Depends. Do you mean the alluded reference to Square's rather embarrassing line-up for E3 2013 or the April Fool's? In any case, my post was merely a quirky jab at Square and a follow up to Reezy's post, which involves mocking their continued successful efforts at delaying their main games again and again; The supposed anniversary of the series being in April, then it should jokingly be released on April 1st just to make the spectrum come full circle.

I actually believed it...ya know with Nomura begging people to be excited. Even he knew KH2 sucked. He's been blaming people who didn't even work on KH for the series' problems.

 

Cool, look at this thread I found on KH13.com.

Pretty sure he's never said that -- He wouldn't still be making any more titles in this franchise if KH2 hadn't succeeded. Also, lol what's with the random screenshot?

The overall story of Kingdom Hearts is a mess, and while that's been said and done it doesn't apply to KH2 necessarily being a bad game -- Also, implying that Nomura wants to blame someone for KH2 sucking when I'm pretty sure it was well received by critics and a lot of people alike (like myself) is silly, and it raises the question as to whether it isn't just your own restrained-spouse-like-relatioship with the game that is being projected here.

I knew it wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but aside from the 'Sora, Donald, Goofy!' repititions I can't think of anything terribly bad about it. Organization 13 started fangasms that spawned a retcon-ish sequel that suggests plot-creep, and the aesthetics changed for the Final Fantasy stylish, but those are hardly game-breakers. 

 

I mean, sure, I dropped the series after II since I thought it was getting away from the roots of a Simple and Clean Disney homage, but that's stylistic preferences. Kingdom Hearts still has one of the larger and more active fandoms on FFN, which should be a good measure of how popular a series is.

 

 

(And those quotes are awefully mild for a blame deflection shield.)

Kingdom Hearts plot basically becoming Final Fantasty-esque is well established because it is just as unncessarily confusing and overtly complex as any recent titles in that series now.

 

Anyway, what I liked about Kingdom Hearts 2 was that it introduced new characters, that had some actual duality added unto them, which was a welcome addition, alongside the expected Disney content we got as well. More Nightmare Before Christmas is always good in my book.

People hated Kingdom hearts 2? I always thought most people considered it to be the best till birth by sleep came around.

What bad game isn't well received by pro critics? There's a guy on youtube who make overrated game videos and he made a KH1 vid but didn't make one for KH2 because he said too many people disliked it for it to be overrated. If you watch KH complete series reviews on youtube,  you will often see the reviewer bash KH2.

I don't see how your argument counterpoints mine though? Am I supposed to be surprised that there are people on Youtube who actually didn't like the game or something? I'm basically saying that in regards to critics an non-critics alike, a lot of people did actually like the game. Your hatred of KH2 is noted though so carry on with that if you must.
