Plus from the looks of things Nomura's team doesn't have much experience on 360, it may be a bit more difficult to make a port than it seems.

Why not? FF 13 was on 360. I read complaints about making games for PS3 not 360. Only problem I can really see with FF13 on 360 is the disc swapping.

Yeah, but FF13 was made by a different team, Nomura is working on Versus XIII which it seems is going to be PS3 exclusive. Since it seems like Vs.XIII will be on a very similar gameplay system it may add more difficulties to development that they want.

@Namira: The point I was making is there needs to be a way for people to play/see the backstory to KH3. A release on 360 would rely on people having owned a ps2 and played the series, since sony owns the rights to the previous 2 games there is no chance in them being released on 360 (Unless there is a full remake... *FFVII*Cough*). Releasing the 3rd game in a series without any backstory would either result in huge backlash from people who bought it and have no idea what's happening or would result in the story being 'dumbed down' so the new audiance could jump in. Both of which seem like things you want to avoid as publisher.

Dust King's got a good point. They'd be taking a heavy risk at trying to appeal to Xbox players because there's no guarantee that people who own a 360 owned a PS2 at some point prior. With keeping it as a PS3 exclusive, there's a higher chance that those who buy it have also played most if not all of the KH games.

Plus, I imagine it has to do with Japanese company relations. Sony, Square Enix, and Nintendo are all based out of Japan, whereas Microsoft is based out of Washington.

hmmm yes it would be nice to get this back on topic. Ultimately the decision is out of our hands.

Anyway, best thing? Psh I don't even know. Does everything count?

Also, what do people think about Billy Zane being replaced by Richard Epcar for the voice of "Ansem"? Do you like the new voice, hate it, think it suits "Ansem" and Xehanort?

Personally, to me Billy Zane and Richard Epcar both do the role equally well, but Billy Zane did this scene extremely well:

also I find it funny that Dragon Age struggles to show emotion a lot of the time but Kingdom Hearts is always able to. In facial animations, voice overs, etc..

That's because Sqare have always been better at technical stuff, while BioWare have always had superior writing.

actually I don't think Bioware is superior to Square in terms of writing. I think they're both equal. Every Square game I've played has had a story that has engrossed me just as much as Bioware's have.

I don't mean the stories themselves(FFVI being my favorite game from Square). I meant the companions and their witty banter.

Mmmmm.......... Well, I may be biased because I love Billy Zane....... so I might leave that question - his voice is just wonderful (so good he would make a great BioWare love interest) and FWIW I think Rose was stupid in Titanic :P Jack wouldn't have got a look in ;) Ummm, yeah, see? I can't comment on that one.
I think Square and BioWare both write beautifully in very different ways, but I agree with Alistairlover94 that BioWare beat them with party chat etc.

hmm... well the only reason Bioware excels in the witty banter area is because they put more of it in their games. Bioware has both quality and quantity in that field. As for companions, both companies develop their characters exceedingly well.

@Jenova, I could see Billy Zane voicing a companion.

True! :)
As for your other comment, don't raise my hopes like that  I would swoon.........
I think in KH it isn't just his voice though, it is that he is an excellent VA.........

You serious? He has no character development. Even Tidus, who I heavily dislike has really impressive character development. He stays the same character from start to finish. "I'm a hero!"Image IPB

there's more to him than that. On the surface he seems like he just keeps spouting that, but one of the greatest things about his character is that he continuously keeps an optimistic nature to shroud the guilt he carries.

There is nothing inherently wrong with a character not developing or changing if the character is well written and if it is true to the character to remain who they are, imo :)

Yeah. That is your opinion. Snow is my second most hated FF character. Tidus has the number 1 spot.

A character doesn't have to evolve or change to be well-developed

I agree. But Snow should've stopped being so cocky after a certain point in the game(see Hope trying to murder-knife him scene).

I've seen it. Damn good scene. But like I said, his optimism and ****iness are just covers for the guilt he feels. Especially when he finds out who Hope's mom was.

If he feels so guilty, he should've dropped the "I'm so perfect, i'll protect everyone!Image IPB" act, after that scene. He should've become more of a realist, and realize that not all human life can be saved. That's my opinion, anyway.

maybe. But a lot of people hide behind a smile when **** goes wrong. I'll have to finish up FFXIII sometime. I stopped around Vanille's hometown, or what was left of it.

God the music there was just astounding.
