I got a virus and had to format my PC (murphys law) I am in the process of getting everything re installed thenI will get the horses out.

Bugs with the animations or the scripts implementing them? Because really, builders and PW admins will change those scripts a thousand different ways to suit themselves. We've been waiting a loooong time for those horses. . .

They can.... "deflate"  when you rest.

Resting and being on horseback are usually opposed activities, however.

Yes, just have it so you can not rest unless you've gotten off the horse. Unless that's been thought of already and there are still issues.

Portaits get a bit screwy when mounted, it would seem. Perhaps if you created characters with brightly and differently coloured mohawks you'd be able to tell them apart better. Image IPB

Indeed - I'm eagerly awaiting the ability to include conversation options that end with "... and the horse you rode in on".

I've also got an overland map near Gullykin in the works that would benefit greatly from a few hired halfling ponies. "Shank's pony" just isn't cutting it.

Larger areas are not a walking restriction...they are an engine restriction.  A 32x32 area, while certainly possible, is not suggested.  They are often unstable, and on low-spec machines, unpredictable.

Horses will not change any of that.  What they will change is the requirment to carry oats with you in game...

For traveling maps, how about a 8x32 areas with 1/2 scales Pcs or less? nice small winding road that could make a 32x8 "seem" more like a 16x64 or more.

Head-mounted crossbows, with a string leading from the trigger to the horse's mouth, might work though...
