I have most of the ME2 DLC.... and cept for Shale no DA DLC

The golem, leliana's story, the feast day stuff didn't really grab me

I don't have enough for Warden's Keep.....

So is RTO worth it?

It's got some nice loot. That's all, really. Bring Loghain and Wynne.

Unless your favourite part of the Deep Roads was slogging wordlessly through pack after pack of darkspawn, no. Not particularly. RtO is mostly just that, with some puzzlingly inappropriate character writing thrown in for good measure.

Like Addai said, the Repeater Gloves (bugged) are awesome for an archer. And Cailan's Arms + Armor Set have some great set bonuses (+5 health regen in combat for the armor, +5 stamina regen in combat for the sword+shield, if I remember correctly).

If you want to get more items and earn more experience, let's waste some $. If you want to enjoy something interesting, keep your money to buy other worth thing

First question: Yes, it is not so great. Don't waste your time if you don't want to.
Second one: Of course, as long as you have enough strength, you'll be fine.

If you feel your Warden and "certain members" (Alistair, Wynne, Loghain) of the party need closure about what happened at Ostagar, then do it. It's basically killing Darkspawn all the time, but the location and atmosphere is definitely more beautiful than the Deep Roads.

I don't see what bleetman means with "puzzlingly inappropriate character writing", at least not with Wynne and Alistair. Their dialogues were entertaining. (Wynne teasing Alistair for a change) I never brought Loghain.

MY Wardens needed it and I didn't regret shelling the handful of $. But then, I'm a heavy roleplayer...

I thought it was fun plus the loot is great, and I agree with Marvin_Arnold.

Wynne cougaring up to Alistair on the battlefield where the Wardens died, and right before they bury his half brother, is morbidly awful.

Not to mention he seems to care more about Cailan than Duncan, he doesn't even give Duncan a mention, which runs contrary to pretty much all his previous conversations on the topic.

Most of that is because Cailan's stuff is all over the place, whereas all he has to talk about for Duncan is his weapons at the end. You have a point that Alistair could've talked about Duncan after the Genlock Necromancer and the Zombie Ogre with Duncan's Weapons in his chest were taken down.

Yes, that. The fact that Alistair openly flirts back not five feet away from his potential (and actual, in around half of my playthroughs) lover doesn't help matters, but still. Seriously? When did those two transform into a cougar and a philanderer?

It reminds me of the cut banter between Alistair and Zevran where they joke about Ferelden women being comparable to dogs. I mean. Just. Just no.

Or at Duncan's fire. Or when you find the Joining cup. Or at all, instead of hitting on Wynne whilst stood knee deep in the remains of his brothers-in-arms.

I've heard that cut banter (I think I did, anyway). The joke wasn't that Fereldan woman are dogs, the joke is that Fereldan women can't sleep without their dogs, and that was Zevran suggesting it.

Zevran: I cannot say. What have you heard? In Antiva, we hear that Ferelden men cannot sleep without a dog in their bed. Is that true?
Alistair
: A dog? No, of course not. We value our dogs, it's part of our history.
Zevran
: Oh. Perhaps it was simply a reference to your Ferelden women, then?
Alistair
: *Laughs* Well, now that you mention it...

If you say so :?

As I remember it Alistair only ever really met Cailan once when they were young, and even then they didn't really interact, Cailan just got distracted and wondered off. Compare that to Duncan, who's basically Alistair's surrogate father, and it makes no sense to me that he'd even give Cailan's boots a second thought when he's standing about a minute from where Duncan was killed for the first time since it happened.

Definitely.  They give a nice cunning and stamina bonus.  Kind of plain, though.

Me personally, I like this DLC with Loghain along, otherwise not so much. Some mentioned it as a means for the pc to find closure for Ostagar, but it also provides some very nice insights into Loghain's character, and, to a lesser's extent into Arl Eamon's motivations.

Image IPB  No, I wouldn't go that far.  Darkspawn Chronicles is terrible and I didn't like Leliana's Song, either, though if you like Leliana, there you go.  Only Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep are must-haves IMO.

I thought the expression on the Warden's face just before the last fight in RtO was worth the price of admission, but I'm easily pleased like that.

*spoiler*

On my Dalish, anyway, it read more as, "Zombie ogre? B****, please." (LGT uselessly dark screenshot.) I use Brosca's face at that moment as a "lolwhut?" icon sometimes.

Okay, easily amused (rather than pleased) would have been more accurate.
