One actor that everyone would surely love to have working with them on their projects though is Johnny Depp, he does amazing things with his voice and he does a very good British accent.
But he would surely be expensive, unless he agreed to make a cameo.
Simon Pegg would be another cool actor to get for the game. He did Ben Finn for Fable 3

Gideon Emery was wasted on Fenris. He and male Hawke should have switched places.
I don't think Simon Templeman is going to be used for any main characters or villains again, as he was already Loghain, though.
Couldn't care less about FemHawke, until Bioware starts actually differentiating between genders, the playthrough is largely wasted.

Jo Wyatt pulled off Fem Hawke brilliantly.Harid wrote...
I'd say get an accomplished pro to voice the main character, but it's too late for that. Bioware seems to lately have the habit of not using known va's for their main characters, and I tend to feel that the choices they do end up choosing cannot pull off what Bioware wants them to do.

There are many good voice actors around that do not require a fortune to hire.

I would like Bioware to get the cheapest voice actors and no big name voice actors so they can concentrate on the game play and story and spend money on the real game necessities.

Granted, but the cost of an awesome VA for a villian or two isn't going to be that much, all things considered. They don't have that many lines.

You didn't consider everything. DA3 also needs DLCs (and let's hope an expansion). I think that the costs of voice actors and their availability determines the content of story driven DLCs. The budget of DLCs is obviously lower and getting the VAs for the main characters and the NPCs together in the studio is not an easy task. All these people work on various projects and syncing their schedules is a real problem. You can see that at work in a lot content, from DA:O to ME2 DLCs.Drachasor wrote...

Even if you had all the money in the world if the actor doesn't like the part or the script they will not accept the role.
I would rather have good voice acting, and it would be nice to have some actual British people do some voices. The American voice actors (though good) have slightly slowed down the speech due to the fact that they are concentrating on keeping their accents up.
Just watch the Deathly Hallows, you'll notice the difference between actual British people speaking and Dragon Age.

Mark Hamil, Arleen Sorkin, John Rhys-Davies, Malcolm McDowell, Mia Farrow, Cam Clarke, Diane Pershing, Joan Gerber, Neil Ross, Beau Billingslea...
Alot of these I'm picking from the Quest for Glory IV and V- with some personal favorites. (Those games might be a bit old for a few of you.

Nolan North!
Sadly I don't know how he does for English accents. The problem with American actors like him and, say, Nathan Fillion is that if you hired them they either have to sound like themselves or... they'll sound like someone who's trying on an English accent, and maybe sound completely different from the reason you wanted them in the first place. I mean, my nerd-crush on Nathan Fillion knows no bounds-- but can you picture him doing an English accent?
I guess we could always make him an elf. But I dunno. This is why we do the majority of our voice recording in England. With real, genuine English actors (well... some of them are Scottish or maybe Irish, I don't think we're picky). Steve Valentine is an English actor working in LA, of which there are a few (thankfully). But those "fake accents" you're referring to are, 99% of the time, quite real, thank you.StreetlightEagle wrote...
I want genuine English people doing it. No more of that "what's goin on ere gov'ner" **** pulled by a lot of npc voice actor's trying to be English. No matter how good they are at voice acting, American's cannot pull off any British accents well enough. Their forced accents either sound like the Queen or the Artful Dodger and I don't want either of those for Hawke

For example, Simon Templeman. He IS Loghain. I wouldn't be able to really focus on a new character with his voice. Heck, he was in an episode of the tv series "The Event", and for an entire scene I was thinking "is that Loghain? I'm sure its him. OMG it IS him" etc. I couldn't concentrate on what was actually being said in the scene.
Having said that, in terms of actors I already recognise from elsewhere, John Noble (Walter Bishop in the TV series "Fringe") would make an excellent big bad.
