 I cannot open anything using the symbols minigame. When I choose two same symbols nothing happens.  I am now at part of a game(Zorlus)  where I have to open a door using this method and there is no other way round. I cannot continue with the game because of this.

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling., clean boot, and other stuff suggested by tech support but now they have told me they cannot help further.
It is so frustrating and I have looked around for a solution but I don't think there is one.
Patches do not help either.
Apaert from that load times are slow and patches made it worse but have persevered until now when I can't go on.
I hope someone can help.

1) Please register the game on the forums. This is not an accusation, but given the spate of users with illegally downloaded copies coming to the forums asking for help, forum registration is the only way we can be sure we are dealing with a legit copy. AMD Phenom II x 2 550 processor 3.10 GHz
3 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT
Direct X 9c compatible - I have Direct 10

Have fast are you? After clicking on one symbol you have about two seconds to click on the matching symbol.

Has Fred hit the nail on the head and is it a case of you not clicking on the second icon quick enough?
It is recommended you install the 1.02 patch, as its the only way to fix some of the various bugs that do occur.
Slow loading times are a result of your CPU cores not having matching speeds, and this affects AMD CPU's more than Intel.
Look in the PC Tech FAQ in this forum, section 1.4.8 for instructions on how to rectify this.
You also havent given us any indication of what driver revision you are using for your GPU. With Nvidia cards, its not normally recommended to go past the 257.61 version for Win7/64, or 258.96 for Win7/32.

Also thanks Bog for telling me about the CPU rectify. I knew about that.
Now things seem to be OK
