Yeah? At least D2D doesn't charge 50 eur for this game. Steam = disgusting crooksLord Clocks wrote...

Thanks, Bioware and EA, much appreciated!
I hope the people who went from steam to D2D realize the folly of thier furry ways and return. Steam > D2D crappiness
Steam IS preloading sometime on November 1st!

Same here, was even 55USD for a CE lol, totally very much acceptable..(business trips have their advantages!)
Not interested in D2D at all, I prefer centralizing my online purchases

Just because you are desperate, doesn't mean they are any less a bunch of thieves.Davidolowich wrote...

That was really unneccessary.
there are people, other than you, who are willing to actually pay for thier games and recognize that a big experience is worth a certain amount of money. If you dont believe that, why are you here?
Because you think this should be a budget title?

I went with D2D before Steam announced (yesterday) that they would preload. I like getting the guide for $5 too!

I just told my own forum users this and will share it with you all too.
The game is 15.3 gig on steam, at 300kps it takes about 10 hours to download and steam download speeds despite the rush have been very good considering. One user (Mitch) reported getting 500kps.
That means those who download at 100kps may take up to 30 hours to download the game.

I'm still waiting to get a place on the pre-load apparently too busy at the moment. I'm in the UK though so for me it won't actually unlock until the 6th to keep game and other UK retail outlets happy.

im in the UK, got the pre-load last night, i set my steam server to a US one, sometimes it confuses it and does things it shouldnt do. Steam ftw, i was mightily impressed with the pre-load as most of my previous experiences with steam releases have been, "uncomplimentary" I just hope they unlock it early on the 6th...

I am hoping with the publish and maker both being EA, that the digital release will be on 3rd for everybody and not leave UK digital users that have it on pre order and downloaded waiting longer than nessessary.
So far EA seem to have a learned a lot about DRM and digital releases from spore, so I hope this is one of the things they have learned. So far everything seems to be going fine, downloaded okay, advertising was okay, pre release information and lore great, books nice.
It would be shame to let it down by keeping UK digital users waiting when the games on my computer right now waiting to be unlocked.
