So the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Collection was released today in Japan, and as to be expected, some hardcore fans have already beaten it. Or at least the first installment in the franchise, Kingdom Hearts. During the end credits however, some scenes from Kingdom Hearts 2, Coded, and Birth by Sleep could be seen.

No clue on what this really hints at. Possibly a follow up HD collection on these three other series as well, or maybe nothing. Anyhow, still waiting with anticipation for this present Collection to come to Europe. I've been dying to replay KH, Chain of Memories again, though it's a shame 358/2 is not playable.

I wonder if the new scenes, added from Final Mix, will be rerecorded in English or if they just stay unvoiced. Also with 358 over 2 days.. will all scenes in the game (including those that weren't pre-rendered cutscenes) be turned into cutscenes too?

A few ideas I had for worlds that could be visited in Kingdom Hearts 3 are, Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Treasure Planet, anyone else think these are good ideas?

I'm both thrilled and saddened by that.

Thrilled because "Yay! It stays on Sony and won't touch the ****box One!"

Saddened because "Dammit, now I really have to buy a PS4!"

Where?  If true not surprising.

Funny if Final Fantasy XV comes out before Versus 13. I bet its never coming.

It looks pretty sweet. Kinda want to get into it (the franchise), but there are a lot of titles on a lot of platforms though... among them, I just have a PS2, GBA and plan on getting a 3ds soon-ish. Finding the PS2 and GBA games would also be a pain. Hmm. It still looks really nice, though.

Yeah, that's one of the shortcomings of the series, the games are all spread out across different platforms, and if you don't know the stories of all of them, stuff can get confusing fast. I've already spilled my thoughts in an unsightly manner in the KHIII thread, I'll not repeat them here.

It's definitely a series I'd recommend, particularly for how it handles characters. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 for the PS2 has, appropriately, the Final Mix version of first game in the series, Re:Chain of Memories, and 358 Days/2 all on it.

So you essentially get three games in one package. Then KH2 is also on the PS2, so you'd have four of the... seven (so far) games.

Re:Coded for the DS is negligible. It doesn't add much to the story that can't be summed up in a few simple sentences, so if you really want to see it you could watch a Let's Play.

That would only leave 3D and Birth By Sleep, for the 3DS and PSP respectively.

Except for the part where Days is just a 2. 30 hour long CGI film -- I've viewed the Japanese version of it and it looks like they've missed out some scenes from the original game, which is a shame. Otherwise the collection looks awesome. Looking forward to numero dres!

don't see the logic in this as no other KH game is available for Xbox. If this is the case they need to release HD remix on 360 as well as PS3 or I don't really see it doing well on Xbox.

It is very likely that a 2.5 Collection is in the works. Scens from BBS, KH2 & Coded are reported to be shown in the credits of the 1.5 Collection - Also the director himself said he would be surprised if there was 1.5 but not a 2.5

The Osaka studio worked on Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep[/i], Kingdom Hearts 3D[/i]

YES! those two games had the best combat of the series

If it's being developed by the BbS team, it's in good hands in my book. BbS is easily my fave so far. Haven't played DDD yet.

DDD is a bit confusing took me a second playthrough to figure out what was going on thankfully it recaps the other games and ties up one or two plot lines
