with the mages. (I wasnt a mage however, but Meredith seemed to see me as a potential ally to eradicate the Circle of Kirkwall). I also let her kill my sister Bethany. Yet she turned on me and i was like "Hey didn't i just help you kill all mages, including my sister?". Then she explained about the blade was made by the lyrium idol taken by Bartrand, and then i knew what was going on, a bit too late tough(Bethany already dead, let Meredith kill her to proove my loyalty to the templars cause)...

Its been said, but bears repeating - Act 3. I think I can safely say that this is the first time I've finished a game and thought "okay wtf?" I replayed in case it was just "first time confusion". Alas, no, it made even less sense the second time through.

If you mean WTF as in INTENDED totally unexpected plot twist, I would say Mother... I didn't expect that at all... I figured I must have done something wrong, but it's unavoidable. That Anders blew up the chantry wasn't that unexpected---we knew he was up to something horrible. I think they way Orsino's transformation was presented was UNINTENDED... like someone above said, there was a cutscene of hordes of templars pouring in that was missing which could have fixed it.

The Grace "betrayal?" Honestly when I saw her near the end I didn't remember her. I needed a "and you must be.....?" dialog option. Too many of the mage/templar plots blurred together.

Now if you mean WTF as in a notable non-big-picture design screw up, I would say the difficulty balance of the rock wraith fight. It took me 6 hours to beat that.

Mine was All That Remains. Got to Quentin's hiding place, saw vague outline of Mother, thought 'yay! She's still alive!'

Two seconds later: WTF?! Nooooooooo!

When you first meet Cullen. Hawke saved him from abomination/demony madness by casting blood magic all over the place, then tells him I have "friends" that are mages. WTF? He didn't notice Hawke spearing herself with the staff and spraying blood everywhere?

The major one for me is what others have already mentioned: Orsino going batso when you and the mages are kicking Templar booty. There is absolutely no justification for him losing it like that on a totally mage-friendly playthrough. It's just stupid, and completely lame storytelling. <_<

In my opinion, the damn moment is when sister Petrice betray me to escort the qunari mage to his camp, and after killing this poor prisoner, then the goddamn chief of the clan try to kill me!!! Till now I still feel that's a pretty damnation. I was betrayed 2 times!!!!

All that remains, I loved Leandra and did my best to try to make her happy.

Once she got those lillies though I went all sickhouse on anything in my way. Especially that stupid begger kid.

Finally once it happened I put the controller down and got something to eat. But all I could say in my head was "Dude......Seriously.....That was F***ed up...."

This. D:
I RPed through my playthough, and my Hawke loved and did everything for her family. She was absolutely crushed when she couldn't bring Carver back from the Deep Roads with her, and blamed it on herself. When I saw the lilies, I had a mini panic attack. And following the blood... And then seeing her sitting there with the scars.. *shudders* Even the second time around I got shivers, and -hated- myself for having to choose the "Oh, it's nothing" options... :crying:

It seems to me that all important people we try to save ends up dead somehow.

No need to remind Act 3. Doesn't matter if you try to solve the problem, it will happen anyways and you have no power to stop it. I guess only real decision you can make is either you want to be the Viscount or not.

There are many WTF moments like Leandra....( first time I did the quest and heard she recieved ''White lilies '' I was like '' Oh god not her ! '' ) Nearly %90 of the mages I met in the game went crazy for some reason. I felt like there was no Veil in Kirkwall since we faced soo many demons. After sometime I thought even bandits were more rare than demons and they lost their unique status for me.

I saw many reasonable Templars but somehow they got chewed up by the crazy ones , again. I know Bioware wanted to start a War but killing every reasonable person and leaving us a choice '' which crazy you gonna side with ?'' is not exactly a good way to do it. I would have said '' Blight take you both ! '' and leave those idiots to themselves , take my sister and friends with me. Only reason I sided with Mages was because I wanted to save my innocent sister and not let Meredith play the ''god'' on people.

And ofcourse the Ultimate WTF moment : Destruction of Chantry.... I mean the only reasonable person in this city after me was the Grand Cleric and what happened ? Our '' friend'' Anders blew it up because he wants '' justice '' by making carnage. At that point I honestly believe Justice become a demon. No good spirit , for justice or not , can do something like that knowing it will lead to a carnage. Oh how I would love to see a new blight start and take all these idiots !

Anders...I cannot even speak good about him anymore. I did everything to help him , save himself from him ! Even Merrill , that naive girl , was more understanding and turned from Blood Magic . And he said '' I am too weak to do this so I should kill the middleman to start a war where many people probably gonna get slaughtered '' When he said '' I am going to be remembered as a hero'' I swore to myself that I will destroy every book that contains his name. A pride demon surely got a hold of him since in a banter between him and Sebastian even pointed out that Anders thinks he is like a modern day Andraste.... thats Hubris for you.

Funny story...there basically is no Veil in Kirkwall, see the Enigma of Kirkwall codex entries.

Let's see. Getting Rivalry points for not wanting a relationship with Anders. Meredith turning into a jedi/power ranger at the end of act 3...in fact nearly all of Act 3 is bad. Orsino. Leandra dieing. And Hawke's plot significance...I fail to see how he is meant to be "The most important character in the Dragon Age universe".

It's become apparent to me that I really need to start reading Codex entries. I totally missed that, but it would explain quite a bit.

I've read that codex entry several times and I'm wondering if the HOF (if they didn't go through the mirror with Morrigan or maybe they did) is the ones tracking down whatever the Enigma of Kirkwall is or was.
