Too new and readily available for that I think. I suspect coded ended up on there because people have moved on from the DS, same with Birth By Sleep, Vita being the new kid on the block.AresKeith wrote...

Far as I know, Square has two Production studios for Kingdom Hearts. One that is based in Osaka (is that right?) and one based in Tokyo -- The Tokyo team's latest Kingdom Hearts game was 2. Ever since they've been replaced by the Osaka team with Birth By Sleep & 3DS, whereas another studio called "h.a.n.d?", who made TWEWY did Days & Coded. The Tokyo team has basically been working on Versus since 2006, lol -- I personally prefer their Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2, since I liked the combat in those and the flashy boss fights, which still exists in BBS ofc. But I just don't like this Card & Command system thing, but yeah..J. Reezy wrote...
Nah, still just Square. Apparently Disney co-developed the 2.5 HD remix. At least, I saw that somewhere. Not sure if it was true.AresKeith wrote...

Dream Drop Distance. The touch screen features are pretty uneventful but moments where you have to use them aren't constant. Should've just come out on PS3 or something. That would be too easy for Square Enix though. They love milking the handheld cash cow when it comes to Kingdom HeartsRavensword wrote...

Yeah I'm not really a fan of the command system either because it cripples the normal combo system that I grew VERY accustomed to in Kingdom Hearts II. It's pretty much a throwback to Kingdom Hearts where Sora's more appealing moves were manually activated, this time with a standalone cooldown after 1 use instead of MP.TheChris92 wrote...

I don't know about CoM (haven't watched or played it) but BBS does have a cooldown for what used to just be normal, equippable abilities as well. That's where Dream Drop Distance got its combat from. I can't remember if BBS got its combat from 358/2 Days or not, I haven't seen much of that either.TheChris92 wrote...
I've always wondered - Are there cooldowns for normal melee attacks in Chains of Memories & BBS too? It's just that the command system just seems so convoluted and confusing in comparison to just equipping abilities like in KH1 & 2. That sucks to hear about the cooldown systems for magic, bah :I

Chain of Memories is influenced by a system where the card with the higher number breaks the opponent's, and 0 happens to be an instant breaker immediately but is subject to breaking on its own.
When you use up all of your cards, the only way to get them back is to go to the card slot thing that says "1" and press either A (for GBA) or X (for PS2) until it fills up. Then you'll get the cards back, EXCEPT for the first card used in a sleight.
As you keep going, the refill card slot goes from 1 to 2 and then finally to 3. This is the only means of reacquiring basic card attacks, short of using an Elixir or similar item cards that refill your deck.

Oh yeah, all that. That's where Flick Rush comes from. Kind of neat to turn that system into a mini-gameThe Ethereal Writer Redux wrote...

Oh goodness - I don't like the sound of that. Does this mean that ordinary melee attacks, like in Kingdom Hearts 1, are cards now and have cooldowns? The Ethereal Writer Redux wrote...

I know what part you're talking about, once he starts spamming those two attacks at the same time back-to-back it's hard to get attacks in again. That's when you really have to start paying attention to when he shoots the ice spears. I try to just to run around in the general area so I know he'll be sending them at me. As long as you're blocking the spears the snowballs from above will be blocked while you're sending the spears back at him.TheChris92 wrote...
Aye - I manage to get it to half green health - But those damn Snowball spam attacks, alongside the icespikes - Ugh, it's already a mess with the dodgy camera angles :I

Yeah I know what bracer is. Luckily they added it to KHII, very useful tbh. But wait, what level are you at? Playing on the highest difficulty, you should be around level 80 before you do that and the Sephiroth fight. Well, that's what I did.TheChris92 wrote...
Yeah, I need to watch for that. Leaf Bracer is an ability that allows you to heal uninterrupted.

Well, sort of. If by cooldown you mean "Wait X amount of time and get attacks back", no. As I said, once you exhaust your battle deck you have to use the card slot that has a 1, 2, or 3 affixed to it to recharge the deck.
See here for what amounts to a basic enough guide to understanding it. The player is using sleights like crazy, which renders the first card in every sleight unattainable upon refill. It's a means of counterbalancing so the player cannot abuse the sleight method.
Sora's abilities, like Sonic Raid, are influenced by the sleight system. A certain total value of cards will give certain abilities, as will a certain order.
For instance, Mushu plus two Fire spells creates a devastating explosive attack.

So I finally beat the Ice Titan and now dealing with another nuisance. Waves of Invisible & Angel Star Heartless (The most annoying Heartless in the game, specially in groups) at the End of the World. The worst part is that the game thought it would be a good idea not to offer any safe points after Chernabog. :/

You're kind of sort of way underleveled though. You really should just be grinding in the Coliseum, it'll make things easier for you. That whole gauntlet can be annoying but at the right level you just know you'll get through it. You're on Proud though, unlike this guy, who had trouble on NormalTheChris92 wrote...
Yeah, I don't like the sound that. I certainly hope the Command system of BBS is better than that. I'll miss the system of KH1 & 2.

Very big fan of KH1 & 2...the others I didn't like. I'm a big fan of Ansem (Billy Zane version) since he was far more talented then the replacement VA.
The storyline IMO of KH have gotten so ****ing weird & confusing that I gave up on the series. If KH3 proves any worth I may check it out.
Also if anyone knows where I can post suggestions to Squaresoft on KH3 please send me the contact information. I like to see if they can bring back Billy Zane (the VA for Ansem) Thanx
