Sandal's new voice destroyed him for me

I'm pretty sure it's the same voice. And even if it is different, it's MUCH better than the Witch Hunt voice and to me just as good as the Origins voice.

Please, no. I've had enough of them for the time being. The transition to DA2 made them look a little creepy...and they LIVED IN MY HOUSE!

Um, I'm not sure why people seem to think Sandal is so important. Yes, I'll admit I like him, but a lot of the time it just felt like Bioware had put them him in for ****s and giggles. Plus, why the hell was a merchant stopping and becoming a man servant for five years?! A merchant who had traveled with the Hero of Fereldan and supplied them for most of the questing probably wouldn't have trouble finding work. I get the 'I need to repay you for finding my son after he already killed most of the darkspawn near him' but for five friggen years? Doesn't seem likely. Tja.

I'm probably alone in this, but I've really and truly had enough of Bodhan and Sandal. The joke wasn't funny in DA:O. It's even less funny now.

Sandal's important because he's the enchanter for the PC and can fend off dozens of enemies that make normal men weep. There is something mysterious about him that is being explored more and more.

The fact that he froze an ogre and said "Not enchantment" has to mean that he has some special abilities. No way that Ogre was frozen when he went there.

It's obvious isn't it? Sandal is a predecessor to those ancient dwarves in the Primeval thaig. He's a dwarven mage. Which is why Flemeth wants his bum-hole.

lulz that seems to be the general theory going around that I personally agree with. The dwarven mage descendant of the Primeval Thaig bit.

The Flemeth bit.... O_o

Personally, I think Flemeth is Andraste who is the Dumat OGB and Sandal is the OGB from the 3rd Blight.

We don't know who ended the 1st or 3rd Blights, but we know who the 2nd and 4th Blights were ended by because they died.

I only said that bit about Flemeth because Sandal saw a "scary old lady with a creepy laugh".

And yes, Flemeth is an Old God. That's probably why she wanted to preserve Urthemiel's soul.

Oh I know that Sandal says that. Just the fact that you said she wants his bumhole is what made me go Image IPB

I still think Flemeth is one of the Creators.

Flemeth is the Maker

did you notice how many times people in DA2 say "The Maker has a sense of humor"? Flemeth obviously has lots of it

I rather have Wade and Harren.

This. I felt they ruined Sandal in DA2 by trying to turn him into some sort of demi-god.

Eh?  Yet another bizarre shot at DA2 for no good reason it seems.  He WAS a demi god in DAO, remember the litany of dead darkspawn and ogres and such at the end?  They really did nothing different to sandal in DA2 than they did in DAO except give him a few more cryptic lines.

Wrong...they also gave him a WAY creepier smile. /shudder
I'm still trying to erase it from my memory...

I think he's very loyal, but more than that, he likes being close to history being made.

I don't think that is possible, since Bodahn is getting old and the way Bioware wrote his lines seems to be pointing to him dying in a later game.

Or maybe Sandal will enchant him...

Okay, I like this.

Sandal is clearly the Dragon Age series' lead protagonist. He'll be back!

I wouldn't mind having them back....but NOT IN MY HOUSE! I would pay for a DLC that enables me, as in Hawke of course, to kick them out.

I was very surprised when I saw Sandal and Bodahn in DA2. I guess they try to accompany someone very important. I won't be surprise if they appear in DA3.

The idea that Sandal could blow up your entire house at any given time was a bit unsettling.

They'll be around...they have 'Conrad Verner' status, it seems.
