Minimal Reload Challenge - Any Takers?

The thing is that magic items, potions etc are already identified when I find them. I like the challenge of having to get newly found items to a mage or storekeeper to identify them until I can get a mage to learn 'Identify'. Even then, I usually don't keep the spell memorized so we have to 'learn, rest and identify' at some point after we find items. I don't know what's causing this since I made a point of selecting the 'Identify all items' option last time I ran thru the mods & even selected the option to make it so that only mages and storekeeps can identify items. Oh well.
Another thing I'm doin' this time, just to mix things up a bit. For Jaheira, since she's a druid I'm selecting 'Druid Only' spells for her first. Then, once I've selected all of those that are available to her, then I'm allowing her 'electives' from those spells that are for both Clerics and Druids.
For Dynahier, sort of the same thing except that I'm having her learn 'Invoker' spells before she learns those from other schools of magic.
This does two things. One, it makes me learn spells I might not normally learn/use and two, it kinda adds to the roll playing thing by making my druid more of a Druid and my Invoker more of an Invioker.
As always, I've selected scripts for each NPC that I generally keep active all the time. I change them up if I find they're just not quite right for the NPC or if they're really affecting gameplay . I'll turn AI off if, for example, we've done something to turn the common folk against us like we did when Zbyszko accidently killed a commoner in the Nashkel Inn. This prevents my NPCs from killing more commoners b/c they have 'red circles' under their feet.
Oh well, back to Beregost.

I've always taken it to mean that the mod IDs all items for you - it's one of the convenience tweaks. The Readme says, "Annoyed with having to identify items all the time? Now you don't have to."
Good thought with the spell selection! I like that type of thing.

These are two different components of BG2 Tweak Pack.
'Identify all items' does exactly that - the game identifies all items for you! Here is what the ReadMe says:
"Identify All Items
Annoyed with having to identify items all the time? Now you don't have to. This component will affect all items in the game, including items introduced by mods, save one: an item from Shadows of Soubar will remain unidentified, as a quest revolves around it being unidentified. "
The other component 'Shopkeepers Have Limited Identification Ability' allows you to fine-tune the ability the different storekeeps etc. have to identify items for a price. Of course, it won't matter what this is set to if 'Identify all items' is installed - there is nothing left that needs identifying...

We've got to do better than this. Off to the Cloakwood!
We confronted Tranzig @ Feldepost’s, he turned hostile &, when attacked, we killed him. We found letters indicating that the next bandit raid would be in Peldvale/Larswood. He was directed to go there to track them back to the Bandit Camp. We accepted his invitation & went from Beregost NE to Peldvale, then to Larswood & finally to the Bandit Camp.
We intercepted bandit raids on the Coast Way, @ Peldvale & Larswood. We killed ~30 bandits, including the bandit leaders Raiken, Teven & a third, unnamed, who carried a broach that appears to belong to the son of Duke Entar Silvershield. We were too late to save the boy but I’m sure his father would appreciate the broach’s return.
Peldvale introduced us to a new & dangerous foe, The Black Talon Elite (BTE). They travel in teams of 3, are armed w/longbows & Ice Arrows and are tough to defeat. We killed 9 BTE in Peldvale, with difficulty &, I think, 24 or so before we destroyed the Bandit Camp.
@ Larswood, our momentum slowed. Time & again we had to rest and/or return to FAI or Beregost to resupply, especially w/PoH, which are becoming difficult to find. More than once, we visited Gellana to raise 1 or more of our comrades. Also in Larswood, we had to battle a Shadow Druid supported by 2 brown bears & a cave bear. Sadly, we killed an innocent druid who’d mistaken us for bandits.
After rest & recuperation & resupply (RRR) we assaulted the Bandit Camp. Our first battle got off to an ominous start when Minsc fell early. There were 4 or 5 bandit’s w/bows, a bandit leader, Credus, & the Grand Master of the BTE, Taugasz Khosann. This fight was looking bad as I too was badly wounded. We drew Taugasz away in pursuit of us. Dynahier, Khalid, Jaheira & Imoen did a masterful job of isolating & killing him while I tried to heal. His Full Plate & enchanted tower shield are a blessing. Jaheira used ‘Entangle’ to wrap up the remaining bandits & we took ‘em out. We rested S of the camp & then attacked & destroyed the Chill leader, Ardenor Crush & 6-8 Chill.
Key Event: . Finally, we conducted RRR for an assault on the Bandit Camp main tent. It was a buzz saw. I attacked a mage but he used Mirror Image & I couldn’t land a good blow. Then he cast Emotion or some such spell & took Khalid, Minsc & I out of the fight for what seemed an eternity. Finally we got our wits about us & were able to kill him & the rest of the bandits but not before we lost Imoen, Jaheira & Dynahier (the latter to a trap on the treasure chest). We talked w/a prisoner, Endar Sai, who told us that we should next head to the Cloakwood in search of an ‘Iron Throne’ base that we will surely find there.

