The game's 'rivalmancing' truly is a godsend in the choices department, allowing you to romance characters while being able to change/correct them.

I don't think she's crazy, at most she's stubborn. She sees the potential danger in what she's doing but she's spent too much time on it to give up. I know a lot of people like going down the rival path with her, but I've tried friend and rival and I much prefer friend.

What feels more right? You can always try the other route on another Hawke later =) there is no wrong answer as I see it. Just go with what feels right for your Hawke that you are playing now.

Why? The friend path encourages her to keep using Blood Magic(unless your Hawke's a Blood Mage, herself. Then it makes sense, I suppose).

My blood mage Hawke did indeed agree with her but so do I (as in me not Hawke). I don't think blood magic is evil and I think Merrill is old enough and intelligent enough to make up her own mind. She knows the dangers so its up to her if she wants to risk it and Hawke's place it to stand by her decision (imo).

She shows she has no idea throughout the game with the banther and specially if you take her to the fade.

That being said, I have no idea who this "Marrel" is, but she's probably crazy. So don't promise her a baby.

However Merrill is damn adorable. I like her. She's cool.

I'm glad I killed her. She was the idiot, not Merrill. When I found out she spread baseless lies about Merrill to the clan, I lost all respect for her.
