I still don't understand why Square ports their games to a console, which won't function in Japan at least not on launch :/

^ It does? Yet they never seem to want to release the Final Mix versions here. Only one we've got is KH1FM and that'll only be in KH1.5HD only. I wonder if they'll make a KHIII FM. If they do I can see it both being a separate game to buy and also a downloadable expansion from the PS4 PSN Store and X1 XBLA Marketplace.

Okay, let me get this out of the way then.

The reason I'm gonna be playing KH3 on X1- I'm tired of bandwagon hating/criticizing.

I've never been loyal to MS/Sony/Nintendo. I just go with what interests me. Therefore, I'm open to everything. Its why I loved my Nintendo handhelds but wasn't fond of their big consoles. Its why I had a PS1 and PS2. Its why I had a 360.

But I despise that I cannot go ANYWHERE and talk about the next gen consoles with an open mind and be responded to in-kind. Look, I mention X1 here IN PASSING and the first responses I get are "Why are you buying that?" and "The PS4 is leagues better (and cheaper by $100)".

Even if the responses are there with the intent of helping someone, no one should have to question why someone wants one console over another.

Reason I don't get Nintendo consoles like Wii and Wii-U is their lineups don't interest me-chances are they interest someone else, so I say more power to them.

Same with the others-people are gonna want one over the other, or maybe even both, or hell all of them. Let them have it. Why is it a big deal if someone has a preference?

I'm sick of seeing positive X1 topics being riddled by negativity from people who are clearly not going to purchase it no matter what. Even if it was an exact copy of the PS4 in specs, policies, controllers, they'd STILL not get it. And they're busy staining the internet with insults towards those who want the X1 over PS4, trying to convince them to switch sides, etc etc.

The bandwagon hating's gotten so ridiculous that people are actually posting links to satire websites' joke articles thinking they're FACTS and trying to convince people to switch.

I'm tired of it. So while I was teetering on PS4 and X1 trying to decide where to go, the negativity pushed me TOWARDS the X1. I don't want to be on the same console as all these negative people. I just want to play my games and not be bothered by someone because of it.

Good thing too, since my gaming circle decided to stick with Microsoft(though I imagine some of them are probably on the fanboyism side).

So yes, I'll be playing Kingdom Hearts 3 on Xbox One.

And that SHOULD BE OKAY.

LP, I wasn't really trying to say you shouldn't buy it. I was actually genuinely curious why you were going to buy it since it's more expensive (which probably should've been the main focus of my post, even if money isn't everything 100 bucks is still a pretty big deal. To me anyway) but this:

I can understand not wanting to be around people who will begrudge you for your choice by name-calling and the like, or constantly hearing about how the PS4 is better, or whatever.

While I'll always have a low opinion of Microsoft's products, I won't debase myself by insulting the people that do buy them or constantly trying to turn something into a PS is better argument (well, save for among my friends in real life, but we're all PS people) -- and frankly, I don't even get into console war debates. All I really do is go "Sony Rules, Microsoft drools" in jest if a topic should arise pertaining to BOTH systems and then make an exit stage right, but that's about it.

I offer you my apologies, however. Regardless of my intentions, my post may have been unnecessary.

I am not trying to insult you here, but to be honest that is one of the worst reasons for going with XB1. The friend thing I get, but because of so called "bandwagon" hating. You realize that a very large section of XBox loyalist are very upset with the direction MS is taking, these people would be the absolute last to "bandwagon" on the Sony side. I do not know where you are going, but the sites do have a few "FAILBOX IS FAIL" children on them, but it is drowned out by overwhelming concern for the anti-consumer stance that MS has taken and the consumer apathy towards those policies. Moreso, most people know that Sony is not going the other way for the sake of "doing what is best for the people" but because they saw the massive backlash against MS and are striking while the iron is hot. If these policies do indeed make money, then you can bet that they would lead to more restrictions and even other companies following suit. It would be ok if it was just MS games versus Sony games, but it is much larger than that.

I respect Corey Burton as a VA, but dammit Christopher Lee ****ing made Ansem the Wise the badass that he is.

And Ansem's one very tragic hero character. One of my favorites.

But seriously, Nomura has made it clear that this game ends the Xehanort Saga, and while he's not certain of where the series would go forward just yet he knows without a doubt Sora would be the playable protagonist afterwards.

Its been so long with so many titles I haven't touched that I need to watch that near-hour long video a few times before launch. hah

Nah just play them again . There are seriously far too many nuances in the lore that can go overlooked that the hour long video missed IIRC. The Ansem/Xehanort/Secret Reports are a good case of that.

SPEND YOUR DAYS SEARCHING FOR THE POWER OF DARKNESS.

And is anyone else hoping that Basch, Balthier, Fran, Ashe, Sazh, and other FF characters appear? I also want Auron to come back because I refuse to accept he just went "Well, nothing more for me to do" and just left forever. That credits scene is just him going elsewhere, dammit!

If Ansem returns I'd like it if Lee was doing the voice again. Really disappointed he didn't get to voice him in BBS, where he had more speaking time than 358/2 days, I think. I hope we get to play as Riku or the other keybladers too in the next game -- I noticed that Donald & Goofy are back as party members in the trailer, so I wonder if we'll get similar gameplay to that of KH1-2? I prefer that over the card-based system personally. All in all, looking forward to hearing more. Hopefully Square won't put KH3 on hold for too long.