Is Venkt really level 7? Unmodded, he usually goes for an early Horror. Maybe that was it?
Anyway, jeebers what a battle!
Good luck in Cloakwood.
(Btw, are you using SimDing0´s Enhanced Goodberries? They were much appreciated by me on Ivy´s run.)

The Goodberry we're using is the 'plain Jane' version. Using this spell at all goes to my desire to try and make Jaheira more of a real Druid and Dynahier more of a real Invoker, making them choose spells from their specific discipline before any others. I usually have Jaheira cast Goodberry every time we rest & give a handful to one member of the party.
Btw, I had Dynahier write 'Identify' into her spellbook even though I goofed up & set the game up for 'ID all items.' That's kinda my penalty to myself for goofing up - Dy is short one spell that she could have written to her spellbook since it's taken up w/that spell.

', it was "horror' that he cast on us. I can tell by the little symbol that was on our small character images. Funny thing is, I had Jaheira cast 'Chaotic Commads' on my PC before we went in the door. So much for that experiment.
Chaotic Commands protects from Confusion/Chaos and all kinds of Charms/Dominations, but not fear effects.
How come she knew CC? It´s a 5th-level spell, way out of her league in your party. A scroll? (I known there are a few)

As an aside, even though we've been to Beregost my party is not yet aware of the Temple of the Morning, since nothing in gameplay has yet revealed it. I'm dying to go there but I want something in the came to reveal the Temple to my party for realism purposes. Even when I click to see the 'worldmap' it doesn't show so I'll wait until it does - could really use those 20 PoH in the Cloakwood. Yeah, I could say I heard about it while walkin' around Beregost but something about that doesn't feel right. I only found out about Thalantyr from Berrun Ghastkill, and later, Taerom Fuiruim when I took the ore and mineral poson there.

