They're charging for it? This piece of crap? Unbelievable.

I hope you are being sarcastic, they have a right to charge you for their product.  If you don't like it then don't buy it.

No I wasn't. I also have the right to an opinion. And I think if they're gonna make it available to PC and 360 it should be free or it shouldn't be available at all.

Someone sounds like they have a sense of entitlement, the world doesn't work that way, if you want something you have pay for it that is the way the world works.

You mean like how PS3 users had to pay for it?

Normally I agree with you about the sense of entitlement regarding American culture but lets not pretend that this instance is without precedent of the item in question being given away for free.

edit:  That said the BEST solution would be for them NOT to corrupt our import files just because we used gibbed editor.

Please tell me this isn't true.  When was this said?

I don't have the exact quote but I do remember hearing things that save files that were edited in ME 1+2 would be corrupted when importing them into ME3.

I am assuming you are referring to what Chris Priestly said in this topic :-

Chris Priestly wrote .....  It is BioWare's policy that you DO NOT moddify our games. We are not responsible for any changes you make to our games and how they may or may not correctly work with future DLC or sequels.

And I know, I hear you say "Priestly, I only moddified the X" or "I only changed the Y, so that cannot hurt anything" or similar. THAT DOES NOT MATTER. Anytime you start mucking around in teh game and moddifying, adding credits, changing appearances, altering anything it MAY have an unexpected effect on future Mass Effect content.

You are welcome to do any modding you so choose, but you DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

To be honest any company will say that with regards to mods.  I imagine for the most part any save games you modify to do basic things such as resources or bog standard flag setting for decisions will be fine.  You may run into trouble if you try to do fancier things with the save game editor such as custom hairstyles.

I am certainly not that concerned about my save games suddenly not working when it comes to ME 3.  Besides I imagine the mod community will be pretty fast to get a ME 3 save game editor out and they won't charge you £3 for it either

All the ME1 history choices will take effect after leaving Lazerus Station,

I made a thread on this exact issue and got the answer that a Gibbed edit only takes ME1 edits into consideration if it's used as a new game. The end result of this is that you have to create a Shepard. Edit your ME1 decisions. Save it with "LivedToFightAgain" checked in the Raw tab. And then start a new game using this Shepard as an ME2 import.

That is then two intros you have to sit through.

Actually if you use this editor which is a modified Gibbs editor then it takes effect on your current play and even fixes things like Conrad Verner not being able to see paragon from ME1.

http://social.biowar...m/project/4373/

So all you have to do is the intro and then you can change anything you want on your current play to suit as you like.

Thanks for the link.  Now, so long as you have a headmorph or code (maybe?) you can totally bypass the opening sequence.

That's fair I wouldn't expect any company to support modding.
All I use it for is not playing though ME1 when I'm bored so nothing more than plot flags.

If something happens then so be it, I was just concered because others were making it sound like they were going to intentionally corrupt any files.

Really Bioware? 4 bucks for something that is completely free for ps3? I think that is really disrespectful to pretty much every xbox/pc user. What ever keeps the cash-cow fed right Bioware?

Whether you think it is fair or not, it is their product they have a right to charge you for it, besides we 360 users have been able to actualy experience ME 1 since day 1, we don't need the comic.

Yeah I know, but maybe I dont want to play through ME1 for the sixth time. Yeah I get it, they can do whatever they want with it, doesn't make it right though. Especially since 360 users have to buy the vanilla game and buy all the dlc's seperately. You would think Bioware would just give it to us as a will of good gesture. But obviously that is above them. Whatever, I really don't care. I have come to expect this type of thing from Bioware by now.

lol just six?  I have played both games in the series an obscene number of times.

What a childish retort. I was trying to have a serious discussion with you, don't even respond if that is the only thing you have to say. Yeah I have just played it completely through six times but when you put 30+ hours into each of those playthroughs, it can get repetitive. Sorry some people can only take so much mindless repetition.

I wasn't trying to be a dick but apparently you took what I said the wrong way,  I was laughing at myself.
