Xbox version sells for USD 20. The above listed content works out to USD 28, for a total of 48 US dollars. When the PS3 version came out the Xbox/PC was USD 40, which means it was only eight dollars more and we got it a year sooner, plus we have access to the original game and all the small decisions.
So, BioWare can have my four dollars, because I wanted the comic. Thanks for making it available.

The first of the free witcher 2 DLC hit today. It adds over 90 minutes of gameplay. Meanwhile, Bioware is trying to sell an import mod like the one that their fanbase made months ago.
It's like Bioware wants their fans to go away. It's like they've given up trying to make us feel appreciated.
Well to be fair, that is about how long free* Zaeed launch day DLC was. Then again, the Witcher devs say all DLC for the Witcher 2 will be free**.

However, for someone (like many) who have paid (full price upon release since I know BW game kicks ass, ok DA2 issues aside) for ME1, ME2, and most of the DLCs, this is something I think could been given to fans (PC, 360) as a freebie. It could simply be considered a thank you from BW to loyal fans who have paid plenty already.
All the same, it is not a showstopper, nor the end of the world by any means.

4 bucks is a lot for an interactive comic that don't allow you to make all the choices from ME1.
I'll stick with http://b4rt.rootnode...php/site/index.

You should be comparing 4 bucks with the current price for Mass Effect 1.
Ok, lets see ME 1 is available on the PC for £9.99 for your £9.99 you get 30 - 40 hours of game play and the ability to alter ALL the decisions. Infact during steam sales you could pick Mass Effect 1 up for the same price as this comic. Now lets compare that against a 15 min comic that allows you to only alter 6 decisions.
So are you really trying to tell me that you consider a 15 min comic with only 6 decisions for £3 is better value than a full game with 30 - 40 hours of entertainment where you can alter all the decisions ? Hell this comic isn't even good value compared to the free tools that are available to alter ME 1 decisions on the PC and 360.
Thank ya.

How does it work? I have just downloaded it and I can't find it in the game.
The comic starts right after Shepard launches off of the Normandy in the opening cutscene. You must use a non-imported save file.
As for the price of the comic. I decided not to get it it. I enjoy playing Mass Effect 1 and I like want to do every little side mission because you never know what will matter in Mass Effect 3. It would have been nice if it was free though.

Hello Mass Effect fans.
Hi Chris, sometimes when you announce new dlc you also announce "but wait, there's more DLC coming in the future!"
Any chance you can confirm or imply more DLC in the works for ME2? Its going to be a long wait until ME3 in 2012!
Arrival was the LAST story based DLC youll see before ME3. It's already been said. The best you can hope for is "Weapon Packs" etc because there isnt going to be anymore DLC other than that.

Bioware, if you really need to cut into TIM's line, come up with something better. It was quite the hiccup, the silence between the speaking of TIM's line and Miranda's line - I immidiately felt it as less fluid then the rest of the convo.
Also, I understand that for the reasons of the comic, you need to have Liara as a romance for both male and female Shephards at the gameintro. But it's just... meh...
As for the comic itself, it was just an meh. It didn't feel as impressive as ME1's atmosphere. Of course that's also due to the fact you don't get to play parts of the game in the comic, but whatever. I just didn't feel anything for the decisions through the comic. Also, the way Shephard tells it more quickly makes you go the Renegade path - since some of the background you get ingame from talking to the Queen and researchers at Noveria for example makes you think more about it from a different perspective, while Shephard just says 'dangerous', 'evil' and 'war' and/or things like that.
Why couldn't you have placed the comic either seperately and/or really at the start (so before the TIM-Miranda conversation)? It creates a few more or less nasty feelings when noticing how badly it's put within the game.

"Microsoft forced companies to charge for content the company itself wanted to distribute free."
There's your answer.
"In this case, Microsoft Publishing was responsible for setting the price, with this not actually being a policy of the Xbox team or Xbox Live Marketplace as was implied."
I hope you do realize Mass Effect 2 is NOT published by Microsoft, right?

It's also not implied that it isn't Microsoft's policy. So they could be indeed forcing EA and other to charge for DLC.
