Employee or mere fanboy, the behavior is pathetic but not surprising.

I'm guessing it's a fanboy fanraging on Metacritic, myself.

It's pretty evident that it's a Bioware shill

M_Stannard as in Meredith Stannard - Knight-Commander of the Templars of Kirkwall

This is sad on so many levels.

I'm guessing that some Bioware employee wrote a negative review about the first Witcher? I don't really follow the Witcher, so i wouldn't know.

A Bioware employee reccommeded people to buy The Witcher

No, it's an employee. I distinctly remember Joystiq reporting that somebody on 4chan had done some investigation into the account and found that the account was registered to a Bioware employee.

Simply verifying that this review site and its stats are flawed. I also doubt that the game is actually a 10 or 0, IMO.

obviously someone wants to manipulate the ratings because he knows that the opposite is true and the witcher 2 is the better rpg... and it is btw.

Is M_Stannard the same account? I thought it was named something else

If that truly is an EABioWare employee then the proverbial poo needs to hit the fan. Every gaming journalist worth a damn should investigate.

It's really rather sad that one or two guys or gals actions can cast such a negative light over the company as a whole.

Agreed. Do we know for sure this is a Bioware employee?

And I guess everyone that gave Dragon Age 2 a 0 is an employee from another company... Lets go pull up everyone that posted a 0 and find out!

Would have to be a bit of an idiot to post under that name. They have been caught posting reviews before so who knows.

M Stannard's reviews are written with a coherency you cannot expect from fanboys or most EA employees. 95% chance it was written by someone who thought it'd be funny to make people think he is a bioware employee. 5% chance EA told Mary Kirby to write it because I think she's the only writer there who can write like that.

Well played!

I suspect it's just another troll fan raging/slandering a game; it happens a lot on that...site. From what I've seen of TW2 so far (I'm still in Act I & bloody STUCK because I suck at the fighting, even on Easy...) , it's bloody brilliant. I'm even getting used to the redesigns, even though I still prefer Geralt's original look (Same goes for Triss....and does she have a different VO?). But I have to get back to playing TW2. More fun than speculating, yup, yup!:wub::wub:

agreed, this review does not look like the one written by the bioware's employee~~it's more like from a fanboy with good writting skills

wow, how stupid is that behavior?? Whoever this guy is, a EA or Bioware employee, a fanboy, etc. He/She is a idiot.

I don't even got the game (actually, I'm playing Witcher 1 right now, I'm at the end of chapter 2 and man, what a great game, great RPG), but I'm tempted to register to metacritic and vote a 10 just to bash that idiot hehe

"It’s true that you could likely boot up The Witcher 2 with no idea of what it was, hacking and slashing your way through without a care, but doing so would be a travesty. The Witcher 2 is one of the most exciting and involving RPGs we’ve seen in a long, long time. It forms a logical competitor to more action-orientated titles, such as Mass Effect, and succeeds where previous pretenders, such as Dragon Age 2, have failed. Those who can bear the QTEs and practice finding hotspots, who take the time to immerse themselves in the world and understand the characters will find an experience that’ll be tough to beat - not just for future RPGs, but all future titles. "

Premium Grade, 95%

Lol and here we go. Looks like The Witcher 2 is a winner.

Whoever M_Stannard is he definetly has some serious DA2 EAware fan glasses on.

Or he is just the greatest troll of all ages!
Either way , just by looking at witcher 2 initial response it is easy to say it beats DA2 like :

Theres just no competition.

I'm sorry if that guy is an employee he deserves to be fired that's just not professional.
If you're part of the industrie you lose certain rights of criticism.

I don't think one review would change people mind about The Witcher 2, of course it has no chance...not even a little that M_Stannard review would destroy this game. Admit it people...regard of your loyalty to BioWare, they'd screwed up on Dragon Age 2 and even If this was EA employee or fanboy...it pathetic.

I can't decide if the "review" is serious or not. My sarcasm detector is going off the charts. I thought it was pretty funny. :D

Huh... You know this makes me a little angry, and i hope that this person realise he is not making the situation better for either EA or BW, if it is just a random troll then this person can go dig a hole and disperse himself into said mass abyss as he obviously has nothing to offer mankind or that which surrounds us.
And for the record i would love to play TW2 sadly can't(unless they make a console version) but i think rpg of the year is more likey to go to Skyrim.

Lol I'm surprisingly finding combat difficult in varying degrees even on easy.

Reminiscent of the Gothic games, how it would kick my ass if I timed my attacks badly.

I like that.
