Seems to be the 15mins interactive digital comic PS3 owners got bundled FREE with their game.

Going for 320msp on LIVE.

It allows you to make those all important ME1 choices without having to spend hours playing through the original game.

I'm happy it's been released but it being 320 MP is ridculous. Not only is it badly done but it's only 15 minutes long! Seriously? Isn't Overload that price? *Face palms epiclly*

I think it's a neat idea as it allows newcomers the opportunity to get a general grasp on how events unfolded in ME1 without the need to play through a game in its entirety, so it does have its uses, but like you said, i'm a bit miffed as to why BioWare are charging PC and 360 users when PS3 players got it for nowt.

Don't get me wrong, i can see why it was bundled with the PS3 version, but it's unfair charging 1 group of players and giving it away as a free extra to others.

And the qualitys bad.....I could find a pre-owned copy of ME1 on eBay for less money.....

Is 320 points really that much?

As for being unfair to charge 360/PC players, they still have the option to import their save files from ME1.

Really you ARE better off with importing your save files to be honest... yeah this only takes 15 mins (well...5 mins for me) and replaying ME1 can take hours....but its SOO worth it.

For all the ancillory characters to show up anyway. (fist, Helena blake, Conrad, etc etc)

The save editor can do the same thing for free and it works on both PC and 360 saves.

Meh.

I'd rather just replay ME1. That comic is missing out on major details, too.

You can also download it off Games on Demand on the XBL Marketplace, but that costs more than eBay obviously.

Why would anyone purchase that considering the original game, Mass Effect is available on the 360?

ME1 disks are no longer manufactured on the 360, which means you have to be lucky to find a copy at your average game store (especially a new copy). You can either buy it online or download it off Games on Demand from the dashboard.

I think Genesis is suitable for those who simply aren't interested in ME1 or can't see themselves playing it more than a couple of times, so it has its uses despite its relatively low quality. I might go ahead and buy it at some point, but I don't know.

Here in the UK you can still buy ME1 brand new for the 360. It's in their classics collection and can be had for a little as £5.

It's still there, yes, but it's not as easy to find it as it was a couple years back.

Yea I figure this much. Its just (IMO) ME is such a good game with a good story why would anyone want to miss out on the majority of its content(side quests, character interaction, etc)? But to each his own.

I'm debating downloading it. Though I don't mind an excuse to not play ME1 ever again, I don't like that it's forced into the intro without a choice, which cause some bad editing with TIM and Miranda, and forces Kaidan and Ash from the Normandy scenes. I'd prefer if Genesis was a separate option, next to just playing the default game. Like say, under new game, you're given the option to either play the default, or create a genesis. I also don't like that it adds another 15 minutes to an already long, unskippable intro.

Well, how does it effect the cutscenes? I have not seen the original one for PS3.

Is it split throughout the beginning or all condensed prior to the Illusive Man/Miranda pep speech?

Well, all I have to say is hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha *deep breath* hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Honestly, what other reaction could Bioware expect for releasing that for 320 points? From the videos I've seen on youtube, it's rubbish, and ignores Feros. Plus, it means you're paying 320 points to avoid playing an awesome game.

Genesis doesn't even explain all the races. like the geth, one of the main enemies in ME1.

Should just show IGN's Mass Effect In Five Minutes video and let the player make all the choices there.

Why would BW think anyone would *possibly* want to pay 320 MSP's for a 16 minute thing like that? The vid Someone With Mass gave is lightyears better than Genesis....*and* it's free!
