do we have any more specific of a time frame for the release yet...I have yet to be able to play my copy of dragon age 2 at all
Why? The game plays fine as is. THe only major bug are the import flags not fireing properly. I am wondering what the 200 fixes are they are mentioning. Perhaps gameplay tweaks and balancing?

If he said he can't play at all, he may very well have issues with the game, and yes the patch will have tweaks and balances but also (hopefully) fixes for people having trouble running dx11/at all and random stability issues.
I don't have any glaring issues as well, however, the game doesn't play fine as is. Its a far cry from what it should be, hopefully 1.03 tries to narrow that gap.

Is there an ETA yet?
Once it's in the cert process it's mostly out of our hands. All I can say as a rough guideline is to look to last patches timetables.

-Black Emporium crashing -I bought a preorder for a feature that I cannot use-;
-The Exiled Prince bugged -I bought a first day DLC that never worked as intended;
- Like you said, import flags not fireing properly - for me the most important thing of all, and I still can't understand how it is possible having to wait more than two months to get that function working properly-;
- DX11 crashing to desktop - there is a discussion long 62 pages in the first page of this forum subsection regarding people who are experiencing crashes in DX11-.
And NO, let me say one more time, NO, I have no intention to play this game in DX9: if I wanted to play in DX9 i bought the console version, i have DX11 hardware, the DX11 path is an active option in the game menu, so i want it working fine like in Metro 2033, Dirt 2, F1 2010, Civilization V, Total War Shogun 2 after the patch, Stalker CoP, Lost Planet 2 and Alien vs Predator.

Hmm...not saying there isn't something odd with the game code, but for your situation, I would try to exhaust every other possibility with your system:
* Windows completely up to date?
* All relevant drivers (motherboard, GPU, sound, etc.) have the latest updated driver versions properly installed?
* Any potential conflicting hardware shut down during gameplay (Ctrl+Alt+Del and go to task manager to see what processes are running and close any that are unnecessary to play the game)
* Potential hardware issues like overheating, bad ram, etc? While you may think this would cause your system to crash all the time, it might only in certain scenarios. For instance, I am working on a family members PC that ran fine except when they run Adobe Photoshop CS5 or when it comes out of sleep mode. It ended up being a single bad stick of ram and didn't crash any other time.
Just some thoughts...

Heroinman - I'm going to have Luke contact you privately and request some log files for our programmers to analyse. If you're still affected by this issue after the release of the patch, please message me and I'll see what I can do to help.
Thanks,
Rob

The cert process for PC is much quicker; while it doesn't go through first-party checks it does still get an assessment externally - last time it was held up by additional fixes or you would have seen it a week or so earlier than console versions. As for the hi-def item pack stuff it is not bundled with the patch but it is in the pipeline and being worked on so hopefully we'll see that soon.arcDaniel wrote...
why not an Beta-Patch for us PC-Users? I know that for xbox and ps3 the patch must be certified, but why for the PC? and what now for the hd-Textures for the DLC? will they come whit the patch?

Did all of that, like I said I worked with 5 different EA support people and that was after me spending hours trying stuff on my own. Thanks for trying to help though

Well, good luck. For what it is worth, Distributor support people (EA, Atari, Activision, etc.) are generally useless. It's like calling Dell for hardware support. They read from scripts and generally suggest things unrelated to your problems as they are not technical. SO, it doesn't surprise me that you talked to five of them and no one could help.
Did you create a thread in this forum with a printout of your DXDIAG log?

they actually get helpful once you get past the initial people. I got sent to some higher department and they gave me a whole bunch of more interesting things to try that I hadn't thought of. I didn't make a thread because I've sent stuff directing to bioware, and I'm pretty sure I've already tried every solution people can give me, just waiting to try the patch now.