Our investigation led us from the Bandit Camp to the Cloakwood in search of the Iron Throne. The Cloakwood led us into a side quest in support of the Cloakwood Druids (CDs) & their Archdruid, Seniyad. I think he’s an Archdr
uid anyway, not sure. Anyway, our support of the CDs brought us up against the Shadow Druids (SDs). When all was said & done we’d killed about 10 SDs and their Archdruid, Amarande. We managed to save 2 CDs that had been taken captive & earned friendship w/Seniyad &, I think, greater devotion from Jaheira & Khalid. Key Event: We also ended up in an area of the Cloakwood that was infested w/spiders, Ettercaps & traps. We managed the hazardous & tedious area well enough but I led us into a slaughter when we invaded the Spider Queen’s Nest. Jaheira cast ‘Bless’ upon us & we ‘buffed’ expecting trouble when we entered but the spiders & Ettercaps were too much. We tried to extract ourselves & take them 1 by 1 couldn’t. They poured out of the cave & we scattered & tried to limit the damage but I got caught in a ‘web trap’ & ended up in the Temple of Wisdom. Our first effort to get off the island was no less successful. The Cloakwood Nest claimed me twice. We finally collected ourselves & defeated the Spider Queen.
Later, I made another bad decision & entered a cave deep in the Cloakwood @ a time when we should have headed back to the FAI for much needed RRR. The cave was the home of 2 large Wyverns & 3 Baby Wyverns. I took a barb early & was not able to get aid quickly enough nor was I able to get my own Neutralize Poison in time. The next thing I remember I opened my eyes in the Temple of Wisdom. We returned & were victorious, drawing the Wyverns out of the cave & defeating them fairly easily.
Treasure of note: Gold/Gem s/Jewelry: ~ 350 GPs, Fire Opal Ring, Water Opal et al (sold); Ring of Folly (sold); Armor/weapons: Spiders Bane (Mi), Eye of the Strom (Ja), Root of the Problem (Sold); Potions/scrolls:[/b] P/Freedom (Zb), PoH (General Use), P/Antidote (Zb); S/Infravision (sold), S/Ientify (sold), et al.; Misc:
Leader Notes: I’ve been forced to sell s important items to raise party members. We’re out Bracers of Defense AC6, a Ring of Infravision & Jaheira’s Club, ‘Root of the Problem.’ I‘ve got to do a better job of protecting my followers… & our treasure. Our reputation for righteousness is preceding us now & Dynahier has decided to give up using Necromancy Spells. I applaud her decision. Speaking of spells, Imoen is looking over Tarnish’s Spellbook & her little ‘artifact’ @ every free moment. Between that, her constant questioning of Dynahier & being brought up around Gorion, I’m thinking she may be considering Dual classing to Mage. In addition to the two Wyvern’s we defeated 5 Sword Spiders, 2 Phase Spiders and many other monsters so far in the Cloakwood w/the mines still to come.
Current Disposition: RRR @ the FAI.
Next Steps: Into the mines – again – this time in the Cloakwood!

You got the archdruids right, I think.
With NPC Project and Jaheira's quest, the Shadow Druids have a second archrdruid, Andarthe. You probably killed him and his lackey outside the treehouse as a last part of the quest.
(Don't forget to talk to Beador again for a small XP reward)
On another playthrough, I recommend doing the whole thing the other way, and you get the coolest dialogue if you recruit Faldorn before talking to Aldeth. Faldorn can later report back to Amarande and get a reward after the mines are cleared out.
Cloakwood is hard on Zbyszko, yikes!
My first thought: "So she's now barred from three schools?!" Then I realized you use Tutu so she can cast Conjuration/Summoning spells, unlike in vanilla BG1. There are a couple of useful ones indeed.Charlestonian Knight Templar wrote...

Still, it's a big step to give up one of the few crowd control spells that isn't an Enchantment/Charm: Horror.
(You list Vampiric Touch for her at level-up. Has she given that up, then?)
Isn't it the other way around? In my current setup, there are 5 Phase Spiders (3 in the far SW and 2 in the far NW of the map) and 3 Sword Spiders (two inside the nest, one outside).Charlestonian Knight Templar wrote...

How does using the AI scripts work for you? I turn AI off as soon as I start a game, and never use it.
As for the image: it looks like ImageShack has deleted your file. Maybe they do not allow hotlinking?
I use Photobucket, and can recommend it.

Thanks for the tip on Faldorn. I've never used her before. Funny though, I always mod her into a Druid/Avenger.
Yeah, the Dynahier thing just kinda happened. Suddenly here was this LG Mage practicing necromancy & it didn't feel right so I just kinda decided to play it that way. Funny you mention the 'other two schools' she can't use cause I just realized there were two and not one she was barred from. I knew she couldn't use Enchantment spells though.
I think there were two Sword Spiders in the Spider Nest and we had three 'wandering monster' (to coin an old D&D term) encounters w/Sword Spiders. Tough hombre's they are. We ran into the Phase Spiders out on the road somewhere. I keep a list of everything I kill, even going back to check the log to make sure I'm identifying the right kinda Spider, wolf etc but I'm sure I make mistakes.
I really like using scripts b/c it makes things more unpredictable. I feel like NPCs are 'people' too & giving them a mind of their own in combat makes me have to react to their decisions, e.g. I might be beating on one monster, Dynahier 'Blinding' a second & Khalid & Imoen shooting arrows @ a third when I really hoped everyone would be shooting @ my foe. As a soldier, I know that in the heat of the moment there is chaos and umpredicability, much as giving NPCs scripts adds to my game in BG. I DO have a standing SOP that if anyone, ESPECIALLY my PC, is charmed or otherwise incapacitated, that the party is to ALL attack the monster that is the most likely to cause grave damage first, then focus on the next most dangerous and so forth until the threat is removed. I think it makes things more realistic & again, gives the NPCs somewhat more of a mind of their own. I will switch scripts up if they're not working & roleplay in my mind that the PC had an 'Ater Action Review' w/the NPC and they made a mutual decision to 'try something different.'
All in fun.

