I was just wondering if the originals for the lithographs is created on a physical canvas that gets digitized and reproduced or created on a digital canvas.

YAY MAGIC! (story time)

@Trap - pretty sure it varies depending on the Litho/artist. I'd imagine that most of the newer ones are all digital (especially Kirkwall...looks like it was rendered in-game), but some of the older ones? - I wouldn't be surprised if they had original physical representations...at the very least, hand sketches.

You remember when you were at school and you'd cut shapes into potatoes and use them to print patterns and things? That's how they do lithographs. The tricky bit is getting big enough potatoes which is where the magic space radiation comes into it. But the principle is the same: potatoes.

Jedi confirmed when the Normandy came out that it was a painting. I believe many of the other ones were created digitally though.

This doesn't pertain specifically to the lithographs, but given that many of them were originally concept art, it's quite relevant: http://meforums.biow...76367&forum=104 (scroll down to the bioware posts).
