I always liked that. I used some of it in a song a long time ago.Liamv2 wrote...

Real talk, Clayton should go die in a fire. I don't know how many times he shot me during that boss fight but keeping an eye on him while fighting a Stealth Sneak that you only see the shadow of is annoying.TheChris92 wrote...
Hates the Clayton Boss Battle so much.. Those obnoxious camera angles and his stupid gun - Ugh.

I JUST beat Sephiroth on Expert/Proud mode. Like, in the last 8 hours. Tried that Strike Raid thing. Not only was it boring, it didn't work like I wanted. Resorted to some good dodge rolling, blocks, curagas, and smacking that fool in the face enough times up close. Took me about 5 tries (At level 80) before I did it. MP Haste, and MP Rages are a must in my opinion. You wouldn't get the needed MP boost from Sephiroth destroying your health bar in a few swipes otherwise. That Omnislash is a pain to deal with.

I'm sure. I only mistakenly used Sonic Blade and Ars Arcanum like once each. Strike Raid actually had the tendency to outright miss the dude. He either moves out of range or moves out of the way before the first throw connects or during subsequent throws. And once he starts running around, omnislashing, and Super Novaing, forget about it. Fighting him normally was the way to go for me.Ser Galv wrote...

Brah, of course it's going to be boring. All repetetive things usually are. As for, why it didn't work, are you sure you're doing it correctly? Stay at the range which allows for Strike Raid, as opposed to Ars Arcanum/Sonic Blade etc. Abuse Ethers, too. Strike Raid > Cura > Ether once MP is low enough that it requires replenishing. Really, this is the cheapest and easiest method of besting Sephiroth on any difficulty.

I never saw Final Mix before I watched DSP's playthrough so I thought those recolors had something to do with the original assets of Kingdom Hearts being lost. Some of them are pretty cool, like the Soldier and Large Body. Didn't really like the Guard Armor or Trickmaster recolors. The Flying Grey Warden wrote...
So what do you guys think of the enemy recolors in the 1.5 final mix?
Sure, I tend to use dodge roll more than guard - But it becomes useful against bosses like Xehanort-Riku & Sephiroth. Just need to learn the enemies attack patterns. The Flying Grey Warden wrote...
Guard kinda sucks atfm. For some reason it feels a bit slow, and parrying not.
Atlantica sucks worst so far, swimming mechanics really feel tedious.

You are not lying. Too bad this guy never learned that. If he were playing on Proud/Expert he would have never finished the game.TheChris92 wrote...

Somewhat. Cerberus' ball attack is probably one of the easier attacks to guard against in my experience. When you get to the Ice Giant is where the flaws of guard start to become apparent. During some of those projectile volleys you start to notice how much time it takes between guarding against one set of attacks and another set on its way to hit you, before you can even guard again. In most battles you don't need to volley attacks because the attack area usually presents itself in other ways. So just moving out of the way works fine. That Ice Giant is only vulnerable being hit in the face, and the only way to hit him in the face is to smash his attacks back at him, because he's always out of your reach otherwise. I find him more annoying than Sephiroth in a way because of that. Luckily his attack damage is nowhere near Sephiroth level, especially with the correct equipment. The Flying Grey Warden wrote...
Tried using guard with cerberus to knock the balls back at it. Guard cannt guard well against volleys or succession attacks.