Next, she took on Carbos,

(With just a singular stab of a dagger.)
Lastly, with Imoen in tow, the duo took on Tarnesh, i1111.photobucket.com/albums/h463/HolyLight101/Ayaka/BGEE/Baldr003.png.
(Well, he got blinded and then got killed by guards.)

Some might remember Zbyszko. I played him using Tutu but seeing as I was startin' BGEE for the first time I thought I'd try him again. He's been tearin' thru' Faerun like a hot knife through butter too! Well, except for that pesky Cave Bear outside the Nashkel Mines, that is.
Zbyszko is patterned after the protagonist in the book, The Teutonic Knights. As such, he is a knight, Lawful and Good in all he does. He tithes 10% off the top every time he visits a temple, whatever the reason.
In the essense of time (so he can head to Baldurs Gate) Zbyszko has:
Joined up w/Imoen, his childhood friend from Candlekeep
Joined up w/Khalid and Jaheira as admonished by Gorion, "should we ever get separated"
Killed six assassin's (Shank, Carbos, Tarnesh, Karlat, Neira, Nimbu)
Cleared the Nashkel Mines and defeated Mulahey
Hunted down and punished Tranzig
Followed the bandit trail in the northeast thru Larswood & Peldvale & destroyed the Bandit Camp

Followed the Cloakwoods thru the Cloakwood Wyverns

Descended to the bottom of the Cloakwood Mines defeating Daevoeorn...

...and flooding the mine!
While in the Cloakwood Mines Zbyszko allied himself with Yeslick, a LG Ftr/Cleric. Sadly, this alliance necessitated parting ways with Khalid & Jaheira.
The current Party includes:
Imoen:

Yeslick:

Neera:

Rasaad:

After picking up Khalid and Jaheira, there was a mad dash to get to Nashkel so then the pair didn't go away. Once in Nashkel the group picked up Rasaad. Then, they went to the inn for some relaxation, only to find Neira.
i1111.photobucket.com/albums/h463/HolyLight101/Ayaka/BGEE/Baldr004.png
Imoen used an oil of speed.
After that, they talked to the mayor and then that guy asking if Ayaka was Greywolf, and gained a reputation point.
I decided that it was time to go back to Beregost, and turn in some things. As well as defeat Silke (One reload), and Karlat.
i1111.photobucket.com/albums/h463/HolyLight101/Ayaka/BGEE/Baldr005.png
Silke killed Ayaka with a stray lightning bolt. 100gp donated. On the second try, the battle seemed to go much more faster with everyone hitting Silke, killing her, and before Jaheira's Bless spell went off
i1111.photobucket.com/albums/h463/HolyLight101/Ayaka/BGEE/Baldr006.png
Karlat went a wee bit easier, Ayaka hit him with a Blindness spell, and he went down quickly.
On the way back to the Friendly Arm Inni, I decided to pay an ogre a visit.
i1111.photobucket.com/albums/h463/HolyLight101/Ayaka/BGEE/Baldr007.png
Using the circle method, and making Khalid run around like a little chicken, gave everyone else ample time to attack, and eventually kill the ogre.
Currently, the party is resting at the FAI.
Ayaka: Mage/Thief - 1
Imoen: Thief - 2
Khalid: Fighter - 1
Jaheira - Fighter/Druid - 2/2
Rasaad: Monk - 1

