New to this discussion. What is Gibbed and is it legal for use on 360's? In other words, it's not seen as modding is it?

Technically it is. Any such activity is breaking Xbox LIVE Terms of Use.
AFAIK no one was banned (and probably never will be), but you should consider yourself warned, if you agreed to ToU.

I think this is an good deal. No one is forced to buy anything. Yes it would have been great if this was a freebie. I own ME1 and ME2 on the PC and 360, so it's easy enough to replay ME1 like have have done so many times. But this also helps for some quick re-plays of ME2 without playing ME1 to death.

Totally agree with this.  I have seen ME1 and ME2 at the Best Buy here in VA for $20 bucks each for the 360 so you could bypass this altogether and just get both games and have a complete thorough ME experience, but it's nice to have the option of just doing a quick ME2 run with Genesis.

I wasn't going to get this DLC, but a friend changed my mine. Its a nice comic and all that but I'm a little sad.... Now I have no reason to go back and play ME1 :'(

I dunno, now that I have it I think I'm going to go back and replay a fast casual manshep and femshep for multiple ME2 imports.

Feros not being mentioned is fine, but now I realize that the "canon" introduced with Genesis has you wiping out the entire colony. Even my Renegade sheps save Feros, so I don't think I can live with that.

Great tool for those that need/want a fast ME2 character with control over the major choices, but I'd rather have Conrad Verner imitating me and an intact Feros colony in my universe.

When I get a chance I will check with Gibbed to see if flags are changed on NG+.

Finally fired up a run. No flags were changed after Genesis. Makes sense as changeing ME1 flags in Gibbed's does not affect the current play through. Neutral TIM dialog is anoying though but over quicker than that anger truely registers. Now the lack of power of Genesis...

Going to make a new game tonight with Genesis and then see if any flags are tripped with:

http://b4rt.rootnode....php/site/index

Great app that let's you change flags with out importing and starting a NG+ with Gibbed.

At least then maybe I can get Conrad, Shiala, et all into my "new" game.

320? not worth it

I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favourite overpriced DLC on the Citadel. Also could just buy ME1 for 7 quid AND get a damn fine gaming experience to boot or get it for free in ME3.

Aw look at the people Q_Q because they don't have 4 dollars. I'm on the fence though, I just started a new Mass Effect playthrough and it's really fun, and I heard this comic did make some errors when it came to your choices so...meh sort of want.

The price point isn't the issue. The issue is most of us have paid for all the DLC for ME1 and ME 2 while the PS 3 owners got them for free. Why should we have to pay for this at all?

Does changing the ME1 flags really affect the current playthrough? The interface looks just like Gibbed's where changes only occur on NG+ (I assume because those flags are parsed into the ME2 plot data at the start of the game).

This is probably a dumb question, but just to clarify.... if you get this for the Xbox does that mean you can make the major choices from the first game without having to go back and play it? If so, I might like to buy it. Or is it just so we can see the comic but the choices don't transfer?

It's alright to think the artwork sucks? Man, I really hated it. Look at Garrus, doesn't even look like him! Ash & Kaindan are really strange eighter.

Yes it does, tested and verified. That was made, hosted and posted by someone on these forums, but I can't remember his name. Found it while searching for info on the Gibbed NG+ "collector ship weapon" bug.

Just make sure that [Other] True for all imported characters (or whatever it says) is checked.

Considering I lost all my saves (played 300 hours of ME1 and 190 of ME2) I bought this for PC... but I cannot RUN it (anyone knows how can I use it? I cannot find an executable. I'm playing ME2 for Steam).

I'm assuming you've downloaded and installed it? Just start a new game, and the comic will kick in right after the Normandy is destroyed.

Except the first two only came as part of the 360 & PC's Collector's Edition, or the PC-exclusive Digital Deluxe edition, and the latter three you were supposed to buy Dr Pepper to get codes for, and were not officially available anywhere but the US (And possibly Canada).

I wouldn't say any of them were technically free, as they all had costs involved if one acquired them via the intended means.

I've been having some trouble with the Genesis comic, as detailed in this post here:

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/107/index/7541077

If anyone could help me out I would be very grateful.

Gibbed will do it for free and make even more choices than with the comic. I was happy to see the thing going across the screen about Genesis until I came here and saw the price. NAH, I DON'T THINK SO!

Edit: And I would get it free on the 360 because I've earned that many points already through Xbox Live Rewards program and have another 200 pending for next month. But it's principle and I already know how to Gib my Xbox game saves but I still rather play ME1 if given the choice and I have the time.

Those were free through the Dr. Pepper EA promo and unlocked for all platforms here. And got another code at Wendy's because they are giving out cups with codes on large drinks for Shift 2 Unleashed but how the codes work, you can use them for any of the items on the dr. pepper EA promo page.

Edit: and even if not free through EA Dr Pepper promo, add up the prices of all those. LotSB, Kasumi, and Overlord are the three highest priced DLCs on your list.

A good reason to have this is if you have ME 1 and 2 on separate platforms. For instance, I had ME 1 on PC, and used the comic to carry over my options into ME 2 on PS3.

Gibbed does it free for the 360 and PC and more detailed choices are available not just main storyline.

Wahoooo! Thank you so much. :D<3:D

EDIT:

Fredvdp wrote...

This does the same thing as Gibbed's Save
Editor, except only six choices and it costs money. I don't really see
the logic behind charging money for this.

Oh, I wish I'd read this. I'm happy to pay for it, but you half-assed it? It doesn't cover everything? I regret my purchase. Shame on you. :pinched:

Well you are not using it againts other player or doesn't affect you online. Also the fact that no player or banhammer is watching you thus they can't report you so I don't see how they would do it... ;)
