Glad to have you back Sapphire...
Good luck w/Soren. I actually feel guilty not playing over here but the plan is bring any No-Reload failures over here to continue - unless of course, the entire party is wiped out in which case there would be no way of being resurrected since the assumption here is that the party decides your PC is worth raising from the dead.
I say that, because my last two party's have been wiped off the face of the earth so I could justify 'reloading' the PC with any sense that, 'yeah, that could happen!'
As for your 'contemplation' on dualing, I'm a traditionalist. The closer to AD&D p&p the better, so if my Dungeon Master would've let me do it then I'm okay with doing it here. Whenever I load the mods I always devert back toward AD&D rules from the 'good old days'.
CKT
Thank you on both accounts.
Don't feel guilty, I just feel like I need some more practice before I go play with the big boys, and going from normal difficulty to Core Rules is definitely a start in the right direction.
Only reason I was contemplating that was because Aerie is a Cleric/Mage, and Deheriana from the Kivan mod can be a Fighter/Mage/Cleric. So I'm probably going to try to use my best judgement on that.
Update Time! Forgive me for the wall of text, and screenshots for the visual people.
Soren, a young male elf, had awoken in his bed at Candlekeep. He was doing his usual chores, until the afternoon, when Gorion had told him that he needed to get ready to leave due to some…unseen circumstances.
Soren went to the Candlekeep Inn where he spoke to some people. The first person that Soren talked to was Winthrop, the inn keeper, Winthrop told Soren that he may have to find a book that costs 5000 gold just to get back into Candlekeep. Soren had called Winthrop a kidder, and then bought some items.

The second person that Soren had talked to in the Inn was a woman named Linda. Linda cut off the arm of the man that she loved to save his life. Soren had said that he would talk to the man to see if he could help solve the problem.

The third person Soren talked to was Firebead Elvenhair. Firebead wanted a scroll of identify from one of the monks named Tethtoril, so Soren said that he would help Firebead out with that task as well.

Outside of the inn, the first person that Soren talked to was a woman named Phlyida, she wanted Soren to go find her book, which Soren obviously agreed to because who is going to help the poor old ladies out if not him?

Soren went into the Priest’s Quarters where a man named Shank tried to kill him! It was somewhat scary to have a random man just try to kill him for some reason that Soren doesn’t even know about. After that scary assassination attempt, Soren spoke with a monk named Parda. Parda told Soren to go equip himself immediately, and to meet Gorion.

Outside of the Barracks, Soren spoke with the farmhand, Dreppin. Dreppin said that Phlyida had left her book in the hay, and that his cow needed an antidote because it was sick. Soren returned the book to Phlyida and got a gem as a reward. Soren found Tethtoril as well to get the scroll of identify from him, and then he returned to Firebead and got his reward of, a healing potion, and Protection against evil.

Next, Soren talked to Reevor, and he told Soren to clear out a rat infested warehouse, which he did, and he got a five gold reward for doing that.

Soren spoke to Hull. Hull said that he needed his sword, and if Soren would go get his sword that Soren would get the antidote for Dreppin’s Cow. So, Soren obviously agreed to this.

Soren spoke to Sir Trun, and got him to take in Linda as his squire. Linda came to find Soren to tell him the great news on what had happened.

Soren entered the Bunkhouse, and found another assassin named Carbos. Soren had no problem dealing with the murderous wretch. Another monk named Karan checked up on Soren as well, he gave Soren the same message as Parda.

Fuller said that he needed some bolts, which Soren talked to a man named Fuller, and asked him if there was anything that he needed done, and he Soren got him some. Fuller called Soren a money grubber and gave him ten gold coins. Soren also took Hull’s sword and antidote.

Soren gave Hull his sword, and then Hull called Gorion a fool for trying to raise Soren right, but still gave Soren about ten gold. Then, Soren spoke to Dreppin and gave him the Antidote for his cow.

Soren spoke to his childhood friend, Imoen, and told her that he would ask Gorion to bring her along, but she said no. Soren spoke to Gorion after saying his farewells to everyone. Gorion told Soren that if anything were to happen he should go to the Friendly Arm Inn to meet some friends of Gorion’s named Khalid and Jaheira.

On the road, Soren and Gorion were ambushed by an armored figure. Gorion was killed, and Soren was left all alone, wondering why the armored figure was after him.

After the horrible events that had unfolded the night before, Imoen came and found Soren, and joined the party as well! Soren and Imoen went to go loot the bodies because well, Soren and Imoen didn’t really have anything. So, after they looted the bodies, Imoen asked if the body that they last looted was Gorion’s, to which Soren said yes, and that he was going to get the person who killed Gorion.

Soren and Imoen met someone on the road, telling them that there were some more people up the road. Soren hoped that it was the people that Gorion spoke about only a day before. These people weren’t the ones that Soren needed to find, but he needed help to get to the Friendly Arm Inn anyway so he took them along. Imoen asked Soren how he was doing, and he said that he was fine. Then, there was a man dressed in red, and Soren asked him for some directions to the Friendly Arm Inn. Soren found a man named Eldoth Kron, again Soren still needed help getting to the Friendly Arm Inn, so he decided to take him along, probably to only kick him out when he got to his destination.

There was another assassin awaiting Soren at the Friendly Arm Inn. Soren had gone berserk and it had saved him from the fear spells that were cast, and Imoen was too far out to be affected. So, Tarnesh was dealt with somewhat easily. Imoen found Tarnesh’s spellbook and decided to take it as her own. Soren told her to becareful because well, if anything happened to Imoen he would most likely be alone with a bunch of lunatics!

Soren finally found Khalid and Jaheira, and had them join the party almost instantly. Which meant that Eldoth, Montaron, and Xzar were kicked. Jaheira asked Soren where he was planning on burying Gorion, and Soren had said Candlekeep since it was their home.

Soren: Berserker - 1
Imoen: Adventurer - 1
Jaheira - Fighter/Totemic Druid - 1/1
Khalid - Fighter/Mage/Adventurer - 1/1/1
Reloads: 0
Note: I feel like I just played a "Lets play!" Game...Also, Khalid as a Fighter/Mage/Thief should be interesting. Another note, Thanks to Item Revisions, Khalid can wear Leather Armor, or Studded Leather Armor, but he takes a dunk in spell casting speed for doing so.