While is the Fishing Village, the Zbyszko took time to aid a farmer, Brun, in searching for his missing son. Unfortunately, the man's son, Nathan, was the victim of Ankheg's who were nesting near his farm. Zbyszko and party killed as many as they could and tried to assuage the farmers heartache & fear for the future of his farm by 'lightning their purse', leaving 100GP w/the so that he could start rebuilding w/o his beloved son.
In Baldur's Gate, Zbyszko was hailed by Scar, second in command of the Flaming Fist. Scar asked Zbyszko to look into strange happenings at the Seven Suns Trading Company. Upon investigation, it turned out that the SSTC was infested w/Dopplegangers. Luckily, Zybszko was able to rescue Jhasso, the owner of the SSTC, & his efforts to rebuild his company are underway. Substantial reward.
]

Zbyszko & party renewed aquaintences with Merchant League partner, Aldeth Sashenstar, who they'd met in the Cloakwood, & found themselves knee deep in Dopplegangers - again!

Scar then asked Zbyszko to look into a series of disappearances in East Baldurs Gate. The culprit? An Ogre Mage and a pantload of Carrion Crawlers.
Zbyszko of Candlekeep, at the request on none other that Duke Elton himself, took his juggernaught directly to the Iron Throne. Here, Zbyszko & party defeated six emissary's of the Iron Throne in a huge, pitched battle that ended w/Zbyszko standing alone among carcasses from the 5th floor to the street.
***Took a reload here on the 1st, 'unbuffed' try. Buffed up the 2nd time through figuring the info Destus Gurn provided was sufficient that the party might have prepared for a confrontation likely to lead to hostilities. Even so lost everyone but Zybysko who had to leave the building & hit the Potion Store in SW BG to buy PoH, EoH, PoMB and PoMS before he returned. Tough, tough, tough fight.****
Zbyszko met w/Duke Eltan & was sent to Candlekeep to confront the leaders of the iron Throne, especially Reilter. After renewing acquaintences @ Candlekeep, Zybszko brought down Reiler & his companions only to be arrested for murder. Luckily, Tethtoril remained loyal to Zbyszko & helped him to escape through the Candlekeep Catacombs/Crypts. This escape was a tough row to how but Zbyszko, Imoen and Ajantis came out alive, carrying the most important of their fallen comrades' equipment best they could & anything else that appeared of value.
Zybszko has decided to lay low in Amn for awhile, hoping that the the situation in the North might cool down for him to make a return to Baldurs Gate. In the meantime, he is assisting Nalin at the Temple of Helm by searching for the fallen Nashkel Captain of the Guard, Brage, who murdered his family. Nalin, and Volo, believe something might have caused the sudden change in Brage. Nalin thinks it might be more appropriate if Brage does his penance @ the temple if, in fact, he was under the influence of something nefarious. otherwise Brage will face the executioner. To this point the party has completely searched:
- The Nashville Carnival
- The Valley of the Tombs
These adventures have led to a a few difficult encounters but none the party couldn't handle w/ease. Most significant was w/a group of Amazon assassin's who mentioned the Iron Throne as Zbyszko dispatched them.
The search for Brage continues. First to the Fireleaf Forest south of Nashkel.
Note: I know where he is but neither the journal or the quests log points me to the Archaelogical site, so I
assume Zybszko would start be looking in the areas nearest Nashkel.
2 reloads:
- Cavebear @ Nashkel Mines
- 1st Battle of the Iron Throne (unbuffed)

Zbyszko of Candlekeep is becoming a knight chivalrous, true & STRONG!

Ayaka led the group to the Carnival after hearing a rumor about it. A tent was explored, and the team took on a very angry mage.

Jaheira used Light Cure Wounds on Khalid, but Khalid still had a Morale Failure after being brought down to like 1 HP.
Then, we headed to the Nashkel mines, and found a man named Prism, and decided to help him out with Greywolf.
i1111.photobucket.com/albums/h463/HolyLight101/Ayaka/BGEE/Baldr011_zps5320ce67.png
The man was immune to sleep, and blindess, so basically Khalid had to run like a little girl, then Jaheira, then Khalid. So on and so forth. Khalid had lost his weapon, but good news! It was replaced by Greywolf's!
Ayaka: Mage/Thief - 1/2
Imoen: Thief - 3
Khalid: Fighter - 2
Jaheira - Fighter/Druid - 2/2
Rasaad: Monk - 2
Reloads: 2 - Damn Kobold one-shotting Aya. ..Although 11 hit points is easy to tear through. Heh.
Note: Yeah, Aya got one shot by a Kobold, so thats 200 GP to the church. I wasn't quite expecting it.

