I take it back -- Christopher Lee AND Billy Zane.I can't argue that.

>.< swy for making another kh series thread D=
i will try to remember this one
No problem! I'm actually surprised the others have kept it going strong.
Whoa, I go looking through old threads and I'm seeing that Dream Drop Distance is crappy has been tried to be functionally used in a sentence? What is this?
Some people, man.
The combat of Chain of Memories influenced the other games -- Birth By Sleep & that crappy 3Ds title both have combat systems based on the whole card-nonsense and only partly on the old combat system.
Eh, different strokes. Still, you have to admit some of the commands you could make were pretty awesome and should come back. For instance, Sora having three fire tornadoes surrounding him as he floats towards his enemies (CoM).
Dude Aquas voice was mad sexy, what are you talkin about even?
I've heard her VA and while it's not say... astounding... it's certainly not as dull as I was led to believe. Also sexy.
Lolno.
The only sexy voice in Kingdom Hearts is Christopher Lee.
This is true.
Hell, a lot of the voices in KH are sexy
Billy Zane
Forever will he be Xehanort's Heartless to me. While Richard Epcar is an astounding VA and great in the roles he's been given, there's just something about Billy Zane's acting that just... synced up so damn well.
Oh my god, they actually provided voice acting for scenes previously not voiced unlike in the first Collection. Although, Namine's voice sounds inconsistent with her original from KH2.
The only thing that disappoints me is how Lingering Will will now have Terra's voice (you can hear the battle grunts and they sound like Terra's). I dunno about other people, but I loved the metallic voice Lingering Will was given.

I'm curious as to what peoples' opinions are on some of the more... unpopular characters. Like say, Ansem the Wise.

Ansem is that unpopular? Well I don't blame people, he's kinda dull.

Dull? Well that's a new one!
I've never heard Ansem the Wise called dull. I've seen him be hated and reviled, but never called dull.

Been far too long since I last played KH2 to give a proper answer, but I remember liking him back in 2005. Will have to replay it again though.
Well the comparison is certainly noteworthy, which is always good. I especially like that they took their time to update each "realm costumes" to never ones. Will be fun to discover how others have changed.

I can't look at your avatar without thinking you're KoP lol.
I heard about that. And America gets a kinda lame version in comparison.
On the bright side, more Eraqus/Xehanort moments for all!

Haha, was afraid some people would make that comparison.
Pah, the EU version looks pale compared to that one.

Message from Tetsuya Nomura
If I had to pick, I am a person more on the dark side like Xehanort and co., I harness the burning anger in my heart into what I create. Kingdom Hearts III’s current development explodes very much in this sense. Each time, it’s a battle with Sora and co. who are the exact opposite of myself, it’s been over 10 years and yet we haven’t reached a conclusion.
This battle will surely last longer.
In Kingdom Hearts III as well, I am scheming many challenges that Sora and his friends must overcome, because I myself cannot lose either. And in preparation for the great battle that lies ahead, we have this one book that looks back on their entire journey.
When I think about it, I had an explosive mindset when I made the first Kingdom Hearts as well.

Has anyone listened to the remastered songs of Kingdom Hearts II on Youtube yet? Just gonna leave a few examples here:

Definitely preferred the original version of The 13th Struggle.
Cavern of Remembrance still sounds excellent though. Square has lost a legend of a composer, along with lots of other things...

I read this and thought Yoko Shimomura died. I was scared for a second.

Not at all -- Looks like the source I was looking up was wrong. She's still working on Kingdom Hearts. I was actually sure she wasn't since they haven't had her do a lot of new tracks for the spin-off titles -- it's mostly been other composers.
Regardless, that's good news for the third game.

I'm hoping she and Utada can come back together to make some intro magic for this next numbered entry. I've been wanting a follow up to Sanctuary for the longest time.

Definitely -- One of the many things that Chains of Memories remake disappointed me with, along with the toned-down dialogue for Axel (in comparison to the GBA version & Flynn's less charismatic performance in comparison to KH2), combat system, was there wasn't a new opening. It was Simple and Clean again, and also for Birth By Sleep as well, which is weird because I feel that particular song only really fits the first game's opening and I gotta say; I did expect a bit more from an entirely new game, with new characters, like BBS. I also felt like Chains of Memories should have regularly switched between Riku & Sora's point of view as that would have made the story a bit more engaging overall.
What I did like about 3DS was that it had a cool opening with a different track for once, albeit the instrumental version of Simple & Clean, which we've heard before, but it's the very awesome orchestral one which also plays over the credits of the first game. Now that was awesome. It also fits quite well with the video here.

So, just a question... well maybe two.
Was it just me who despised Sora? Everyone else was cool though.
And TEWR is still alive?
Interesting how so much burning anger is going into this game.
I hope Sora dies in the nastiest way possible ![]()
