So I left Alistair unhardened, he killed Loghain, and I made Anora queen (and myself First Husband). He swore allegiance.

Back at Eamon's estate, I talked to him and everything was normal. (no comment on the Landsmeet, however) I gave him Duncan's shield and he thanked me profusely.

BUT!: When I left the estate, Alistair was gone from the companion selection screen. He is also gone from the party camp.

I don't see any logic in this. He refused the throne, he should be fine with my decision, he should be there, ready to go on fighting. I still have Return to Ostagar, as well as the "Harsh Decisions" and "Unbound" quests to do. Now I have neither Loghain nor Alistair.

The only explanation (for me) is that this is a bug...

Anyone know what's going on?

Maybe you are not the first victim of this stuff. I didn't get this because my male noble didn't advance to the Landsmeet yet. Hope you can find someway in there to help you out

lionalio, thanks for the link. Although that use's problem was slightly different (Alistair was gone immediately after the Landsmeet, whereas with me he was at Eamon's estate and diesppeared afterwards), the fact that they narrowed it down to Qwinn's fixpack seems logical to me.

I've had problems with that (no longer supported) mod before (Cammen's dialogue reactions were screwed up). It's too late over here to try this tonight (almost 1 AM), but I'll look into it tomorrow...

It was indeed Qwinn's fixpack that did it again. Definitely not recommended with 1.04. After I deinstalled it (and installed the GT core rules fixpack from DAnexus, which does more or less the same), I had to reload a save before the Landsmeet duel, since the post-Landsmeet save would crash when leaving the area. But with this, everything now works again.