When exploring the group came across a woman named Sendai.

Her followers seemed to be immune to sleep, and blindness.
Then, they came across Vex and Zal.
Nothing really special happened there. (Forgot to take Screenshot.)
Next, they helped a dryad.

Sleep, Blindness, and bless were used, but they were both dead before Bless could be used properly.
Lastly, they took on those giants at the bridge at the Gnoll Stronghold.

Ayaka: Mage/Thief - 2/3
Imoen: Thief - 4
Khalid: Fighter - 3
Jaheira - Fighter/Druid - 3/3
Rasaad: Monk - 3
Reloads: 3 - A bear decided to roflpwn Aya, of course it didn't help that another bear came along anyway.
Note: Another 400 GP to the church, and I have a bunch of scrolls for Imoen to peruse through when I dual her to mage at level 6.

After working his way through Dryad Falls, Fireleaf Forest and the Xvart Village, he and his noteworthy entourage finally found Brage near an Archaelogical site west of Nashkel. They were able to return Brage to Nalin at the Temple of Helm in Nashkel saving him from the local authorities. Zbyszko incurred the wrath of a relative of Brage's in so doing, (guess it was something he said), but Neera used a Wand of Fear and it gave the party time to extricate themselves without having to kill her. (no screenshot)

Next, Zbyszko took his party to rescue a woman being held in a Gnoll Stronghold southwest of Nashkel.
He'd entertained taking a Ranger into the party earlier &, while electing not to, remebered the woman's predicament and chose to exact her rescue. The stronghold yielded no problem & the wizadress was rescued. She offered to join the party but Zbyszko declined & received a tongue-lashing for his trouble.

From there, Zbyszko led his party to Bear River.
Lot's of Ogre's and Ogre Beserkers around Bear River, not to mention Hobgoblin Elite's w/poison tipped arrows. Much more challenging. The party made great use of Neera's Wand of Fire in breaking down foe's before moving into melee.
Victorious Battles of note:
1) Three antagonistic nobles talked their way into a costly fight near Fireleaf Forest
2) Two antogonists, one with Bracer's of Archery, tried to rob Zbyszko in the Fireleaf Forest
3) Two lummocks who were trying to cut down a tree near Dryad Falls
4) A bandit and his band of hobgoblins tried to rob Zbyszko near Bear River

On the run for murdering the murderous Iron Throne leader Rielter, Zbyszko continued to work in Amn staying clear of the Flaming Fist. However, a chance meeting w/a woman in Gibberling Mountains gave him no choice but to curry a sick young man to the FAI where Gellana Mirrorshade was able to heal him.
Moving north a bit, Zbyszko continued to follow up w/side quests he’d bypassed earlier in his hurry to pursue the Bandit’s &, later, the Iron Throne. He met w/Kelddath Ormlyr & spoke w/the Beregost town-crier & headed off in pursuit of the Mad Cleric Bassilus. As w/his earlier search for Brage in Nashkel, he elected to search the areas closest to Beregost. This led him to completely recon & sanitize South Beregost Road, North Nashkel Road, The Temple area, High Hedge & the Red Canyons.
Key Event: It was in the Red Canyons that Zbyszko found & destroyed Bassilus. Zbyszko began the assault after Imoen had recon’d Bassilus’ location. Leading w/a preparatory artillery barrage that he’s come to be fond of for more challenging opponents or those he fears might have dangerous magic, Zbyszko ordered simultaneously
- Neera: Wand of Fire on Bassilus
- Rasaad: Wand of the Heaven on Bassilus
- Yeslick: Holy Smite on Bassilus & undead
Following this, the opponent is usually ripe for the picking & so it was w/Bassilus & his army of Heavy crossbow wielding Skeleton’s & mindless Zombies. Zbyszko delivered Bassilus’ Holy Symbol to Kelddath Ormlyr & received a 5000GP bounty.
Zbyszko tried in vain to save a young mage apprentice of the mage Thalantyr, Melicamp, who’d polymorphed himself into a chicken. Zbyszko retrieved the items Thalantyr required, but despite his efforts Thalantyr was unsuccessful & Melicamp passed into shadow.
Treasure of note: Zbyszko purchased the Robe of the Neutral Arch-Magi for Neera & Yeslick acquired Bassilus’ War Hammer +2.

