What are you talking about? I still see piles of ME1 just laying around at my gamestore.

I didn't purchase those items, so not really in a position to answer that question. That said, almost all DLC isn't worth the money they are asking.

Is this only available for 360? It's not showing up in the DLC page for me.

Blech. I have ME1. And Gibbed.

Alternate Appearance Pack 3 instead, please.

Nice that they made it available, though.

There should be no need for anyone on the PC/360 to buy this comic.  You can watch the thing for free on youtube and you can use the savegame editor or download a savegame for free.  It would have been nice if Bioware had considered rewarding their customers, but seriously paying $4 for this comic you need your head seeing too if you are even considering buying this when there are plenty of free options.

Two things.

1) In asking whether or not it's only available for the 360 the obvious and logical inference that can be drawn from the question is that I'm asking about a PC version, of which cannot be obtained from the xbox marketplace link.

2) If you already realised this, which although unlikely based on your statements is possible given the fact of my statements, then why couldn't you just post the damn link?

Three things:
- this should be free
- comic is very poor written
- it only covers the choices you made, it doesn't explain anything about: Reapers or Geth background, Normandy geting locked down, Thorian is never mentioned, neither is Vigil, Udina being jerk, Admiral Hackett, nothing about charachters you recruit... i could go on

Is 320 points really that much?

320 Microsoft points could buy you up to 4 Indie games or an Avatar costume ... either way you would probably get better value for your Microsoft points than downloading Genesis.

edit: I am bit slower today and it only just hit me now - its part of the Cerberus Network on one platform but indpendent paid download on another? thats kind of fail

****g around with ME2 intros twice and editing in Gibbed (which is what is required for the ME1 choices to be validated), adding up to half an hour plus of boring as hell, painful BS, versus a quick click through of scenes... no, it is you who needs their head examined.

That.

Better options would be to either use editors or play through ME1 again.

Due to my geek level OCD - I have to have 1 one each character type played through ME1 so I won't be bothering with this especially for 320pts.........
oh hang on my completist geek need is forcing it self to the surface......might have to go get it..........:crying:

I don't need it, so I will not buy it. I have no problem with it being available, though.

1. The comic sucks as mentioned many times in greater detail.

2. You don't get to pick any of the smaller choices, which would be the only way I would use the comic. (Surprisingly its the little choices that make the biggest difference in the ME game)

3. It is quick because it sucks/

4. Gibbed is far more useful because you dont JUST edit story, you can add resources, get teammates early, or whatever else you want to do. Far worth the extra time, also helps if you want to replay ME2 without the scanning.

Well, that's good. Many game stores I've been no longer have it.

The comic only allows you to  change 6 things, that is it.  I would much rather use the save game editor that allows me to tailor ALL of my save game to what I want.  You also do NOT need to go through intros twice you just create a save game, flag it as "Finished ME 2" and then choose newgame + hey presto you only have to sit through the intro's once (which you will have to do with the comic as well).  I should also state that at no point in my save game editing did I ever encounter a microsecond of pain.

Nope my head doesn't need to be examined because I appreciate there are vastly SUPERIOR FREE solutions to not having an ME 1 save game.  But then they say "a fool and his money are soon parted".

^This.

If it's half the piece of trash that it's purported to be on this thread — why are people mad it's not being given away?

BW "Trash for sale! Scummy, smelly garbage for only $4 US! Get yours before it dries out!"

Fan "That should be FREE! D*** you, BioWare!"

Well, I just bought it. As much as I like ME1, I don't feel like playing it every time I want to make a new character and I'm not going to start messing with my Xbox to modify save games.

320MSP is definitely quite steep but put in perspective; that's still not as much as a KFC meal. Not a big deal.

Thank god they released this. If I have to play ME one more time I'm going to take a chainsaw to myself.

I played ME2 first (don't ask). Enjoying it so much I bought ME1... it had its moments, but overall I found it tedious. And the second time... GOD. I had to start drinking to get through it. Whatever this DLC thing costs, It's definitely worth not having to play ME1 again.

Although, I thought it was mentioned that they would have something similar for ME3... hopefully more thorough - so I may just wait for that.

Um...*scratches head*

Anyway yes it's trash, and that's the point. It CAN be useful, particularly to those who just don't like the ME1 gameplay etc or if they just want a quick character to import into ME2. In short, it makes ME life easier. What is ridiculous is that it's very small and short, which is of course the reason I wouldn't use it even if it was free. The argument is that PS3 users got it for free, and after some of the crap that Bioware has pulled *cough*epic community event*cough* they could have just given it for free to their loyal fans.

This would have also helped those coming into ME2 with a PC or xbox and not having played ME1 first.

EDIT: for those interested, here is the download link for PC. I still can't see the option to buy it, but that's where you can download it - 214 MB.

Math obviously isn't your strong point.

For everyone saying that 360/PC owners got gipped on this ---

We paid full price for our Mass Effect 2, and we don't get Mass Effect 1 at all.
