Playing Chains of Memories for the first time now - Is it just me or has Quintin Flynn's voice acting as Axel changed drastically? Same with Roxas in Days. Jesse & Quintin were awesome in KH2, but it feels like their acting has declined a bit over time.

Their acting has changed a bit (though I thought Axel's voice acting in Re:Chain was great) but consider the elements of the story. I imagine the reason for the change is because of the difference in timeline. For instance, Re:Chain takes place in the early parts of Days, where Axel was still under the assumption that he was just a Nobody who can't feel anything and believes he can only fake emotions, conjuring a lie.

So there's going to be some sort of vocal dissonance between that and his KHII self where he feels emotions (and the later parts of Days where that same thing comes into play).

Same with Roxas. It's a matter of adapting to the timeline, if you ask me.

Except Roxas still actually had a heart, whereas Axel didn't. It's not really the same, if you ask me.

True, so never mind. Even if Roxas didn't believe he had a heart, he did have one. But then, he had no memories to draw off of, remember? What memories he did have were scattered, and a lot had been poured into Xion who was a receptacle for memories.

Well that's true. Memories can be just as important within themselves, I guess. Knowing how to feel and not being able to. Being able to feel and not knowing how to. It's easy to see how Roxas and Axel saw a little of themselves within each other.

It's Disney owned (or at least affiliated), so yeah. And it's something I've repeatedly mentioned on Tumblr as me wanting to desperately see in there, along with Vayne Solidor.

I just wanna see KH3 and how the game would have Master Xehanort, Vayne Solidor, and Xanatos react to the plot at large. Three masters of Xanatos (Xehanort) Gambits and Speed Chess, going head to head?

I really liked 358/2 Days. I was skeptical about it, starting out, but now that I've finished it I'm really pleased.

I'm kinda thinking Xion might be my favorite...

What's funny is that I just bought some ice cream...

I've been meaning to start proud playthroughs of KH1 and Re: Chain of Memories, but I've been focusing on other games. Probably will start when HD 2.5 Remix comes out if not earlier.

But Axel had the same behaviour he had in KH2 in BBS when he was human - Take a look at Demyx. He's behaving like a complete wacko, despite thinking that he doesn't have a heart. We can safely assume that's how he was as a human too, same with Axel. He also had a lot of snarky lines in the GBA version that was edited in this one. Quintinn's acting just isn't the same. Maybe it's the voice director's fault or the writing. There definitely isn't as many memorable lines as in KH2 - I really do dislike the card system in this game. Already feeling nostalgic for KH1 & 2 gameplay.

Does anyone honestly remember every member of Organization XIII's names? I forget them constantly... I know Axel, Xemnas, Xigbar, and Roxas. I think I remember a Demyx, but hell if I know who the heck that is. Is it the sitar guy?

And Xion, of course.

I remember Xemnas, Xigbar, Saix, Xaldin, Vexen, Axel, Lexeaus, Zexion, Demyx, Luxord (one of my favorite members), Larxene & Marluxia - Don't remember the rankings precisely. Then there's Roxas too.