Zbyszko & entourage met, & had the pleasure of siding w/the famous Drow Drizzt Do'Urden against a band of Gnolls while in the vicinity of FL. In addition, they came across is a hostile trio of bandits that were more bark than bite. Afterword, Zbyszko led his party to the Shipwrecked Coast and the Lighthouse & helped the Faerun to be rid of much evil that had moved into and was living in these areas.

Battle w/Teyngan, Jemby & Zekar near Fisherman's Lake
There was a strange encounter near with a Nereid near the Shipwrecked Coast. She kissed Zbyszko against his will & it killed him. His followers immediately proceeded to pound her into horsemeat pie & she relented & brought him back to life. Upon doing so the party was brought into battle with a despicable Ogre Mage which freed her from his domination.*
*Not counting this as a reload – I knew the drill but went w/how we normally do business & let Zbyszko speak. If anyone else were in the same situation, Shoal restores them, I will assume for my game that the same would have happened for Zbyszko.**
Key Event: The coast yielded more than one challenge, probably the most difficult being a battle w/a group of Ogres, half-Ogres and Ogrillons. Luckily there was a surgeon nearby, a brother, he said, of the mage we fought in the Cloakwood Mines, Davaeorn. The ‘surgeon’ lamented not killing his brother @ an earlier opportunity & his benevolence is an act toward his penance.

The Kindly Surgeon readies to give aid after a difficult battle
Treasure of note: Helm of Defense (Zbyszko); Upon Imoen’s duel-class decision to become a Mage, Zbyszko elected to purchase her the Cloak of the Good Arch-Magi to match that bought for mentor, Neera earlier.
Current Disposition: Resting, recuperating & resupplying in Beregost (Burning Wizard)
Next Steps: Zbyszko is leaning toward moving west of Beregost beyond the Temple area toward Firewine Bridge.

By real adventuring, this author means adventuring in dungeons with long, damp hallways. Where every footstep echoes to unseen ears if one isn’t stealthy as a mouse &every inch threatens a deadly trap.
To these led Zbyszko his devoted followers. Both Firewine Bridge and Ulcaster School act as a façade over ruins such as these, swarming w/Kobolds. As pesky as mosquito’s but with a sting more like a wasp, armed w/Arrows of Fire, they are.

Tough Sledding w/o a Thief. Hurry up & level up Imoen!
To the point Zbyszko stepped into the Firewine Ruins & called upon his childhood friend Imoen to search for said traps, it became apparent that despite their obvious ferocity and aggressive punch, the party lacked the finesse of a Thief’s nimble fingers. Imoen’s decision to dual-class to Mage, a long known dream she held, nonetheless, did not come w/o price. While Rasaad could, & did, locate said traps most of the time, he lacked any skill w/which to render them harmless. Still there were no deaths b/c of traps, but the going was slow & the decision to ‘trip’ them one @ a time was a decision to suffer painful consequence.

Key Event: Still, it was in Gullykin that Zbyszko’s party met a hearty band of Assassin’s. Once again, it became apparent that Zbyszko & followers are awash in firepower few can stand but for moments. The first antagonist was dead before his threatening echoes had subsided & his compatriots w/I moments of that. The Assassins were obviously tough as their equipment does not fall into the hands of the weak, but this party, now w/two mages can overwhelm even the strongest unless temporary folly should fail them.
Treasure of note: Gauntlets of Weapon Skill (Neera)*
Current Disposition: Resting, recuperating & resupplying in Beregost (Burning Wizard)
Next Steps: North of Firewine Bridge to some unexplored areas of wilderness
Level Up: Imoen from dual-class to Thf/7//Mg 1 to Thf/7//Mg3
Current Party:(Reputation: 20 - Heroic)
