I reached level 54 on my first playthrough with this character. If I do all the missions/assignments (which I always do) and kill everything outside of the Mako, will it be fairly easy to reach level 60 from this point?

Actually, you can do all missions/assignments and kill everything INSIDE the mako and still make it from level 50 to level 60.

^+1. It should be possible to reach lvl. 60 in 2 solid playthroughs regardless, I think.
