Mobility chipsets arent really supported in ME1, so its not always guaranteed to work.
Things to try:
Update video drivers from Catalyst 9.6 to 10.6.
Make sure Audio is set to hardware in the configuration tab
Disable ATI audio in control panel and let is run exclusively on the Realtek

Personally, I doubt you'll get satisfaction. The desktop HD 3470 is already so far below the minimum requirement that poor image quality and herky-jerky animations are almost certain, when / if you do manage to eliminate whatever is causing these odd symptoms you are seeing. Video cards in laptops tend to be 10% slower, on average, than the matching desktop cards, and are often as much as 30 to 35% slower.

I don't recall audio as an included feature on either Radeon HD 3n00 I've owned (3850, 3870), I think that my HD 4850 was the first one with it . .Bogsnot1 wrote...

This is getting kinda old now. I probably discouraged him with my comments about the low quality of even the desktop version of his card, but I wa curious whether you were aware of some cards from that generation with the audio, or if your comment was based on the HD 4n00 and newer cards.
